Love the hours here and all the different options with Mystic and Versa. Melissa was extremely helpful and gracious by answering all my silly questions about colors and all the different options. Great experience. I’m sold on this place!

I see why there are negative comments!!! The worker «Milly» was rude and if she doesn’t like her job she needs to find another one that doesn’t involve customer interaction and get out of the uptown! And when me and my mother were waking out she didn’t even say «have a good evening or thanks for coming in» like wth you are suppose to make your customers feel welcomed and acknowledged. Won’t go to this location anymore, even when it’s the closest to me! I’d rather drive away from this location.

3 months ago I notified Jacob (who I thought was the manager) that I’m pregnant and im moving from Dallas so I won’t be able to come tan anymore and I want to cancel my memebership, he adviced me to freeze my membership instead of canceling it claiming it’s only 7.5 $ ONCE.
I told him I DO NOT want to pay anything more and he promised it’s only once, so i won’t «lose» my terms (which wasn’t that good anyways)
I agreed and freezed it,
Today I suddenly noticed that for some reason this is the third time they charged me 8.5 $, I called and a confused young women answered me claiming she doesn’t know any Jacob, and she can’t do anything and I need to come over there to cancel my membership, I told her I can’t because I don’t live in dallas anymore and they need to find a solution and refund my money back. She said she can’t help me. I left a msg for the manager (who ever it is) asking them to call me asap. I really hope someone will call. Too bad the company hires confused workers who doesn’t give all information to the clients. Very disappointing.

Thieves! I have been going to this salon for a couple years. I tried to temporarily suspend my account for two months because I was having and then recovering from surgery. I repeatedly reached out to Palm Beach trying to cancel in many forms; phone, email, and in person to be blatantly ignored. And to top it off, when I disputed my charge with my credit card company they filed a counter dispute and want me to pay back monthly membership since JUNE and I HAVEN’T TANNED AT ALL. This company literally made thousands of dollars off of me. I constantly bought product and actually liked the manager at this location, I can’t believe they would turn their back so quickly to make a quick buck (or in this case over $ 300).

Had an issue with PBT, but was ultimately rectified politely by their management. I appreciate their efforts to fix the issue and have adjusted my rating accordingly.

Probably the worst establishment in uptown. Twice they told me that they froze my membership when in fact they did not. They «lost» two of my spray tans that I had proof of payment from and refused to grant them to me. The staff is uneducated and very disrespectful. I cancelled my membership and refuse to go back.

I chose to give them a try due to their location from my apartment. The first few visits I received great service as I bought a package, then lotion, etc. A few visits later and after declining face lotion, additional upgrade packages, it’s very clear you are only looked at as a commission to them (they even talk about it in front of you). I will say some of their employees are warmer than others, but wow — I will be thinking twice about continuing to tan with Palm Beach.

I love this place! Felt obligated to write a good review after SO many people wrote negative ones. I’ve been a member for years and have only had positive things to say about this and ALL locations.
They do tend to push their products but at what business do they not? It’s part of a business. Geez. I was pushed into buying a great, yes overpriced, tanning lotion that I really liked. Next time I ordered it through Amazon for a fraction of the cost. Hint. Hint.
You may think I’ve been «lucky» and had only great things to say bout this place and employees, but I haven’t won the lottery. Great place with a ton of beds and products to choose from. Just might go tan right now;)

Despite having read the reviews, I decided to give this place a call for a one time spray on tan. I was quoted 35 dollars and we set up an appointment. Fine. I drive and a different person greets me saying he’ll wave the 50 dollar cost of a spray on tan provided I buy a product of equal value. I told him that I was quoted 35 over the phone and would rather buy a product at that price point to which he said I was quoted the wrong price. Blatant lie.
This store takes advantage of the expensive location it operates in and overcharges their products in a fashion that left me with the gross feeling of having left a used car parking lot with a massive jalopy, only I left refusing to pay and encourage you to STAY AWAY from this unethical establishment.

Extremely rude and narcissistic manager… I would avoid this place if you have a choice.
I went on my lunch break and my friend gave me a coupon! When I did not want to buy their lotion, because I had some at my house and wanted to go get it; he was like well you have a coupon so it’s not like your spending that much… do you even live around here (snooty). After I said yes he was like «wow congratulations». Gem of a personality right there, womp!

Palm beach is disgusting. They don’t clean the beds properly. They have the most incompetent and rude employees I have ever seen. They are «the villas at Katy trail» of the tanning world.
They are horrible and they’re buying out darque tan, firing all of their employees as if December 8^th and replacing their employees with their sub par employees. So now I will have to pay more to be disgusted every time I tan! What a great Christmas present!
Someone from Palm Beach commented (see below) that if I emailed them that they would make this situation right. I emailed them. They emailed me back and said someone would be in contact with me right away about my issue. Still have not received a response from anyone.
Hey, they’re nothing if not consistent, consistently horrible!

