A fun place to eat on a Friday or Saturday night! They have inside and outside sitting, though the inside is pretty small. If you go later in the evening, it’s not too bad sitting outside during the Texas summer. Our party all ordered burgers which I would say were just okay. Others around us ordered off the sandwich menu, and the sandwiches looked pretty good. We will definitely come back cause there’s plenty more to try and a lot more summer to go!

I found myself unexpectedly at Off-Site Kitchen on Tuesday night, tired & hungry, having just landed from Sydney hours earlier. My Dallas mates collected me from my hotel & whisked me off, promising me a burger that would knock my socks off. They weren’t wrong. The four of us walked through the door of Off-Site right on 7pm. Finding it surprisingly quiet, we were instantly charmed by the modern fittings & wall of refrigerators, sporting local craft beers & sodas. While initially overwhelmed by the selection, I picked up a reliable Shiner Block, while my friend chose a cold Local Buzz. Interestingly, this particular Golden Ale is produced by a brewery just across the parking-lot; it doesn’t get more local than that. Joining the line to place my order, it immediately occurred to me that deciding on just one burger was going to be difficult. The menu here is grand & everything sounded so enticing. After repeatedly reviewing the menu above the counter & taking in all of my burger possibilities, I eventually decided on the ‘Do It Murph-Style’($ 4.95). This burger is served up on a lightly toasted bun, laced with roasted jalapeño/smoked bacon relish & topped off with a slice of American cheese, salad & their famous special sauce. Not being one to turn down a side, I also ordered a side of Russet Fries with Garlic Salt($ 2.50). As my name was scribbled down by the cashier, I made my way to the adjacent counter to collect cutlery(you never know!) & found myself enticed by a huge variety of condiments, the likes of which I’ve never seen. Never had I been privy to so many varieties of BBQ sauce, chilli sauce or Tabasco. Snatching up multiple bottles, I made my way outside to find a seat in the fast disappearing sunshine. Our burgers found their way to our table within minutes. Once mine was placed down in front of me, I instantly knew I’d made the right decision. While this burger is obviously small in the burger stakes, it is by no means a reflection of how much flavour it packs. On first bite, it became abundantly clear that the char of both the patty & bun is a signature of their success. The crisp bite of the pickles, in combination with the warmth of the jalapeño/smoked bacon relish is just perfection. Not to be overshadowed of course by the perfectly melted cheese & slight sweetness of the bun; a winning combination that wraps this burger nicely into a little parcel of meaty magic. The Russet Fries? A nice side that ties this meal together perfectly, accompanied by a cold beer to wash it all down. What’s not to love? Going into burger mourning once the last bite disappeared, my friend made her way back to the counter & ordered one of their famous Cherry-Cola Mini Pies($ 2.95). A nice way to complete our experience at Off-Site Kitchen. Outstanding!

The real deal! Trinity Grove quality food and ambiance but not at Trinity Grove premium pricing! Come for the burgers and Red Brick Chick, stay for the cold candy, russet fries, homemade sauces, Topo Chico and shuffle board. A must — you’ll be hooked.

Maybe I’m one of the gluttonous folks on Unilocal cuz I don’t understand how this place has 4.5 stars. The place is cute. We walked up to the counter and ordered the Do It Murph Style and Locals Only. We found a table and I sampled the many drink options… grape koolaid, yes please! The babe ordered a Moscow mule. Not to my liking, but it wasnt my drink. We just left Earth Day at Fair Park and were starving so we were excited when the waitress yelled our name. That’s where everything goes left. We unfold our burgers and I thought I ordered from the kids menu. Who the hell ordered a baby burger, not me?! Maybe it’s my small stature. Idk. I thought maybe they had an off moment. Well upon further review the bun was the same size as the patty with a perfect baby square of cheese. So they purposely make small burgers. No way! The flavor was ok. I’ve had better. The fries were fresh cut skinny. We ended up with pieces. The staff is friendly but for $ 24 I wouldn’t make the trek back.

