Disco Mania Elite Event at Cosmo’s

Thanks, Nikki B., for an awesome event! Awesome disco music definitely set the tone for a funkedelic event. Props to all who brought out their ‘fros and disco gear! I loved all the the awesome costumes. Cool venue and delicious hot pizza, not to mention the sweet tea vodka… yum…

Yay Nikki! You have totally outdone yourself again! For a disco theme party, Cosmo’s really fits the shoe for this event. Love the blond Afro, the glittery outfits, the disco lights, and those 70’s music just makes anybody wanna dance.
The pizzas were awesome, once they are being set on the table, they are gone in less than a split second, lol.

We were at Cosmo’s for a Unilocal event. No, it is not a gay bar and I really doubt they serve a lot of Cosmos. I will say that it is a quirky kinda cool dive bar. We thought it would be fun place to back to with a group of friends. It isn’t swanky or new but it has a certain charm from decades past. It is a dive and those are some of my favorite bars.

Awesome event. Really chill. Good pizza! Free Lone Star and Sweet Tea Vodka. I mean what more could you ask for? I was extremely happy being there. Seen some old faces and met some new. OH… AND I copped my Unilocal lunchbox. SCORE! Dont hate. Congratulate! Is it just me or does Nikki makes it look effortless… Seriously, I need her secret

This was only my 2^nd Unilocal elite event and I have to say it was my favorite! The pizza was some gooey goodness, the drinks were endless (what Texan doesn’t love lone star beer?!) and the music was on key. Even though there was only a hand full of people who dressed up, I still met a lot of great Unilocalers and had a blast. Thanks for doing what you do Nikki and I’ll see you guys at the next shindig!

This was a really fun event, lots of Unilocalers in attendence and Cosmos hosted it really well. Ice cold Lone Stars and delicious pizza for free? Yes. Bartenders were great, quick and friendly and the setting was really laid back. Overall great event, thanks Nikki!

Great time and a wonderful venue. Can’t wait to check it out on a non-​Elite night.
I can’t comment on the food, I only had one small piece of pizza, but the piece I had was tasty.

Another fun-​filled evening setup & wonderfully executed by Ms. Nikki B. Cosmo’s was the perfect venue for a ‘70s theme disco party. I’m just sad I don’t own more disco-​appropriate clothing, otherwise I’d have been all over the costume contest. The old furniture & fixtures were enough to blast us back to a decade I never even got to experience. The crazy DJ & his tunes helped, of course.
And, um, how did I not know about the food here? Yummy! Between the tasty pizza & the heavily poured sweet tea vodka & lemonade concoction I was drinking, I was in heaven. I’ll definitely have to come back here for more pizza & stiff drinks in the future.

One of my favorite events thus far! Nikki looked like
(as always), and Cosmos rocked!
Having never been to Cosmos, I definitely want to give it another shot soon (when its hopefully a little quieter!) because its so awesomely cute AND the pizza was fucking delicious! I loved the light fixtures and vintage furniture. I think all bars/​restaurants should have couches and (to my cousins’ delight) mod chairs that spin.
The bartenders made me a very happy Samantha with the Sweet Tea Vodka/​lemonade concoctions. They were all attentive and quick.
The DJ was adorably cheesy (aren’t they all), and you can’t beat some solid 70’s tunes to get your groove on to. (My cousin could dance to the phonebook being read aloud, though.)
It was my cousins first Unilocal event, and I think all the Unilocalers she met made an awesome impression! Thanks Nikki and all!

It was an AWESOME event for a «virgin»! What a way to be introduced to the Elites of Unilocal!I really enjoyed the atmosphere, It’s a great place for friends to meet and have a few drinks. It was great to finally get to meet some of you Elites!
The pizza was good and the drinks were reasonably priced. (wink-​wink).
I just wish more people could have dressed up for the «‘70s Show»

Cosmo’s is freaking awesome. I love it. The mish-​mash seating and retro décor are fun. Megan M and Leigh P say that the jukebox is awesome work of machinery with everything you want to hear and things you’ve never heard, but will love. Basically, it has it all. No jukebox fun was had on this night– but that’s ok, because we had a live dj!
I’m not a huge fan of tea stuff, so I stuck with the Lonestars which were c-​c-​c-​cold and a great match for the pizza. For pizza– I have no idea what varieties I sampled. It was hard to tell, but they were good! Also, many thanks to Cosmo’s for keeping a steady supply of food. Instead of offering such small amounts that we flock on it like fat ugly pigeons swarming on a piece of trash.
Though I like that there was plenty of seating to eat at (instead of trying to balance a drink, plate, and still have a hand to put food to mouth) — I thought the tables made circulating around the room a bit difficult. Sad I had to leave before the costume contest. I’m also sad to not have had a costume. Not for lack of trying– I went to «We are 1976» (review to come) — that was the furthest thing from helpful, and Garland Thrift– but nothing there was 70s– mostly 60s and 80s…

Great locale for an event-​and the 70 theme fit right in with the venue! I really want to go back and see what Cosmos is like on a regular non-​Elite night-​it looked like my kind of place.
The bartenders were very nice and mixed a nice drink (who knew I liked sweet tea vodka?)and I never waited long for a refill.
The pizzas, you ask? I got a piece of the pepperoni and thought «not bad-​pretty tasty.» Next I had a piece of the four cheese and thought «Damn-​this is some great pizza.» Finally tried the third pizza and thought «Bacon, OMG bacon, mmmmm, chew, chew, snarl.»
The Dj was spinning some righteous 70’s tunes (Thanks forgetting to Sugarhill Gang before I had to leave!) and he was working with just the right amount of cheese factor.
All in all another fantastic event-​definite props Nikki-you’ve outdone yourself yet again!

Having an Elite event at Cosmo’s leads me to believe that either Nikki has been spying on my dreams again or Santa finally got around to my Christmas list.
Seriously, this is my all-​time favorite hangout and having it full of afro-​ed Unilocalers was beyond amazing. Watching Jackson sweat his ass off in the kitchen to bring out an endless supply of pizzas made me tear up a bit, the bar staff brought their A-​game to keep the drinks flowing, the DJ kicked the 70s ass into the next decade and Nikki B. and Kevin N. were the hosts who reigned above it all.
The only thing that could have possibly made the night any more amazing would be to not have to work the next day so I could blow the roof off the joint the way Cosmo’s deserved. I guess Santa missed item #2 on my list.

How fun was this event! Food and staff were wonderful. Just sorry my Unilocalers weren’t so engaged in the silly fun theme of it all!
