Cartech has been the only honest and reasonably priced mechanic I’ve found in LA, and after my last experience, I’ll be a regular there. A while ago I had my smog checked by the neighboring shop, and they offered to look at my 2000 Honda CRV for free and quote me on a new pair of wheel bearings and a brake pad replacement. They offered to drive me where I needed to be and pick me up when they were done checking the car out.
I ended up having them do the work after negotiating a very reasonable cost, and they gave me a 10% discount on top of that for being a first time customer. Three months later (and a few days after my warranty!), my car was making a squeaking sound and I brought it in to them. They fixed it in about an hour, for free.
These guys are awesome, and they really work to make their business honest and fair– definitely would recommend them to anyone who needs to get their car checked out.

Great service from this place! Called in for an oil change, was offered open and honest advice! Drove out with oil change, replaced rear light, and fixed wing mirror for only 35 $…yaaay! As a woman i generally avoid servicing my car because i have been ripped off in the past, but not here. Courteous and professional service at a great price. Will use again and would recommend :)

Hey Guys listen up – THIS PLACE IS LEGIT!
Moz and the guys were not only timely and courteous; but they were extremely helpful with what my older model Satrun needed. Took it in for a check up and «OH BOY — this ion needed some love– Transmission flush to breaks to plugs and filters fluids all around. They took the time to explain what options I had to help solve the issues the car was having and were willing to work with me a little on the price. This day and age that is a true blessing.

If you want grade A service. Go into cartech and ask for Moz. I brought my bmw in and Moz took such good care of me. He sent me photos of parts that needed to be fixed or changed. He thoroughly explained what each part does that needs changing and how it will effect my car and how it drives. I really appreciate the fact that he enlightened me on the mechanics of a car and I definitely know more than I did before! Finding a good mechanic that you can trust is an extremely hard thing to do now days. And I’m glad to say my search is finally over!

Super fast and great service. Everyone was very nice, offered me water and did not indulge in overpricing for every little thing. My car had a flush done, an oil change and brake pads replaced all with the best price around! It’s running very smooth like a brand new civic! Moz was the guy that helped me out so ask for him and he will hook you up!

I came in for a smog check at the business next door and got to chatting with Moz, not realizing they were two separate businesses. He asked if there was any service my car needed and I asked him to check my battery since I know it’s been in need of replacement for a while.
Once my smog was done, he jumped right on it and sure enough stated that it needed to be replaced. Said he would give me a good deal, just had to check they had the size in stock and then he would give me a price.
I started to get worried because his guy came along and started unhooking the battery, cleaning the terminals, and installing the new battery. Figured I got forced into it since they already did the work and I had no idea what sorta cost I was looking at. Within about 15 minutes, the work was done and it was time to talk money.
Without saying anything, Moz gave me a pretty reasonable price (about what AAA would’ve charged me) even though he could’ve definitely tried to take advantage and make me fight for it.
Overall, he was a stand up guy. Watching him, he was definitely involved in the work of every single vehicle he had, and seemed extremely on top of communication with all his clients. If/​when my car needs additional services, I’ll be coming back to Moz

I had intended to come for a smog check but my engine light decided to turn on. I already had a decent car guy in the area but Moz offered a price that beat my guy and I couldn’t refuse his «I’m not going to screw you over with extra charges» attitude. He was straight up and honest which made me trust in him. My boyfriend dropped it off tuesday morning and I was able to pick it up by the end of the same day. Awesome! Moz and his team were friendly, funny and efficient and I will definitely be going back.

My wife’s car got a flat and the tire was toast. I called Cartech and spoke with Moz and he ordered the replacement tire and took care of it right away. We felt so good with their service, that while the car was there, we had them replace the air filter and change the oil. He also gave us some additional advice about the car which we really appreciated.
Another big advantage is the Cartech is, conveniently just down the street from us, but our experience was do good, I would go out of my way to bring it there.
My car is due for a service maintenance and you can bet that I’ll be taking it there soon.