pop on fleek. Jk… They got flavor and taste all around, prices are alright. Dublin soda in bottles are the best. Tasty cheesy fries with a fully loaded jalapeño burger. The burger is a bit of the small side but full of flavor. Off site is a place for comfort food and there is no short of feeling at ease leaving the restaurant. The do it Murph style is my go to but don’t let the other burgers escape your curiosity. The burger was packed with flavor. Trinity has a staple burger joint and off site is the name.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Seriously so tasty! I came here a few days ago for a friend’s birthday and ordered the 48hr brisket sandwich, do it like Murphy burger for my boyfriend, garlic fries and the mule cocktail. All of that costed me about $ 25. The food is reasonably priced and tastes amazing! My favorite was the burger. The flavors blended so well together and just melt in your mouth. Yum! The atmosphere is a classic burger joint with lots of people and a good selection of beer. They have a ping pong table outside around the restaurant. I highly recommend going here at night. The place and its surrounding is lit up so nicely. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and hands down, I would come back here in a flash.

I’d been to the old location and it was nothing special. I had later been to this location and had the Green Chile burger and didn’t like it at all. Today I asked what the most popular burger was and was told it was the Murph so I ordered that and fries. The special sauce is interesting, but not really my thing(sweet relish flavor). I would never intentionally put that on a burger. The burgers are small and the fry portion was small as well. I left hungry. These burgers have thin patties. The price is fine, but I’m not sure why anyone would choose to eat these over nearby Burguesa. On the plus side, the restaurant has nice atmosphere, great service, and is less pricey than it’s Trinity Groves neighbors. Still, it is my least favorite of all the restaurants in Trinity Groves.

I visited here on a weekday afternoon, so it was a sparse crowd. I got the Stock Cheese burger. It turns out that adding russet fries and a fountain drink more than doubled the overall price($ 4.79 for the burger and $ 2.50 each for the other items). I was very happy with quality and taste of the burger. It’s relatively small, but was very juicy and flavorful. I was disappointed with the fries. They were just too greasy and soggy for me. The inside of the restaurant is arranged a bit awkwardly if you ask me, but the outdoor seating area where I sat is very nice… plenty of picnic tables and even ping pong and other games. If I’m near Trinity Groves again, I’ll definitely stop for the burger or try one of their other sandwiches. [Stop #16 in The Great DFW Burger Quest]

I’m making my way through the menu, and I haven’t been disappointed by anything; rather, I look forward to trying new things here because I know how consistently well-made they are. I love the burgers, fries, and ample drink selections. The patio and indoor seating are also comfortable, and people typically share tables when it’s crowded.

The owner of Highland Parks Neighbourhood Services Tavern opened a cool little burger place in an A frame shack in an industrial part of Dallas that felt so non Dallas. He was using the space to cook the meats for NST and started doubling it as a funky meat centric sandwich shop. It felt like a 1970s teenagers secret fort. With its success it over grew that space and moved over to the more commercialized mall complex of Trinity Grove. It’s still cute if a little sterile while the food and space seeming to have more mass appeal — it has lost a bit of the funk that to me was central to its charm. The whole transition reminds me of Austin businesses becoming more«Dallas». A large wall of coolers inside like at a super gas station hawk everything from craft beer to cold candy bars to a myriad of sodas. Service is fast and efficient, and while my brisket sandwich was satisfying and cheap, around $ 7 and a side of fries for $ 2, the meat portion felt smaller. Off sites kitchen’s mojo may have morphed from tongue in check eclectic to a retro hallmark card, but it’s better for family’s and kids now. Parking is now actually possible but the patio doesn’t feel secret or conducive to incognito visits which it once did. Now you can restaurant hop for an after burger dessert or drink at one of the other trinity grove establishments. The old location had these small tinned cherry and pecan pies like you’d find at a Texas roadstop except they were made by a pastry chef. I was sad not to see these on the menu at the new location. Hands down thee best burgers I’ve ever had. Went there again recently and it was even more amazing then I remembered! I literally couldnt get over the taste of my burger the whole day. It may not be very close to where I live, but its always worth a trip and even more so now! I also didn’t realize they moved their location either, but man what an improvement! More space, cool decorations, and even games!

