My wife and I stayed here Friday night for a wedding rehearsal. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious. Nice hotel to stay at and they had a pool and free wifi. Overall not a bad place to stay.

Part of a wedding party. Due to possible winter storms, I made an advanced purchase reservation one day prior to arrival which later I called twice requesting cancellation. The first staff almost cancelled it without paying attention, which I should have just let her do it, but wanted to be sure and then she realized she can’t cancel it. I then asked for Sales Manager information, and left a message for her, but she never bothered to call back. Strike ONE. Next day, called for Sales Manager, and explained that I had worked for HI brand, and her response was«then you should know we would charge for cancellation…» Wow!(I thought hospitality is in the business to take care of people, or help find solutions/negotiation to mutual satisfaction…) Strike TWO! Upon checking, made three attempts to get group rooming list. Staff’s response: Our GM said we can’t and we can hand write it for you…” but never did.(who hand writes nowadays, seriously! And I had the steps to print the list, but she wouldn’t budge… «Our GM said…») One of our family members experienced rude, unfriendly staff at check in. Staff never smiled nor made eye contact. On departure date, a family member realized something was missing from her room. Front Desk never offered to have Engineering print room entry report, left note for GM to contact. Surprise, surprise, GM never contacted anyone. Strike THREE. Conclusion: «Award winning». Perhaps in 2012, but the staff and management’s cold and inadequate treatment makes this a definite Don’t!

Why bother? They are so BLAND, so vanilla. And Employees reflect this nothingness attitude. I checked out and stayed at a lovely Inn intown. So fabulous.

My daughter and I stayed here for a wedding we were in town for. Excellent customer service — every employee I came across was friendly and helpful! The rooms are great — large and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious — it was a little different every morning so the variety was nice. We had friends that stayed next door at the Best Western and they were very jealous of our accommodations. I highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel was recently built and shows it. The added features of complimentary breakfast, snacks in the evening, along with evening movies in the lobby, this place seems like it is trying to make a good impression. The only flaw I found in this location was they didn’t comment on my Platinum status and give me a bag that I could see a on a talble behind the attendant for gifts. The only other thing is common complaint of HI/HIE and will bite them long term. The bathroom fan was from some central system and ill equipped for humidity and smells. You may catch a general theme with me and exhaust fans. I am hoping when HI sees mold in their rooms and damage done to interiors(i.e. wallpaper issues, bulging dry wall), that they will upgrade their systems and fix this overarching issue with their chain. On a newer place like this, increase the CFM to prevent it before you have expensive repairs caused by it. In a southern humid environment, this makes more and more sense.

Good hotel experience. Indoor pool, rather shallow — only about a third of it 5 feet deep. But wide. Small fitness room. Great breakfast.
