Post Square

Post properties are a bunch of money hungry crooks. They don’t care about you… they only care about profit. I am so much happier in a Marquis property. They charged me $ 1000 in pet deposits for my 2 cats and then tried to charge me an additional $ 600 to replace carpeting when only one room in the 3 room apartment had damage to the carpeting. They refuse to be reasonable about this and have turned me over to a debt collector and will be proceeding to try and ruin my credit. I refuse to give in and pay them this money that they don’t deserve.

I lived here for one year, and the noise was HORRENDOUS. The ceilings are paper thin, so unless you live on the top floor be prepared to hear everywhere the person above you goes. The guy who lived above me was exceptionally loud, I called security nearly weekly, yeah I’m that person, and I don’t care. When you’re paying over 1K for a tiny place you should be able to at least get some sleep during the week. I spoke with the office about it numerous times to no avail. There’s a lot of noise from people waking to the cars from the bar, and the hallways are loud in general. Also, no fault of the apartments, but the mail person who delivers the mail to this place delivered my mail to the wrong apartment on at least four occasions within a one year time span. The maintenance was good, and you can go right downstairs for pizza or Starbucks-​so that’s convenient. FYI, I was in Apt 263.

Amazing location, great ambiance. I loved the building itself, the patio and the pool area. Unfortunately the crowd that lives here is the young, drunken yuppie lot. They constantly make a lot of noise on weekends and knock on your doors drunkely at 4 am. Management doesn’t seem to care and will not reply to your calls/​emails until a week later. Very frustrating and negative experience. Will recommend only if you couldn’t care less about the noise and rowdy people.

I moved in here back in August so I am currently on month 8 and am really glad we decided on Post Square. It’s literally the dead center of uptown and makes everything within walking distance. The pool is solid and our apartment is nice. Any time we’ve had any sort of maintenance issue the team is quick to respond and gets the work done thoroughly.
Before we moved in the one thing we were worried about was plane noise since we had previously lived under the flight path in San Diego. When the windows are closed you can barely hear anything outside and only if your apartment is dead quiet.
I would definitely recommend this location to anyone moving to Dallas from out of town as it is so central.

I’m on my third year here. and since my last review several issues came up 1. The elevators were out of order (1,2 or both) for a few months but recently they have been fully functioning (knock on wood) 2. There was a month where the fire alarms would blare in the middle of the night… it was really bad.
My only complaint now is the entry call box that never works reliably.
Brittany Queen, the asst. manager is always responsive and helpful. Great with emails.
If you live in uptown you learn it’s a trade off for the neighborhood with sometimes immature neighbors.

The other Post properties may be better. Post Square property management team changed last year. The new Manager is absolutely horrible. Erin is non-​responsive, or waits a month or so before getting back to you. Absolutely horrible. She is NOT a people person at all. On the flip side, the Assistant Manager — Brittany is absolutely wonderful. She is reponsive, listens to complaints and/​or compliments, she is not judgemental, she is helpful and absolutely a gem. If it wasn’t for her I would have left shortly after the new manager took over (the new manager is definitely not qualified for her job)
The down side is: the fire alarm is faulty and goes off all the time. If you don’t mind going deaf than this is the place for you. It’s a blood curly, ear-​piercing, deaf causing alarm. The fire departtment is just as tired of coming out for false alarms as the residents are tired of hearing the thing go off. Management has yet to fix this issue.
If you live pool side — it’s very noisy. You have the noise of the fountains at all times. People have to talk louder because of the fountain noise. People here cannot read the signs that state: no dogs (for health reasons — who wants to swim in a pool a dog has peed in?), no glass (for obvious reasons), and no one after 10 pm. The noise does carry and it makes for difficult night sleep when you can hear the «drunk whispers» as loud as a cannon at 3 am.
On the positive side, it is close to the Katy Trail. Very nice place to walk or ride your bike. Plus, you have walking access to McKinney Ave (bars, shops, gyms, grocery store). West Village is walking distance away… or a quick trolley ride.
Post Properties does an excellent job of hosting events in order for the residents to get to know one another.
Uptown area is a dog-​friendly place. You have a pet, this is a good place to live. If you are looking for peace and quiet… this is not the place to be. Too many college students and young professionals who like to party all week long.

Moved here from Gables Uptown Tower! I’m only a couple of months in, but so far I have noticed:
–Management takes pride in caring for the resident peeps
–they do a TON of stuff for the community
The area may be even better than Hall/​McKinney corner was. MUCH quieter. You can always find the party around here – you couldn’t always find quiet at Gables.
The facility is great and I’m saving a considerable amount of Benjamin’s livin’ here.