First stop was here for a UYE. It’s a cool ass spot with really good burgers. They have plenty of beer and sodas to choose from and a few frozen cocktails but nothing major. I wish they had vodka, whiskey, or rum, but they didn’t. The burgers and fries are really good but I felt that in comparison to some other burger spots in Dallas it def didn’t overpower them. The service was great as everybody was really nice. Nice interior set too, not sure how you’re supposed to play skeeball tho. Would I go back? Hell yeah and fasho and then take a walk across the Margaret Hunt bridge to walk it off!

Off Site Kitchen is bigger and better and open on Sundays and for dinner! This is still my favorite burger in Dallas. It’s small enough that I can eat the entire thing, which if you know me you know I eat like a bird. The stock cheese is my favorite. I haven’t ordered anything else except for my first visit when I mistakenly ordered the murph. When you walk in you can walk to the wall of beers and help yourself to one and pay at the counter when you order your food. If you get a chance to sit on the patio, it’s pretty cool. There are mini basketball hoops and bumper pool tables out there. There’s also Ms. Pacman and shuffleboard inside.

The hype is real, folks. No need for me to repeat what the other 100 something reviews say. I’m usually one to go bun less on a burger. Pfft screw that, get the bun, and of course get it Murph Style. Best fries ever with the garlic salt. So good you can eat them with or without all the sauces.

Pretty much any burger here is very delicious. Ive personally ordered«Locals Only» and«Do it Murph Style» burgers. Locals only I really like because the jalapeño and mustard combo is delicious. Do it Murph style is great as well because the bacon relish is a great accompaniment to the burger.

Closed on Mondays…,. Really I’m not sure what days they are open it seems they are closed often. Okay burgers okay sandwiches. Cheap beer they have Schlitz for 2.50. But none of this was the reason for the low rating it was cause of the basket Natzi she kept asking us every 5seconds if we were done.

I guess I should’ve read the reviews before eating here. I would’ve known to eat before I came. The portions are tiny and not exactly ideal for the price. I ordered the Brough Ham Fleeetwood and held the swiss.(you guys, know how I feel about cheese). Anyways, the sandwich was more than delicious. Pork shoulder, ham, and bacon relish? Uh, yeah my type of sammie. I tried to get figure conscience and split a side of fries. I will never do that again! I finished the eating race with approximately 13 fries in my belly. Ugh, why are the portions so small? Like, why? In other news, the fries were delectable. I like my fries like I like my men: Skinny and full of FLAVA(half kidding). The garlic salt was the perfect accompaniment on these fries, but I know now to order two sides of fries with my slider next time… oh I meant burger(smile). I love the surrounding Trinity Groves area, reminds me a lot of Austin. So many neat little shops and eateries and guess what? Cake Bar is on the same block. Yippee! I’ll make sure I’ll return when I am seeking a muy delicioso light snack. Hehe.

After hearing many great reviews about this restaurant, I FINALLY was able to make it over to Trinity Groves to check it out. I ordered a standard cheese burger and fries and both were so delicious and full of flavor, they definitely lived up to the hype! I also ordered the vinagrette cole slaw, which was not very good… but that’s not why you come to Off Site Kitchen– get a burger. The restaurant itself is very cool, with amazing popart and music art covering every inch of the 20ft+ ceiling walls. It has a super chill and casual vibe with many«community» tables. The patio area has several games too, I definitely want to come back on a weekend day once it gets warm again.

The new location is really nice and the outdoor space is awesome! The inside looks exactly what I would expect for a burger bar! The burgers are super well priced and there’s a good selection of burgers and sandwiches. The fries are absolutely phenomenal and go great with a side of ranch(it’s 50 cents extra so don’t forget to ask before you check out). It’s an order at the register and they’ll bring it to you kind of place so you’ll get your food within 5 – 10 minutes depending on how busy it is. The burger and fries just have a great taste to them and even the cheeseburger tastes great and simple! Relaxed place to grab a burger and beer and spend less than $ 20 for a couple!

