Derek Jones – State Farm Insurance Agent

I had my auto insurance with Derek and state farm and my experience in total was below average.
It started of great with an agent of Derek’s who is no longer with the company. They gave me arguably the best rate of any insurance company around. As months passed by, my rates didnt decrease inspite of having the «loyalty» bonus. Every 6-​months it was more/​less the same and they didnt keep up their word of reducing the price after I reach a certain age. It got so bad at the end where they increased the price greatly citing the removal of a discount which I can no longer have and didnt even bother trying to keep me on board.
It was very unprofessionally handled at the end and I felt I wasted my time there with them where instead I could have built my connections/​loyalty elsewhere.
I would suggest you look elsewhere.

I talked with Beatriz initially about switching my policy from Chicago to here, and she was very responsive and helpful.
Then came in to meet with the agent, Derek, and he spent an hour with me helping me understand which «policy levers» I could pull (i.e. higher deductible in exchange for lower premiums) and walked me through the trade-​offs and various combinations. So helpful, so patient, and a great guy all around. Thanks, Derek! I feel like my car and home are in good hands.

I just wanted to say that Connie at State Farm is amazing!!! I needed her help to get extra coverage for our home insurance and she got everything done in one day! She even stayed at work extra to get the job done which was very impressive. I was a happy AAA customer, but switched over because Scott Hammond and his wonderful staff were phenomenal about following up with me and ensuring me the best rates possible. At the annual point of my renewal with AAA, I called State Farm for a quote to see if I could get a better deal. After two rounds of apples-​to-​apples comparisons, Scott was able to get me a much lower rate, plus added renter’s insurance at ~$ 10/​month. When I went in to switch, Scott’s staff was incredibly welcoming and took care of all my paper work in less than half an hour. Even when needing to make modifications to my insurance plan, Scott followed up with me within 24 hours or often within the same day. I highly recommend this particular agent, and am referring my roommate to them as well. I feel confident that State Farm will keep me insured and protected through any crisis because there is a great staff behind me!

Agent Scott is efficient, awesome and informative. Glad I decided to go in and get insurance with them.

Derek Jones State Farm office is great. Staff is amazing. Scott is great! He really made me and my boyfriend State Farm fan’s, he answered all 100 of our questions and follows up with me, and I feel very safe and secure with the coverage I have. I definitely feel like I have a good relationship with Scott being my State Farm agent, which makes all the difference in the world!

Terrible support — don’t follow up on issues and can’t even find my account when I email them.

Derek and his team have treated me with top quality professionalism and customer service for the past three years. They have provided me with excellent advice, detailed consultation when needed and gone above and beyond to make sure I have all the necessary details to make an informed decision when weighing my options.
Furthermore, they are always immediately available should I need to speak with them on the phone or in person. I cannot give them enough credit in both knowing their business and conducting their affairs with sincere, genuine care for the people they represent.
If you want professionalism and personal attention rolled into one, I cannot recommend anyone above Derek’s office.
