Thx 2 Unilocal,discovered this gem. Had to replace a burned out daytime driving lamp bulb but to the awkwardness of the location in the headlight assembly, I resigned to having an experienced know how mechanic. Dealer wanted $ 59 !!! (damn) which wasn’t surprising. It just happened I was in the CC locale and remembered XJack. Drove in then greeted by a cheerful Robert. After explaining & showing the difficult lamp assembly, I thought he was going to ask his mechanics to take care of it — no, Robert immediately went about digging deep & pulled out the defective bulb — was I wowed. I had the pkg of bulbs so I was pretty excited to hand him a new one which he reinstalled in the assembly, tested, done! 10 min tops from driving in to leaving. Guess what, he asked $ 10 …I gave him $ 15. Super satisfied. Thanks Robert

There is nothing more valuable than having a trusted mechanic… Well possibly a trusted Doctor but very close. I have been taking my two cars to Robert for well over 4 years now. He knows his stuff and is very reasonable. I now recommend him to all of my friends and co-​workers. No car job is too big or small for this one man team to deal with. I highly recommend giving his X-​Jacks shop a try!

Robert is a great and honest mechanic. I had some engine trouble on a thanksgiving trip to LA. Went to a tire place and they refereed me to his shop. He told me what was wrong and made a quick fair priced repair. Great guy to work with. I do recommend!

I’ve been going to Robert for years now, first for my Volkswagen GTI, then for a Subaru Outback and now for my wife’s Volvo. He has always been as fair and straight up as possible, and I would recommend him to anyone.
When I brought my GTI in with a problem with the electric windows, he thought to mention that I could save about $ 1000 by just installing crank windows. At the time, this was a huge relief and not something other mechanics would think to suggest.
I trust him completely.

Took my 2004 CRV to Robert for some repair work. His quote on service was very fast and honest. He did the work in the time promised and so far, the car is running smoothly. He offers a warranty with the service which means he stands by his work. His office was very clean, which is a good sign when going to a repair shop. All in all, a great experience — and the price was much better than Honda’s price.

On 7.31.12 I was having an issue with my car and, I called Davis Bros. Tires (who I also, highly recommend) they referred me to Robert «Bob» Radek & promised me that I would like his work. They were right, he fixed my car & alerted me of a problem he thought would occur in the near future. Robert was correct in his evaluation my alternator was going bad & he recommended I should change it. I took his advice & wanted him to replace it but, he couldn’t due to the fact he was already booked.
He booked me the next day & came in early to fix my car. Ladies & Gentlemen did you hear me? A Mechanic came in early to fix my car! While I was there he offered me a bottle of water, the fan & TV with the remote in his office because it was so hot & humid. Even while I was there a neighbor came & asked Robert for a jump. Robert stopped, grabbed his battery jumper, showed his neighbor how to use it & went back to work.
I started this Unilocal profile to let you know that there is a honest, upstanding, great mechanic out here and his name is Robert R. As long as I have a car and I live in this city he will be my auto repair man.