I LOVEOFF-SITEKITCHEN! A few days ago I visited Off-Site Kitchen for the second time. This is the first time I go since they relocated to Trinity Groves though. I’m definitely a fan of the new location. It is a much bigger space than before, they maintained the fun atmosphere, and even added some games(I particularly noticed the shuffle board and Mrs. Pacman). This is all great stuff, but what really matters is if the food stayed as good as I remembered it being. You already know the answer considering I gave it 5 stars… The burger is not only as good, but even better than I remember it being! Hands down the best burger I’ve had thus far. I ordered the stock cheese burger with an extra patty and added the special sauce instead of mayo. I also ordered the fries, which are solid, but I’m here to talk about the awesome burger. So what makes such a simple burger so great? First off, the meat is perfectly cooked and seasoned. It has great flavor that doesn’t get over shadowed by rest of the burger, even with the special sauce on it. It also doesn’t get soggy. They balance everything so well. The veggies on the burger are fresh and they put just the right amount of them on the burger. Off-Site Kitchen has everything down to a science. The burger has no flaws at all. Simply stated, Off-Site Kitchen is a 5-star burger joint because they are able to stick to the classic burger while bringing great flavor. I still feel like my review hasn’t done the burger justice, but just go try it for yourself. That’s the only way you’ll understand what I’m talking about and how I feel about the burger here.

Outstanding! I’m going out on a limb, best burger I’ve ever had! Nice amount of pepper seasoning, fresh veggies, and real ground beef! And the sloppy cheese fries were excellent. Who would have thought to put sloppy joe meat, pico and cheese on fries. Fantastic combination. I hope these guys are coming to Austin! There is always room for another good burger joint!

3.5 stars since I didn’t love my burger, but their prices are super reasonable. I’ve been working my way through the best burger spots in Dallas, and finally had the chance to check out OSK for lunch. Luckily for me, my coworkers that I usually eat with are much more punctual, and they make sure they know my order ahead of time so they don’t have to wait for my late ass. They got here around 11:45am on a Thursday and the line was still short, so they were able to order quickly. Food was ready in about 15 minutes, and arrived right after I got there around noon. We tried: –48-HR Cracked Pepper Brisket(Caramelized Onions, Lettuce, Swiss, Tomato, Cherry Pepper Mayo, VBC Long Roll, $ 7.99, ): Yum– I had a bite of this, and liked it more than my burger(the Murph). The brisket was nice and peppery, and super tender. –Do It Murph Style(Jalapeño & Bacon Relish, American Cheese, Secret Sauce, $ 5.99) & Sloppy Cheese Fries($ 5.99) [ : I was expecting a burger similar to the one at In N Out based on the description, but it was way too heavy on the relish for me. I couldn’t taste the secret sauce or even the patty over the relish flavor, and I definitely wouldn’t order this again. However, the patty seemed cooked well based on what I could taste, so I would just try another burger the next time around. The sloppy cheese fries were too sloppy for me, and difficult to eat– skip. –Russet Fries w/Garlic Salt($ 2.50): Solid, but not the most amazing fries I’ve had. Overall, I was disappointed in Do It Murph Style, but would come back to try some of their other burgers. Or re-order the Murph with the relish on the side since I’m not a huge relish fan to begin with. Service seemed efficient, and I loved that they had a large outdoor patio area to sit at. I believe they have shuffleboard inside to kill some time. Parking wasn’t too tough since they have their own lot, but it’s not super big. There is also additional parking around back.

Ha! Like this place needs more reviews. Go there now. Eat the Murph-Style. Don’t overlook the sloppy crunchy taco(its the underdog greatness of the menu). Get fries. Squirt some of the different available«sauces» on them or your burger.