I found Cartech on Groupon and decided to have them take care of my new to me charger. Moz helped me out when I got there. They took my car right in, I took a walk, and when I got back about an hour later they were finishing up with the safety inspection. Moz took me right into the Garage, and showed exactly what was needed for my car. I am going back to get my brakes resurfaced tomorow, at, from what I can tell online, about half what the average job costs anywhere else. Moz and the guys there at Cartech are friendly, personable, and made me feel welcome right from the start. I will definitely be going back if I ever need to have anything done to my car.

They were so friendly and fast service. I would definitely recommend their service i got my car checked less than an hour and fivestar for them keep it guys.

I brought my car almost broken and they did the best job ever, it’s running like a baby. Price wise is the best in the market, no doubt.

Called Moz at the last minute on a Saturday and he made the effort to get me tire prices and a quote for a great package deal for Monday morning. I didn’t even have to postpone my meeting with the boss because they drove me to the office.

When moving to LA I was skeptical about leaving my regular mechanic back home because I know nothing about cars and mechanics are not so trustworthy. Well, I am so glad I was recommend to Moz at Car tech!
I came in during the morning for what I thought was the for new brakes, but after test driving it the guys told me that my wheel bearing was destroyed, my wheel could have fell off at any moment! Also after my car died, they discovered that my car battery was 5 years old and batteries are only supposed to be used for 3 years. While waiting the friendly staff took care of me, even offering me a blanket to use while I napped on the couch. They got me in and out and gave me a very reasonable price for all the work I needed done and also offered me a discount. I will surely be coming back to them as a regular customer for ALL of my car service needs.
Moz and his crew are the best and definitely the most trustworthy you’ll find in LA!

I got my old Lexus here serviced. Pretty affordable and family oriented staff. They offered me a ride to work and pick up service after I got off at 5pm.

Had our Prius fixed here. Brake pad changed, engine serviced, and water pump changed.
A much better choice rather than going to the dealer. Cheap price for great job.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Explained what was wrong with my car and gave me good advice about the kind of parts to buy. I had my oil, filters, break pads, spark plugs and tires changed here (I have an old car). They did a quick and thorough job. Did not add unnecessary servicing to charge me more.
They’ve got themselves a regular customer in me now.

My car battery died after a 7-​year affair and I was stuck at home wondering what I would do, since I was no longer a AAA member. I checked Unilocal,read the reviews, and called Powertech at 8am. They told me they would call me back within 30 minutes and when they did, they got my address and gave me the price for the battery and labor was only $ 20. They came to my house and left me 12 minutes later with a new battery.
I won’t lie, the sound of my car finally working was sweet to my ears after being stranded at home for a day :)

This place is very shady. I would not go here if I were you.
Took my car in for an oil change and told it would be done in an hour. We get back and the car is still up in the air. The claimed that we needed new brake pads. There was still 25% left on the brake pads and the car was only two years old.
We decided to get the brakes installed so they told us it would take another hour. So we’re just walking around the area waiting for services to get done a SECOND time. We get back and they haven’t even started on the car yet!!! They said they were still waiting for the parts. If we had known that we would not have had the brakes changed!
We ended up waiting around for about five hours total. On top of that when we drove off the car’s check engine light came off and it said engine oil low. WTF.
We took the car back to Powertech. The technician checked the oil level in the car and it was nonexistent. Empty! There was no oil on the dipstick. They did not add oil to the car after they changed it. They poured 3+ bottles of oil into the car. They lied saying there was oil in the car and that sometimes cars needed more. If there was already oil in the car, you would NOT have been able to pour another 3+ bottles into it. An oil change was NOT performed correctly.
On top of that they mischarged us so I demanded a refund. The owner was not there so we had to wait for him to get back in order to get our money back.
This place is horrible. I will never come back.
The owner told me I shouldn’t be mad since they were able to fix the «engine oil» problem, but I told him that wasn’t the point. What if I had an older car that didn’t notify me what was wrong. I would have been driving around with no oil in my car until it completely broke down, overheated and broke engine! What if it happened to you!
