Incredibly slow service!!! I would NOT recommend this place if you have a close connection. My husband and I ate lunch here and it took over an hour. It took at least 35 minutes just to get our food(just nachos and an order of tacos), and then once the food arrived they included an item on my nachos I had specifically requested it not be. The only modification we made for the entire order. The restaurant was not at all crowded, lots of staff standing around so not sure at all how to explain such bad service.

Maybe I’m missing something but this place was super mediocre… I got the basil & avocado quesadilla and it tasted a bit funky which is totally odd because I love both avocados and basil! Anyways, it was very over priced(always to be expected in an airport) but the margaritas are WORTHIT! Super strong

The food and service was both horrible. The bartender/waiter was more concerned about getting a lady’s phone number then doing his job.

Chicken nachos are legit. Solid top shelf margarita. Fast service. I was a little skeptical but glad I made the choice to eat here

Typical Applebee’s, preprepared stuff. American Airlines needs to take a hard look at the horrendous dining options in DFW, and ask themselves why one would not fly Delta through one of the old Northwest hubs to experience a reasonable meal while flying(tolerable hubs is an NWA holdover). Food can be a good way of coping with deep, soulful pain, and that is why it the availability of good food is so welcome in today’s excruciating flying experience.

Our flight was delayed = «let’s go grab a drink and some food!» Happily surprised with this airport restaurant! Our waiter was Andy, who was awesome! He recommended the Blue Mesa Top Shelf margarita, which was fantastic and worth the extra bucks. We also purchased the Bloody Mary(my favorite) — delicious! The guacamole was very yummy– see my photo– and the salsa was great too. The employees had to deal with a lot of cancelled flights and handled it very well. Thank you to the staff and Andy for making out layover bearable!

I had dinner here for the first time today. The menu had a variety of health options. I had the spa chicken and spinach enchiladas with fresh asparagus and grilled sweet potato. It was really good. The service was good, and the food arrived quickly. I also ordered the tri color chips with salsa as an appetizer. The chips were good but a little oily. The salsa was kinda bland. I didn’t sample any of the adult beverages but the ice tea was good, kinda fruity. For an airport bar/restaurant I think it is definitely way above average.

Choosing a meal at an airport always poses a risk. You really never know what you’re going to get. Well, let me direct you to Mesa. Your experience will not disappoint. We began with the nachos, chicken and steak, and found a most delightful and flavorful delight. Make sure you try the jalapeño relish-just the right blend of sweet and spicy. The Adobe pie, a signature dish it appears, is a unique take on the tamale. Explore the menu, as this is not your typical airport fare.

Great place to eat if you’re hungry at DFW. Steak burrito was on point!!! I know where I’m going when I’m at DFW.

Ordered soup and salad. Salad was good but the Tortilla soup is clearly just Campbell’s vegetable soup without the noodles and some chicken and cheese thrown in. Bloody Mary was weak but I guess that’s expected at an airport bar. Service was good.

I love this place,(we were in security hell {Spirit airlines} took 45 minutes to get thru) if you need to eat & your plane is boarding they can make 5 — 8 dishes in 3 minutes! REALLY! I wanted a margarita too but can’t take that on board. We get to gate, plane is delayed so we went back for ritas. Skinny Rita for me, very tasty. My SO says his tacos were fantastic & my Mexican salad was good. We ordered the chips; yummy, light, & crisp. The main menu had great options but we had ordered from the 3 minutes menu selections. I’m not complaining, tasty food, quick service, decent prices, at the airport! I really appreciate Blue Mesa! P. S. Terminal E get it together, please hire more TSA agents.

For an airport bar, this place is about as good as it gets… Rich was our bartender, immediately ascertained our time constraints(how refreshing that someone at an airport bar would be concerned with that) and got down to the business of taking care of us… Rich made great suggestions on drinks, I got adventurous with a pomegranate margarita and my girlfriend got the mango habanero … drinks were both good, mine was a little sweet so I switched to the top shelf for the second round and was definitely not disappointed… getting down to the food, the guacamole app is ENORMOUS and delicious, you can’t go wrong… tasted pretty fresh as best as I can tell. girlfriend and I split a burrito and they had no problem making it vegan for us, just omitting the cheese and meat it was still really good and substantial… If you’re stuck in terminal E in DFW, this is the spot to go eat…

When I sat down, the table was dirty. I asked for them to wipe it. They offered me three other seats. I said no, I want this bench for my back. Well what about the bar? No. High seats hurt my back. Could you please just wipe the table? This conversation was so ridiculous that the table next to me felt it necessary to comment that they couldn’t believe how many times I had to ask the staff to wipe the table! Then I ordered food and it was at best,… meh. I ordered ultimate fajitas. The meat was overcooked and rubbery. You could infer that ultimate would mean it includes some sort of red salsa. You would be mistaken. I got a tablespoon of guac, a tablespoon of some sort of green pineapple salsa, and two lettuce leaves. For«ultimate» fajitas. Seriously? The only plus was the raspberry paloma cocktail.

For airport food, I thought it was pretty good. If this was outside of an airport it would probably get three stars. Service was prompt and food was tasty. Price was expensive.

Arrived super early for my flight at DFW Terminal E(US Airways). Blue Mesa seems like a nice choice. There is booth seating, TVs over the bar, nice atmosphere. There was no wait for table seating. The server was very nice and friendly. I wanted a classic margarita. I was told it came ‘blue’. So I opted for the raspberry Paloma. It sounded refreshing, I gave it a try. It was very sour and seedy. The server asked how it was. I told her I didn’t care for it and asked if I’d like to try something different. Wow! So I said I’d try the blue margarita. It was ok. Much better than the Raspberry Paloma Margarita. I also had chips and salsa. Assortment of different types if chips with medium and spicy salsa. The Mesa Sampler was plenty for me. Two pieces of Quesadilla, two pieces of and four pieces if nachos. It was yummy. I was able to hangout till near my flight time without being hassled. Good location, food, and service.

The place is clean and modern food is presented well .my wife had the adobe pie and It was great almost like a big tamale but more of a complex taste than a traditional tamale… only complaint is drinks are ridiculous $ 12.50 for a margarita. I know airports are pricey but a. margarita more than both of our meals that a rip off

My Moscow Mule was perfect(aside from being a bit pricey for the size). My food was just so-so. I ordered tacos — one steak(the worst), one barbacoa(the best), one shrimp(didn’t like the slaw it came with). The rice and beans were just ok, beans were a spicy black bean, the rice was(ginger?) flavored but lackluster. I liked the sweet corn pudding, but there was only a tablespoon of it. I would either just get barbacoa next time or try something completely different, with a Moscow mule. Given that dining options at E-terminal are pretty sad overall(if TGIF is your best option, that’s saying something) I’ll probably come here again.

Excellent service, friendly and fast. Everyone was awesome. The food was bland. The rice was more flavorful than the street tacos with steak. And«steak» was extremely greasy ground beef. Nice bar, decent selection.

Pretty good for airport food. Good guac and tacos, very fresh, good selection for beer and IPAs on tap! Go for the street tacos!
