Please do not consider this a representation of Texas BBQ. Worst BBQ I believe I have eaten. Stick with a sandwich and fries. Don’t waste your money on anything else. The slaw and beans were as bad as the BBQ.

Hubby had the half chicken plate and two sides. His plate was huge, so I just got the veggie plate(3 sides) and secretly plotted to steal some of his chicken. Plan was a success. The fried okra was on point. Baked potato casserole is delish. Jalapeño beans were meh. Good– not amazing. Sweet tea just like I like it. Only downside was they don’t have ice cream, which the Unilocal offer was free ice cream. Boo hiss. Overall much better than most airport food with a decent price point.

Not a great place for breakfast. The worst egg sandwich I ever had. Scrambled egg on two greasy slices of white bread. How hard is it to toast the bread.

This review is for the airport location. They had a decent amount of people on staff. it was one of the few choices in that area in the airport. I havent lived in texas in 20 years and I know the locals know better than to get bbq from a spot like this in the airport. I just needed to eat something. It was ok but exciting enough to recommend to someone else. I got brisket and ham. The brisket was good cuts but not much flavor. The sauce is ok and made it more edible. The ham was blah. I got bbq beans the green beans looked horrible.

Dickey’s raises the bar for airport dining experiences. The first question the counter help asked was if I wanted my meal to go. Service is quite fast and they package to-go meals for quick layovers. I dined in on this occasion. Like other Dickey’s, the food is pretty solid. I had pulled pork with a side of green beans and potato casserole. Unlike other Dickey’s, THEYSELLBEER! The prices are slightly higher than strip mall locations, but significantly lower than standard airport dining establishments. There were electrical outlets along the wall, enough space to shift your carry on luggage through the tables, and a TV to catch up on the news. What a great place for a filling lunch!

For food at an airport this place rocks. I just wanted a sandwich but something a little larger that what was on the menu. And I just wanted it plain so I could really taste the barbecue. So, I ordered a half pound of brisket(I hadn’t eaten lunch that day), I think they just threw in the bun. I asked for a little sauce. With a drink it came to $ 11 and some cents. It was so good. Can’t beat it. I also noticed that people’s meat combo plates looked really good. It was right next to my gate too. SCORE!

I went to the one at C6. I tried the three meat meal and loved the ribs and spicy sausage. The brisket is a bit dry, but still ok. Not a cheap meal, but BBQ at airport — what more can you ask?

Ok– they have redeemed themselves. I had a bad experience last time and was shocked, as most Dickeys have been very good. Greasy but good. this time I went with the pulled pork and was very happy. It melted in my mouth, every savory bite. I really liked having the sauce on the side so I did not have to have it smothered on the meat… Airport prices are high every where you go, this was no exception. It was a good 30% higher than regular venues but when your a captive audience you have to pay the piper.

First and foremost, it’s located in Terminal E. I’ll be honest, I had no idea that Dickey’s was such a Texas staple and having been to Texas several times, totally missed it. — DECENTRIBS — Now, the ribs were just decent in my opinion. The meat was average flavor and nothing special. The fact that they were wrapped in plastic before being served was a bit odd and the guy serving them had a bit of that, «I don’t want to be here» attitude. — OUTOFBEANS — they managed to run out of baked beans, which was a bit of a disappointment. I was looking forward to trying them based on other reviews. — KRAFTRESEMBLINGMACANDCHEESE — the cheese sauce and macaroni tasted just like it came out of a pack of Kraft macaroni. Tasted very artificial and just not tasty. I’d say this is a decent spot for an airport and would consider returning if I couldn’t eat in a different terminal. However, it’s nothing to brag about.

