I came by today to get some blood work done per my doctors request and the lady at the front desk was very rude i thought it would be good to come here because it’s closer to my home but I would rather drive a distance and be treated with respect than by someone that I don’t understand and rude at the same time I will never come here again.

Walked in with a doctors note for blood test at 11, got a phlebotomist (phlebo means blood in Greek!) to draw me after 45 min wait and I was out by 1150.
50 mins from start to finish with a bunch of people before me.
They have a kickass French bakery next door too!

I walked in to have a drug test done for a new job. I was told by the employee that I could go to any quest diagnostics location. This location was closest to me, so I walked in. Showed the receptionist my paperwork that said Pre-​Employment drug screening and she had me sign in on the walk in list.
After about 10 –15 min of waiting a nurse came out and say my paper in my lap and said I am sorry we don’t do that here. (He was very nice about and seemed helpful) The reason for the 2 stars is because the recepoinst could have let me know, when I showed her the paper when I first walked in.

I have been waiting for an hour now and still not called. It was close to the doctors office and I wanted to take care of it right away. Huge mistake on the ‘right away’ part. Will avoid this place.

Bad, very bad location. Been here with an infant twice — both visits made us wait 40+ minutes, with and without appointment. Sucks to come here :-(next time will rather go to Newport Beach location

They are always fast and professional here. The lady was a bit worked up when I walked in because they were short staffed. I realized later she had a bit of a handful to deal with in the lobby so I cut her some slack.
The location is great for me, the place is kept very clean and they know how to take blood.
HOT TIP … Getting a blood draw? DRINK LOTS OF WATER!

This is the best Quest Diagnostics office I’ve been to! The young woman working front desk the last few times I was here was so so pleasant to talk to, and I saw that she was familiar with the returning patients, making them feel welcome.
I have also LOVED every phlebotomist I’ve seen here. They have always been so gentle and patient, and so good at making me feel comfortable in a typically uncomfortable situation, that every time I leave here I go straight home to write that person a shining review on the Quest Diagnostics website. Its a tough job to stab a person in the arm and not have them leave resenting you!
Keep up the good work here! The facility is always clean and I always leave happy.

This office has always been pleasant and efficient, and today when I came in mid afternoon the place was very quiet. Joey, who drew my blood was extremely kind and skilled that Quest is lucky to have him. When he told me that he teaches, I could see that he took pride in his work. I’ve been getting my blood drawn for 15 years and this is the best office I’ve been to.

Without an appointment took almost an hour and a half to get back to a room. Now… I understand I didn’t make an appointment, so I can’t really complain about waiting. YET, except for one, the rest of the people who run this place are SO slow, rude, and so so so unorganized. I get back to the room to have my labs done and they still haven’t put all of my information in the computer! To make matters worse, the lab tech types 5wpm. All of this takes an additional 30 minutes or so after getting into the back. Ridiculous! This location needs to get it together! Hire people to do the paperwork, seriously.

This office is busy! If you don’t have an appointment, expect to wait. I see other Unilocalers giving this place bad reviews because of the long wait, make an appointment if you’re that busy or impatient. SMH. The staff is very friendly and professional.
Besides getting poked by a needle, I have no complaints.

The young lady that sits at the front desk was rude. Third time I’ve been there this month (obviously not a good time for me) so i would expect a little more kind interaction rather than rude remarks and condescending eye gestures. I give one star to the girl that drew my blood at least she didn’t hurt me.

I made an appointment online. I got there about fifteen minutes before my appointment and I didn’t have to wait very long. They honored my doctor’s lab order even though it specified another lab. They drew my blood painlessly and gave me a cup for my urine specimen. I couldn’t have spent more than half an hour there.
They took a walk-​in after me who didn’t have to wait long, either. This took place a little after noon. Apparently they are busiest between nine and ten. I guess people want to get it over with so that they can break their fast.
A few days later I got my lab results. Quest made everything quick and easy. I would definitely go back.

