Super cute non profit shop in Deep Ellum that sells hand made beautiful jewelry, leather bags, scarfs, some clothing and shoes that help women in Uganda who make their wares meet the basic needs of their families. Lots of great Christmas gifts here that go to great cause!

We stopped by Akola on our visit to Deep Ellum and we were amazed. Gorgeous wearable works of art that support women in Uganda by providing them with a profession — so cool! The boutique is beautiful and the staff were kind and helpful. Unlike most of the jewelry that I’ve seen from developing countries, these pieces were actually very fashionable. There are beautiful pieces that fit every budget. The perfect Christmas gift for the ladies in your life or for yourself. I highly recommend Akola!
