Office Hours @ The Pearl Cup

I think it’s funny that none of the four of us who reviewed this CMYE so far had coffee!!! I am not a coffee drinker either, so I got a delicious strawberry hibiscus tea in a mug so large it lasted me like an hour and a half! I still don’t get why Jennifer R. got a teapot and I didn’t though. Pout.
Pearl Cup is a cool place and hanging out with Unilocalers made it all the cooler! Next time I’m so getting that marshmallow nutella panini!!! Thanks Nikki for setting this up and teasing us with juicy tidbits about upcoming events!!!

I’m definitely a new fan of The Pearl Cup. It’s a pretty casual-​laid-​back-​small-​coffee-​bar. I’m not one to hit up coffee bars in the evening, so I wanted to get a drink w/​o caffeine. The nice lady at the counter recommended a Mexican hot chocolate. Mmmm, it was good. The spices reminded me of a chai-​tea but instead of tea, it was chocolaty goodness. They put a shot of decaf-​espresso in it for me. Didn’t know you could get decaf-​espresso, but rock on! I can definitely see myself returning to Pearl Cup and trying more things on the menu!
It was really great seeing fellow Unilocalers that I have come to love and adore, and chatting with everyone for a couple of hours. Good times. Good times…

I was horribly late to this outing because there were 2 or 3 wrecks on 75, so I had to take the crowded service road most of the way down to Henderson. I was already in quite a mood when I realized that parking would be a challenge for The Pearl Cup. I was lucky to find a space behind the building.
My mood perked up after visiting with my fellow Unilocalers! I had the ‘Divine’ tea, which the wonderful folks at TPC said was a favorite among red wine fans! This wino has found a new favorite tea!
This event was right up my alley! I love to chat with friends at intimate, locally owned coffee shops. This was the perfect place and a terrific blend of folks to share holiday conversation with! Everyone in attendance is on my ‘friend’ list, so it was great to have some real life face time. It was a golden opportunity to really get to know my fellow Unilocalers since it was a table sized group where everyone could easily hear each other.
Thanks for organizing this event Nikki! I had a wonderful time!
