I see all these comments but wonder if y’all know that they drop sandwiches on the floor and still serve it !!!

Went in yesterday. Got some nachos. Staff looked at us as if we was in the wrong place. Humm just didn’t get good vibes from the staff. Finnally placed the order to go. Got home seen i could have done better job myself. if i would have made them nachos at home. How can u go wrong with nachos? Nachos and slice of pie and $ 2 tip=$ 23 very over priced. Doubt we will ever go back. Wanted to make this place our family restraunt cause we live close by but after walking in and seeing the staffs attitudes just made the expierence awful.

I grew up in Covington and I was really excited to try out Nikki’s. I was terribly disappointed in the whole restaurant. The server was nice(new but nice), the atmosphere was very blah. Not good lighting, the diner stunk, and the food was plain and way over priced. They also made our drinks wrong :(. My mom just recently went and she said the same thing, that she will never go again. It is a great idea to finally have a sit down restaurant in our small down, but please rethink how NIKKI’S is being run.

Pathetic. Horrible atmosphere! Slow, if not almost non-existent service, ridiculously overpriced menu, heavy salted food laden with gravy on everything to hide the ‘food service out of the box’ food. The restaurant is empty for a reason, it’s the worst. We banned it a long time ago but heard it was under new management so we tried again. The only difference is the prices have increased! You can get a far better meal at Applebee’s for a third the price. It’s nothing more than frozen food nuked before serving. Never again. Certain to go out of business like has happened before. Rip off

Been here enough times and finally had enough tonight to write a review… Food is average at best and they nickel and dime you any which way they can… 11.95 for 6 mozzarella sticks? Come on now… Any normal person wouldn’t buy that… The kicker tonight is that they tried to pass off a frozen hamburger patty as a sirloin burger… I’ve had the sirloin burger before and it tasted actually pretty good. This was piss poor. It does need to be said that breakfast is probably all that is good here. That being said the sneeze guards for the buffet are normally coated in dust and at times haven’t been cleaned in awhile… This was probably our last trip here which is sad because awhile ago it actually was a decent restaurant… P. S. For the prices they charge, do they really need to charge you a .35 cent credit card fee???

Awesome owners and staff. Huge portions-start with a to-go box! Everything on the menu tastes great!

I feel the need to update my review, as I seriously do not understand all the bad reviews regarding bad service and food. First off, my family goes to Nikki’s on a regular basis. My mother loves getting nachos or a salad and eating it at the bar while watching the Seahawks game. They are always packed on Saturday night, which indicates they are doing something right. Service has ALWAYS been consistent and fantastic. My husband, mother and I always are treated like family. We have had their pasta, steak, seafood, salad, and nachos. All their food, at least for dinner is super tastey. I have not had their breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. Their clam chowder is fab and is not super salty. I have never seen brown lettuce in their salads. If the service is great I can’t imagine that when there are issues the owner is rude as some people claim. Also, I recently read Nikki’s is owned by the same people who owned Glorias in Maple Valley. Well, Covington can use that type of restaurant and I always liked Glorias. I prefer giving my business to a small business with friendly staff rather than chain restaurants like Red Robin with high prices, small portions of food, and soggy steak fries. We have always received our food quickly. The menu may not please some of the hippy dippy younger crowd who want ficosia bread and chipotle everything. But in my opinion it’s nice to have a restaurant that serves a cheeseburger with a traditional hamburger bun and not ten thousand toppings with chipotle and siracha sauce. Nikki’s does great business and I suspect they will be around for years to come. If you don’t care for Nikki’s food, I guess you can go down the street to Red Robin for overpriced food and soggy fries.

My family is always more than happy with the food and service at Nikki’s. Love having a «NICE» restaurant in the Covington area that isn’t a chain. Everything we have tried so far has been wonderful including the steaks, prime rib, sandwiches, chicken strips, salads, etc. :)

Been here multiple times for breakfast and every time I get my hopes up. It’s more like a denny’s breakfast. Pretty average food, bland, nothing that makes me really want to come back. Service is slow on weekends(typical almost anywhere on the weekends though) and the space is tight. Overall it’s just OK in my opinion.

This place is amazing! Food is superb, and the help is great. Especially Rachelle and Kyle. Those 2 are amazing. The only person who is not so good is a blonde waitress who looks be in her early twenties. She is a little mean. And I noticed a very polite guy ask for her number after calling her pretty and she sorta chucked and said no. Then went off to gossip to all the other employees about how this gross guy asked her out. Being in similar positions I felt for that man, and I understand rejection, however I disagree with the what she did, going around and making fun of him. The food is great! Don’t get me wrong, this place is great. But that one waitress/hostess gal makes me sad. Have a great day.

I have eaten here many, many times. Never had bad service nor bad food. Portions are huge, wait staff always friendly. I don’t understand where these bad reviews are coming from. Great place to watch Hawks games, have dinner, happy hour, eat with the family. I came for prime rib tonight. It was enough for two people!