Love this Quest Diagnostics. So much better than the shady one in Santa Ana. You’ll definitely want to make an appointment and if online doesn’t work, which it doesn’t sometimes, just give the # a call and they can do it for you.
I’m NOT a big fan of getting blood drawn whatsoever (I get queasy seeing my own blood) and there are ways to make the procedure more bearable if you just ASK. Here’s what I do: when you sit down, ask the phlebotomist if you can sign your tube labels AHEAD of time. Why you ask? Because after they draw your blood, they will be sticking those labels on your very OWN TUBES OF BLOOD, then show them to you and have you sign those labels anyway to basically say, «Yes, this is my blood.» Stupid when the labels are sitting RIGHT THERE anyway. Don’t let them tell you you can’t because I’ve done this several times and when I got someone new who told me I couldn’t, I told him I’ve done it before and asked him to get his supervisor. The supervisor ended up telling him it was okay for me to do this. Damn Newbie…
Here was our entertaining conversation:
Me: «Hi, can I please sign my labels and/​or paperwork before you draw my blood? I don’t like seeing my own blood.»
Phlebotomist: *serious face* «No.»
Me: «You’re kidding, right? I’ve done it before with her *points to another phlebotomist* Can you please go ask your supervisor? I know I’m allowed to do this… Unless you want me fainting and on the floor, I suggest you ask someone.»
Phlebotomist: *big SIGH and walks over to his supervisor, which is the same lady I pointed at originally“
I hear mumbling… «…she doesn’t like to see her own blood… we can’t do this, right? I already told her noo…» «No, it’s fine, just let her sign the labels. It’s okay.»
Supervisor walks in, «Hello, yes you can sign the labels. Just sign here please. Thanks.»
Me to Phlebotomist: «Thank you for asking. It’s not like the labels you had already printed would MAGICALLY change as you drew my blood right?»
Phlebotomist: *Grumble grumble*
MUAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! Ask and you shall receive. And I get being slightly bitchy usually gets you what you want. ;)

Worst experience — if you just got here, walk out now and go to the Quest on Talbert. It’s what I had to do.
The staff was terrible, and I waited over an hour, as did everyone else who was there. I regret coming to this location and not a different Quest. I was a walk-​in, but I’ve gone to other labs for blood tests and never waited. Either they are under staffed, over booked, or poorly run — probably a little of each.

Made an appt. For 11:00am 1 month ago, that’s how far the calender was scheduled out for this day and time. I arrived at 10:50am. Signed into the appointment calender and did not get called to have my blood work until 11:40!!! What is the point of making an appt. If you have to wait 40mins anyhow? I know for a fact people who did not make an appt got called before I did which infuriated me but I keep my cool and figured I just write a bad review and call the supervisor afterwards to express. My unhappiness. My advice, these places are a dime a dozen, drive the extra 5 miles to santa ana or newport beach and check if that experience is any better.

If you need to scheudle an appointment or reach someone, forget about it. This by far was the worst expereince I have every had with trying to setup a simple appointment. Not only did thie automated system not work or understand anything I was saying, but when I call their office, you couldn’t connect with anyone. I then called the main doctor’s office and asked them to connect me. They didn’t have the capabilities, and said «we know getting a hold of quest if hard to do». My recommendation to anyone out there, go somewhere else for service. I definitely will next time.

This location is inside the Hoag Health Outpatient Center off of Baker and Fairview. The space is very nice, clean and new. I liked how easy it was to make an appointment online, but they are so busy that it is difficult to pick a date and time you really want. My appointment wasn’t until noon, so I was fasting all morning! It didn’t take very long for them to get my paperwork together and have my blood drawn, maybe 15 mins. But the waiting room was very crowded, so if you show up without an appointment, be prepared to wait. Also, if you want a copy of your results, the doctor must indicate it on the order. The customer service here was okay, they were nice but not friendly and didn’t have that «going the extra mile» attitude.
