Born and raised in the Cajun country of South Louisiana, Chef Kern soaked up the regions rich culinary traditions from an early age, finishing up his training in New Orleans & Baton Rouge. Since 1988, Chef Kern has been creating memorable, unique and creatively catered events for a wide variety of tastes — from down home rustic to elegant, sit down gourmet. Professionally, Chef Kern is driven by the ever changing culinary challenges of the hospitality industry. He truly loves the art of creating culinary surprise and looks forward each day to refining the fresh new taste of tomorrow.

Chef Kern was a last minute replacement for our event. We hosted a reception for our key sponsors and local officials. I’m wondering how our experience could have been any better. The food was great, but the presentation and delivery was also excellent. They cooked on-​site, so it was fresh.
Their food is not only great, but also all natural. I would recommend Chef Kern for any engagement that needed catering.

Chef Kern’s has catered 1 event for us, and serveral for friends. Terrific food … healthy, above just tasty … it’s fabulous. The staff is wonderful! They arrive and deliever on time, and set up on time with a smile. You can’t expect better than all of that! Too tired after work to cook — well, they have food to go. Their gumbo is to die for.
It’s a tiny bit tough to find on 306, but they have their truck out front of the strip mall. Their place is in the building behind the front building.

Chef Kern and his staff catered our daughter’s wedding this past weekend in the remote town of Gay, Georgia. They arrived when they said they would and got to work setting up and preparing all the last minute goodies. Without a doubt, the food was the best we have had anywhere! And I mean it!
I personally loved the squash sauté and mashed potatoes. And of course his Caesar salad was fabulous! My husband’s personal favorite was the brisket and the buttermilk yeast rolls. He said, «this brisket is the best I have ever had!» «These rolls are deadly!» Oh! I almost forgot the gravy! Yummy!
Everyone raved about the food!
Denise and staff are first class! And Chef Kern is so personable. We would use them again given the opportunity. Too bad they are not closer to Marietta!

Chef Kern’s is both a catering company and a to-​go food restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and the quality is similar to that you would get in an upscale restaurant. Chef Kern and his family run the establishment and are extremely friendly. I have been there with my son on three occasions and they remember us and always make friendly conversation. Also, my son loves their food, which is a big deal for us since he is a picky eater! My favorite dishes from Chef Kern’s are the jambalaya, brisket, lentil soup, black eyed peas, and of course the delicious pralines!