Went in for breakfast since there’s not much in Covington. Huge mistake. Service was actually quite good. The food, particularly the value for what they charge… terrible. Why does a cup of crappy Folgers coffee cost $ 2.99?! Why do they make their omelettes with 4 eggs, then barely fill them with anything? The ratio was all off. Why do they put a strange dollop of tomato sauce on top of a Denver omelette?! Gross. Why do they use the blandest frozen hash-Browns, then refuse to add a speck of salt to them on the grill? Flavorless, gross. But the biggest question I was left with was how do they charge over $ 12 for this heap of mess?! I’ll never be back.

I sat in the bar area in a booth. Plenty of T.V.‘s for game, food was great big portions, great price, and fast service. Glad I stopped in.

We recently started dining here, we had been there years ago, and it was not the best. We decided to give it another try, &ITISANAMAZINGPLACE. To put it simply, we feel @ home there, everyone is friendly. A major, tremendous, huge… shout out to Kyle, one of the servers… who is is the most attentive, nicest, & anticipates your server needs, before you even know you need him… kinda guy. Kyle is one of the main reasons we keep coming back to this place.(Their huge selection of pies also helps.) Go on… give this place a try… you’ll love it. whether you are there with your family for dinner, or there to watch the game with your friends… they’ve got you covered. Thank you Nikki’s for the great atmosphere, and service. see you soon!

We really like this place! Dinner is better than breakfast but it’s not bad either! Always need a togo box, more than generous portions. Beef stroganoff and London broil are my favorites, they taste like mom made them :) Note; we’ve always sat in the lounge for dinner and a younger man has been working. He’s very nice and attentive. Breakfast in the dining room, we had the same lady both times and she’s very awkward. Almost everyone on the restaurant side is awkward.

BEWAREOFNIKKI’S… Terrible food, even worse service. I don’t normally say bad things about small businesses, as I would love to see most businesses succeed, but the experience I had here at NIKKI’S is something that everyone needs to beware of! I Went here for lunch, I asked the waitress to check with the cook to see if the soup was gluten free, as I have SEVERE celiac disease. The waitress Judy assured me that clam chowder was indeed gluten free, I was shocked and even made her double check! She brought the clam chowder out and it was so salty and could hardly eat it because it was so terrible! Then I me and my friend ordered a salads because the chowder was SOO bad, and when they brought it out the salad was soggy and brown because the lettuce was so old… The waitress never checked on us. 20 minutes later when I got home I was so sick and throwing up for hours! For someone with celiac, it can be very dangerous to consume gluten and cause many complications… I decided to call NIKKIS to double check that the chowder was gluten free, and when I called i asked what soups they were serving, they said chowder and split pea. I asked are any of these gluten free?! And she came back and said«NO»… Then I told her the story of what had happened to me earlier while I was there and the lady on the phone says«what do you want me to do about it»… I explained to her how sick it made me and how I may need to go to the hospital… She then says«WELLHAVEFUNATTHEHOSPITAL»… I told her to give my phone number to the owner Jeff and have him call me… He never called, surprise surprise… I had to drive down there and hunt down the owner Jeff, and when I explained what happened… His explanation was that the chef did not understand what the waitress was asking him… SERIOUSLY??? You are going to risk the health of your customers by hiring such incompetent people that they can not communicate properly, or at least ACT concerned that they had made a mistake that caused me to be terribly ill… I have NEVER had such terrible service EVER… And with such terrible food AND customer service, I don’t suspect Nikkis will be around much longer…

Food poisoning!!! My daughter got food poisoning here and she called to let the manager know. She was treated with disrespect and rudeness. The owner would not even say she would look into it. All she had to do was so she was sorry and shed check their procedures. Instead she was rude. We loved this place. I would not eat here. If they won’t even double check their food safety. That’s an issue.

Decided to go back and was even more disappointed. Food is mediocre and overpriced. Had half of the chicken ceasar which was just under $ 12 plus kids chicken nuggets. Nuggets were overcooked. Chicken ceasar was just okay. Both plates were unnecessarily overloaded with garnish. Best thing I can say is that the servers are good. Won’t be going back anytime soon, if ever

Well, I just paid $ 16 for a marginal club sandwich and a sour attitude. As a local diner, we thought this seemed like a nice place for lunch. We noticed the portions were large, and ordered a club sandwich and told the server we would just share it. Without any further ado, she brought two plates and had split the order. When the bill came, it had an extra $ 2 charge for splitting the order. We would have been just as happy to share one plate(we didn’t ask her to give us two plates) and the waitress told us «it’s on the menu» … and there is a small reference at the bottom of the menu saying«split charge $ 2.» Added to that, the use of any debit or credit card invokes an additional fee from the restaurant, which they say is posted«on their door»(obviously others have complained about this, too, which is why they feel they need to post it). We spoke with the owner, a rather sour woman who made no apologies for the extra prices, basically said they have to cover their costs because of their large portions, and essentially could have been a poster child for poor customer service. Essentially, the diner is more expensive than what you get in food quality or service. It’s unfortunate that the friendly servers are hampered by an owner/manager who obviates the good work they are doing with ridiculous policies and an unfriendly, unwelcoming attitude towards her customers. Shame on you. Learn something about customer service, make life easier for your employees, be gracious to your customers, or find another career where you don’t have to work with the public or manage people. Not cool.