This place is amazing. One of the best burgers in Dallas, possibly THE best. I had the straight up burger with bacon. Super delicious! Quality meat, toppings and buns. We also got an order of the fries — russet potatoes with just the perfect amount of salt. You have to try them. Total came out to about 8 bucks with a cup for water. The service was also very impressive… the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even though we came in 10 minutes before closing(9pm on weekdays). The patio was charming and perfect for a Dallas evening. I recommend this place for a fun atmosphere & great food. Because it’s located in trinity groves, you’re hanging in this cool little hidden gem of an area. They have a bunch of games indoor and outdoor — like shuffleboard, pool, ect.

We finally found time to stop at Off-Site Kitchen for a burger. I’ve wanted to go forever, but parking at the original location(little more than a shack near downtown Dallas) was tough. When we first tried to go for a burger, OSK wasn’t open yet(I hate that they missed the planned opening date a couple of times). Fast forward four months and we finally found ourselves downtown with time available for lunch. The vibe is cool. I didn’t take any photos outside because it was windy and cold, but there are picnic tables and a variety of outdoor games. Inside…cooler after cooler of beer, with el cheapo options as well as local varieties. Plus a cooler full of fun canned soda and cold candy bars. Just like you might keep them at home back in the day. The drink station has handmade labels and options from the standard Coke to locally made Oak Cliff sodas. And a host of other drinks — regular and sweet tea, lemonade, punch and more. The kitchen is open so you can see everyone at work. We also spotted three frozen drink machines tucked away — full of frozen adult beverages. We couldn’t resist the frozen bourbon coke. Or the Oak Cliff Root Beer. Both were delicious. And the food. OHYUM. I only ordered one side of fresh cut russet potato fries. That was a mistake that I won’t make again. They were flavorful, crispy, not at all greasy with just the right amount of salt. I ordered the Green Chile Bacon burger. The meat — 1⁄3 lb — was amazing. In addition to the bacon and green chile, it came with carmelized onions and muenster cheese. My husband ordered the Locals Only burger. It came with mustard(no mayo), American cheese, bacon and jalapenos. He was very very happy. The walls are covered with posters from the 1980s — we amused ourselves by trying to recall which ones we’d see before. OSK was a great place and now I’ve got to figure out a way to get downtown more often. Or they need to put a location somewhere north of 635. I vote for the latter!

Know this — At time of writing, I’ve reviewed 162 restaurants in Dallas, and Off Site Kitchen is the best. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? While homely and representative of it’s gritty Irving Blvd location, the old Off-Site Kitchen had a bit of a logistics issue. There was limited parking, limited seating, and long lines. While we all shed a tear when OSK finally vacated their old spot for the glitz and glamour of Trinity Groves, we can now wipe our tears while enjoying abundant parking, great dining space, and loads of games outdoors in one of the better spots in town. While you’re waiting in line you can grab a beer in a fantastically varied and bright display while watching one of the several televisions. The staff are fantastic, the food comes out quick, and while new by date, OSK’s modern location maintains it’s classic feel. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Yes — OSK’s prices have gone up(roughly $ 1 per menu item), but everything is still reasonable. Just about any menu item will run you between $ 6.00 and $ 8.00, and while the portions are smaller than say Maple + Motor or eatZi’s, each sandwich will cover a meal even without a side. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? More often than not folks I can systematically break down why I like one item over another, but there are times when something comes together in such a way that I simply can’t explain why I like it so much. That’s the case with pretty much every single menu item at Off-Site Kitchen. The burgers are the best in town, the sandwiches are the best in town, the barbecue is… okay not the best in town but very good, and I can’t even explain to you why. The buns are perfectly proportionate to the contents, the patties are flavorful in their own right, and the toppings all contribute. I simply can’t put it into words, but Off-Site Kitchen has the best food in Dallas. Dual Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? In the three years I’ve lived in Dallas Off-Site Kitchen hasn’t yet been dethroned as my favorite, and at this rate I’m not sure it ever will be. Star Granted.