The only reason I have a membership here is because I can walk here and my friend got me a sweet deal a while back when she used to work here. Other than that, I kind of hate this place. I usually just tan a couple times a month and try to be in and out because I hate this place.
I ALREADY HAVE LOTION, I do not need to spend another $ 80 on a bottle. Mine is still almost full. No, I do not need face lotion, either. Also full. Quit trying to sell me shit so you can make a dollar. Especially when I’m HOLDING MY LOTION in my hand out in the open that I PURCHASED HERE. If you’re telling me my lotion that set me back $ 80 isn’t good enough and I should try this hot new stuff, I’m going to be snappy. You guys were the ones who sold it to me.
The key to this place is get in and out as quickly as possible in order to save yourself the stress of saying «no» ten times. Also, check to make sure the bulbs in your bed work before you have to get completely dressed again and have them start the process all over. And while you’re at it, make sure they told you the correct room before you almost have a heart attack while you’re standing there in the nude and hear a knock on your door from the front desk telling you they put you in the wrong room.
I kind of hate this place. Save me

I came here to get a Mystic Tan. I only spray tan for special occasions, and I remember why. These tans are so pricey! Thankfully, I was offered a special, so I can get a «free» tan within the next few weeks with the purchase of my $ 45 tan.
Otherwise, the staff was friendly and the location was clean and well-​kept.
Oh, and the pictures turned out great!

I absolutely love Palm Beach Tan… They have a great selection in tanning beds, lotion, and spray tans… But this Palm Beach Location SUCKS!!! The employees here are SO rude. They try to pressure you into buying things. And I mean I barely made it out alive to tan because some girl would NOT quit bothering me. Then I told her I buy my lotions online so she would quit with the pestering me (when i really dont, i just had already told her I have plently of lotions, I just bought one, and I made it crystal clear I dont want any!), and then she screamed at me saying it was a fake bottle of lotion. SO embarrassing and shame on you palm beach tan for hiring such a mean girl.
Go to the Palm Beach off McKinney in Uptown if you have to tan in this area and you dont want to feel like someone is about to push you off a bridge if you dont buy a lotion…

This tanning salon had the most selection when it came to different kinds of beds. The girl who did my contract was super nice and was a great help when it came time to select which level of package I needed. I never had to wait very long on the few occasions that I did and I could walk in there wearing pajamas and not feel ridiculed like most places in uptown. The only reason I took a star off was they could have a better selection when it came to different kinds of lotions.

After swearing off tanning beds I somehow got sucked back in and signed up for a tanning membership at Palm Beach Tan. I’ve been tanning at this location for a few months now and I have a nice little tan going. The location is right in the heart of uptown and there’s even a parking garage in the back which is convenient. They facility is kept clean and the employees are friendly enough but one thing that drives me absolutely CRAZY is the way they push their products on you. Why must they harass me about buying lotion EVERY time I go in for a tan? Yes, I brought lotion with me. Yes, it’s made specifically for indoor tanning. No, I would not like to purchase a $ 150 bottle of your latest and greatest magical tanning potion. I’m perfectly happy with the modestly priced tanning lotion I brought in. I understand that they’re paid partially on commission and they’re just doing their job and trying to get by but I’m not interested in going to a place where they just won’t leave you alone.
If you’re interested in spending over $ 100 a month on a tanning membership and tanning lotion, go right ahead and visit this location. But if you’re on any sort of a budget, I advise you go elsewhere. In my opinion, tanning’s supposed to be relaxing, and having to fend off the pushy sales people every time I tan is not my idea of relaxation.

This is my regular Palm Beach. It’s close, has garage parking (for those windy or rainy days) and is right next to my favorite sammy shop. Two-​fer!
This Palm Beach is clean, they get you in and out quickly (wait, bake, out) The only problem I’ve had is sometimes I think they have to ‘borrow’ another PBT employee from another location and more than once I’ve gotten the surly one. And even though I know that I bought the ‘GOLD’ level. I still don’t know what it means other than it’s $ 10 more than the ‘not so GOLD’. I think it might actually be like «wood» or something. So I never know what to ask for when they so peppily say «what would you like to do today?». Where as the PBT on Greenville (the much farther away yet preferred one) they’re super helpful and even though I don’t know what I want they tell me ‘oh you’re gold you can do blah blah or blah’ and I choose the better sounding one.
All in all, they get the job done, I just think they should have a menu up on the wall for me to choose from. Not just the secret in the computer screen in front of me. Hey some people are visual.

Being of Scottish descent, I can feel a bit pasty in the middle of winter.
So how nice it is for me to be able to go sizzle my skin whenever I please – and in an environment of caring professionals? But wait… there’s another advantage:

A fair-​skinned person would have to drink 10 tall glasses of vitamin D-​fortified milk a day to have the minimum recommended levels.» While peeps enjoying natural sunlight have the greatest advantage, even fake-​bakers had a significant increase of bone density over those in a test group with little regular exposure.
This is what Palm Beach Tan does for their Uptown clients — they make their bones more dense.
It’s science folks, you can’t argue with a tan and all that great density. If we ever meet, you’ll probably see how dense I am. no, wait – what?!
PBT Uptown is clean, the peeps are fairly nice, and the beds seem to be taken care of regularly. From what I have experienced the «super» beds are the best value.
