Established in 1957.

Since the founding of Los Angeles Colon and Rectal Surgical Associates, our guiding philosophy has been, and will always be to provide our patients with focused diagnostic efforts and compassionate medical and surgical treatment, while adhering to the highest principles in the art and science of medicine.

The Los Angeles colorectal surgeons (formerly known as proctologists) specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases that affect the rectum, anus, colon, and pelvic floor (proctology).

Stephen Y.

Business Owner

I’m a Board Certified, fellowship trained colorectal surgeon in Beverly Hills. From Minnesota, I attended Loma Linda University Medical School, with my surgical training at Providence Hospital in Southfield MI, and colorectal fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit MI.

I train future colorectal and general surgeons as an attending surgeon in the colorectal surgery fellowship and general surgery residency at Cedars-​Sinai Medical Center. I’m also a member of Cedars’ Colorectal Cancer Center of Excellence, a multidisciplinary oncology team. I have publications in peer reviewed journals including Clinics in Colon and Rectal Surgery, American Surgeon, Contemporary Surgery, and Surgical Rounds and have presented at national and international meetings such as the Am College of Surgeons, Int College of Surgeons, Int Digest Society, and the Int Hepato Biliary Pancreatic Association.

My utmost priority is compassionate and attentive patient care at the highest standards of excellence.