Okay holy shit. This was the best burger I have ever had. Sorry, Maac’s. I got the«Do it Murph Style» and it was divine. All of the reviews before me said it best… perfect ratio of bun to burger, and the toppings were perfect. It didn’t fall apart although I thought it would :) Boyfriend got the OWP corned beef sandwich, which he insisted was delicious, but I thought he missed out not getting a burger ;) We also for the sloppy cheese fries which were obviously delicious. Diagnosis: deeply in love with this place. Next time: if I can force myself to get something different, I will get the Locals Only burger and try the acclaimed Russet fries. I literally can’t wait. Thank you, OSK! Warning: closes at 7 pm on Sunday and Monday! Would be heartbreaking to miss out on this.

Very impressed with everything about this place! From the food, to the vibe, and the service, everything was great and I went home happy. Typical counter service for a burger joint. You wait in line, order your food, and they bring it out. They have multiple beers on draft and a cooler of cans to pick from. Their menu is basic, but don’t judge until you try it. Burger was everything you could want in a bite: perfectly cooked, around warm soft bread, in between some american cheese. Classic done right. The real kicker is the interior. So fun and so many activities! They have a huge patio with pool, ping pong table, and basketball. Inside they have shuffle board and a pac man game system. You could be here for hours and never be bored! I loved this place and had a fun night here! Can’t wait to return!

Out of all the burger joints I’ve tried in my life, this place is pretty solid! Compared to them, I only select a few for my 4 or 5 star reviews, haha. Came here on a Saturday night looking for a good bite to eat, and that is what I got. I like the outside of the restaurant which nicely overlooks the Continental Ave bridge and Dallas’s skyline. I ended up getting the Murphy Burger and the Russet Fries. First bite of the Murphy Burger: juicy and tender, just how I like my burgers! Though, it was a little different tasting because of the secret sauce, but that really just made it! The Russet Fries honestly were just typical French fries to me. Sure they have the garlic salt, but, there were just your average French fries. Nothing really stood out to me about them. Meh. Overall, good to know a nice burger place is right by my place so if I ever craving a cheap burger, I know where to go(other than the local Sonic Drive-in).

Hands down, this is my favorite burger joint. OSK! When I first started eating here, I would order Locals Only with a fried egg. Now I hooked on Do-It Murph Style with an egg and you compliment your burger with their home cut fries… it’s perfect. I’m so glad they moved to a bigger location, I dig the décor. It was such a challenge to find seating at the old spot on Irving Blvd. You must try this burger joint, you’ll sure to add it to your list.

Same great food and service. New location. I was excited to finally make it over to the new trinity groves location. Much larger. A lot more indoor seating. They’re now open 7 days a week and in the evenings! The food is still amazing. The murph is still my favorite burger. The fries are delicious. They have lots of drink selections and even fun frozen drinks like Moscow mules and bourbon and cherry coke! It’s still gets pretty crowded pretty quick so I’d get there early if I were you. Can’t wait to go back!

There really is nothing else as satisfying as Off Site! All their burgers are made from angus beef and shoulders. Only the best for Dallas peeps, of course! the burger of choice was the locals only and rustic fries. Locals only comes with mustard and not mayo, I’m a mustard kind of girl. Off site has been one of the top five best burgers in Dallas for years and I agreed! they recently moved to a more hip area in trinity groves but the taste is still great! Walk through the freezers filled with bottled drinks, look at the menu, place your order at the registrer. They call your name and bring your food to you when ready. They’ve got alcohol and all the bottled drinks you could think of. The only thing I wish is that they would stop using styrofoam cups. They’re so bad for the environment and people in long term.

Now I know what all the hype is about! First of all, I absolutely love how they kept and made the Shepherd Fairy mural part of their décor. Nice work guys! As soon as you walk in you are hit with POP culture in your face! Then you walk towards a huge fridge with a awesome beer selection anywhere from schlitz to Four Corners. The fries are so daing delicious! Perfectly seasoning that pair perfect with their sandwiches. The sandwiches are really good too, the bread is delicious and a perfect amount of serving. I will definitely go back, maybe in the fall so I can hang out on their patio and play some games!