Alright, if you ever have a taste for barbecue, and you’re anywhere near Terminal E at DFW, then you might wanna check out Dickies Barbecue Pit. If you can manage to overlook the slightly rude leaning Horn of Africa looking proprietors, then I’d say you’ll be pleasantly surprised with this fast food airport restaurant. I tried their beef brisket, and how tender, and tasty it was, but the BBQ beans is what really got me. I haven’t had that flavor of beans since my childhood, so A+++. Just don’t forget your wallet at home though, because that’s where you’ll no doubt find out who is the ‘Dicker’, and who is the ‘Dickie’. They really know how to live up to their name on this one. $ 18.00FORONEPLATEOFBBQ? WTF! Um Huh, everything just has to be bigger in Texas. Including the price of some damn bbq, you’d think should be served on fine China, instead of being served on nothing fancier than a styrofoam plate and plastic knives, and forks. Oh well… In the end, the prices may all but be forgiven perhaps, In exchange for their good quality, great taste, and hopefully next time, more friendlier servers.

Love Dickie’s BBQ @ Love Airport! Plane delay around 7pm is the perfect excuse to grab a bite to eat at Dickie’s. I wanted beef ribs but they were out. Pulled pork? Out. Ham? Out. Turkey? Out. All they had was polish sausage and brisket. No problem… this Kansas girl wants her brisket chopped and sweet sauced! Mac and cheese and baked potato casserole. A roll, some pickles and this girl is happy! $ 10.25 plus $ 2.50 for a big yellow cup. Probably one of the best recognized cups anywhere. Was walking down the hall in my office building and a stranger asked me if there was a Dickie’s nearby just because he saw my yellow cup. :) Wish I was going back to Love Field but it looks like it might be a long while. Gotta go. Gotta find me another Dickie’s bbq…

I’ve sampled a lot of BBQ in Texas and beyond. My chicken dinner plate went downhill the moment I cracked the top of my Luke warm pale ale This wa the boniest chicken I’ve ever gotten into. Overcooked Lima beans and corn It shouldn’t be that hard to pull off a decent BBQ

For airport food, this BBQ is pretty good and is a pretty good price, considering the high prices at airports. But overall, compared to other BBQ places, Dickeys is a little too oily, a little too fatty and doesn’t compare with other true Texas restaurants in terms of flavor. Still, if you’re looking for BBQ at the airport, this place is pretty good. I usually get the 2 meat plate, brisket and pulled pork. For sides I recommend the green beans and Mac n cheese. Mac N Cheese is really good actually!

I was so excited when I saw dickeys restaurant in the airport as I’ve visited one in the Dallas Texas area, so I was in hopes that this would be the same, well to my dismay it wasn’t as great as the one that I had outside of the airport although the meet was pretty good and little dry, you really don’t get what you pay for the airport now if this was the Dickeys outside of the airport I’m sure I would’ve got my moneys worth. Then again what can you expect it is in the airport so overall it was alright.

I’ll round up. I think this place is 2.5 stars. It’s almost there, but just… not. Last year around this time, I attended a leadership conference in Dallas. Did the same this year. Ate here last year, ate here this year. There’s just not much to choose from in Terminal E. Anyways, got here and there was no line, yay! Ordered the beef brisket with a side of fried okra, pickles, and peach cobbler for dessert. The sauce was the saving grace because the brisket was dry and bland. There wasn’t enough sauce, I wasn’t able to finish it. The fried okra was good, I always enjoy okra in any non-slimy format. The peach cobbler I don’t think was 100% done because it tasted like I was eating raw dough. Meh. Most of the sides have bacon only a few do not. So, while I’ve had better food at other airports(and bbq of course), it’s decent enough for airport food and will keep you full for a while; even if you don’t finish it all.

Great tasting beef brisket sandwich lunch. Staff is friendly. The menu is balance into sandwiches, plates, side orders. They serve beer & sodas, water. When I checked in Unilocal they gave me a «free ice cream» offer that they don’t have. Figure that out. 2÷24÷14

Half a pound of brisket to go. To go on the plane! MMMMM so moist. Advice: get the BBQ sauce on the side. Mine drowned.
