Stayed here recently and just loved it! The rooms are nice and spacious and the owners are sweet and very accommodating. My friend and I are vegans and they went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. Would recommend it!

Great Bed and Breakfast! The house was very nice and had lot of history. Beautiful yard and the location was superb within walking distance to historic Culpeper. Breakfast was amazing with homemade croissants, fresh fruit, and Sausage and Egg Frittata.

Absolutely fabulous place. Antebellum house with a wonderful feel to it. The owner Steve, makes you feel right at home. I don’t want this place to get too popular, because I want to stay here again. :) The breakfast is fabulous. Within walking distance of all the downtown restaurants and shops. A truly touch of southern elegance and small town feel. We will be back.

Really loved our stay here. Very close to downtown and inviting, not stuffy or pretentious. Our bed was so comfortable, our room was lovely and the house itself is well-decorated. Steven was incredibly nice and even drew a little running route for us to take in the morning, then had wonderful hot spinach and feta stuffed croissants, fresh fruit, juice and coffee ready when we returned. This will definitely be our go-to stay in Culpeper!

My husband and I recently stayed at Fountain Hall after attending the Castleton Festival. We had a terrific stay and really enjoyed the warm croissants that the owner made us for breakfast! I would highly recommend this nice B and B.

On the chance that you find yourself in need of overnight accommodations in Culpeper, Virginia, I highly recommend staying at the Fountain Hall Bed & Breakfast. This is a classic B&B with six rooms available. We stayed in the«Chelf Room,» which is appointed with an extremely comfortable Queen-sized bed, a massive bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub, and a private balcony/porch. For $ 175/night, there’s a lot of value in the room alone. But staying at the Fountain Hall also entitles you to a free«continental breakfast» — a phrase that conjures images of small, inedible factory-made muffins and individual cereal boxes. To the contrary, this continental breakfast is more along the lines of fresh fruits, yogurt, scones, croissants, and juices, a healthy and delicious way to start the day. There’s also free coffee and tea whenever you want, right next to the stack of DVDs available to all guests. The edifice itself is a spectacular old Southern manor house. It sits on a huge, immaculately manicured plot of land. The sprawling backyard is a canine’s paradise. That the property is maintained with such care is no surprise. Fountain Hall’s owners have lived in and operated the B&B for over twenty years. They’re continuously accessible if any need arises but also completely unintuitive — the perfect combination. They’re also quick with a restaurant recommendation(go to Foti’s), a good place to run(the DAR trail in the park), and a place to buy an iPhone car charger(Radio Shack, down the street). Fountain Hall is not super luxurious by any stretch of the imagination but it exceeds all reasonable expectations by a great deal. This place is the textbook ideal bed and breakfast for a small town.
