History

Established in 2002.

Since its founding, Out of the Box Photos has created photo books and histories for a wide range of clients, including an oil company honoring a retiring executive; a family with 7 children celebrating their parents’ 60^th wedding anniversary; and a tribute. book with extensive writings and photos of a New York Times bureau chief whose 37-​year career took him all over the world.

One of our most significant projects preserved and translated a 75-​year-​old family photo album created for a doctor of Russian heritage whose family history connected with the last Czar of Russia. The doctor’s mother created the album when he came from northeast China to America to study medicine (and later became a world-​respected virologist at the National Institutes of Health).

Personal relationships with clients bring repeat projects for vacation and baby books, honeymoon albums, and family histories.
