Quest Diagnostics

Ten people ahead of me when I signed in Friday 8:07 am. Blood drawn at 9:40 am. Front desk handled paperwork impersonally. Front desk unmanned for a while. Office was very cold, full of people, many of whom were coughing. Noticed people who came after me were treated and left. Asked phlebotomist at desk why my wait was 1.5 hours and the list with my name was no longer there. She said only two people in back and wait will be long. Five minutes later I asked second phlebotomist whether they could have overlooked me. She looked at paperwork on the desk and quickly ushered me in. My fasting blood was drawn after a two-​hour wait. If you are diabetic and have not had anything to eat since 9 the previous night, have your blood drawn elsewhere unless you have an appointment. I had attempted to make an appointment online but only appointments for the week started at 10 am. The parking lot is full by that time.

The staff here is very rude, lazy, and unhelpful. They even close earlier than the time indicated on the plate.
I came here after my doctor in the same building ordered me a blood test. The nurse rushed me to get here because it was close to their lunch break. And I made it just few minutes before their closing time! BUT THE DOOR WAS LOCKED. There was somebody inside but they completely ignored my knocks. There was no line of patients and the place was empty. There is no reason to close earlier (unless they sabotage) or not answering to a patient standing outside.
I will never come to this location. Some of the other locations the staffs were very friendly.

The most horrible place. The staff is VERY rude and very slow and could care less about customer service.
It’s unfortunate that Quest is a large company and that they allow this behavior in thier employees.
When I asked about how long before I could expect to be seen — the very sarcastic answer was «I don’t know». When again I asked for an average time she said «if you have to have an answer, then assume an hour». At those point, I had already been there for 45mins. There were 2 persons ahead of me when I walked in. They finally took me at the one hour and 15 min mark.
If there was a reason why it took so long, they didn’t feel compelled to share that with myself or others waiting. I have to admit they were equally RUDE to all, not just me.
So disappointed that people don’t value their jobs and understand the benefit of customer service.

There’s a reason why you set up an appointment — that is so you don’t have to wait. And there are only 4 people in here!!! Please get your act together on this location. Other Quest labs a very efficient scheduling which shows they value your time. I guess there’s a reason why you only have 3 stars.

I am in extreme pain and after waiting 1 hour wait, I begged the receptionist to squeeze me in but I had no help here.
I usually have an appointment but not today due to the emergency, I feel she just did not care. The room was like an icebox
I feel sicker as my condition worsened. This is no customer service and it’s not right, I’m being generous rating this lab a 2 stars.

If I could rate less than 1 star, I would. I went here yesterday for a simple blood draw after visiting a doctor in the same building. When I walked in, there was one person in the waiting room and one signing in ahead of me. I thought it would be quick since blood draws take such little time. Well, was I wrong. They had a person at the desk who was on the phone for about 10 minutes and one other person working. The other technician was calling people to get insurance info and Drs orders. Turns out, she was also the only one drawing blood. As I waited, many more people came in, almost all were walk ins, like me. 2 people came in who had scheduled appointments online at ’ the other quest diagnostics in the hospital’ but the office closed before their appointments and the scheduling system had still let them schedule! Well, after an hour passed (yes, seriously an hour) it was my turn. Why they would be so inefficient as to have the person who draws the blood also doing the paperwork is beyond me. I’m still baffled as to what the person who sat at the desk actually did since she didnt do paperwork nor draw blood. Never again…

Came here after another quest diagnostics location. They were pretty good here. All the employees were friendly and tried to serve everyone quickly. Only down fall was for the pre screening for employment drug test, the want a lot of pee (sorry for the TMI), way more than other locations/​companies I have been to. The hospital they are located in is very nice and there is a lot of parking. This location is very clean which was nice!

I was referred here after I had my first ultrasound for my baby. It’s right next door to my obgyn’s office so it was convenient. Although appointments are unnecessary, I recommend you book one, otherwise it’s first come first serve and it might take a good minute. I went in on a Monday and was able to book a Thursday morning appointment.
Once the appointment is set, you are called at your time, or close to. Super pleased with that. On my first trimester blood work, I had the pleasure to have Yolanda. She is super nice and tries to keep your mind off of the situation. She showed me all that she labeled and she even explained the tests I was taking. (First child on the way, so it can be frightening.) Anyway, I was pleased and I most likely will be coming here a bit often until my due date.

I was sent here by my doctor to get blood taken, and this was the worst experience I have had so far. I am not a fan to begin with, and made that clear to the Asian lady that was taking my blood. She jammed the needle in my arm and every time she changed the vile it hurt like a bitch. If you don’t like to get your blood taken I highly suggest not going here, or stay clear of the Asian lady. I didn’t catch her name that’s the reason I’m describing her as Asian.

I have been to a couple of Quest locations and this one is BY FAR the nicest one that I have been in. The seating /​waiting area is huge, clean, and well lit. The people that work the front counter aren’t just courteous, they are actually NICE and patient and funny!
There is even VALET PARKING — what!!! you ask… Yes, you can valet park for free at this location.
Wait times seem long even if they aren’t busy, but I think that maybe a Quest thing and not the fault of this individual location.
If I have to feel like a criminal to get my routine /​surprise /​for my job /​mandatory drug testing done, at least I can feel like a criminal with valet parking, nice seats, and a quiet waiting room!

Very limited parking and it doesn’t matter if I made an appointment which I specified when signing in, it’s still first come, first serve so what’s the purpose of an appointment when the people in front of me has no appointment? I finally got to piss in a cup 45″ after my appointment and was the last one there. Don’t come between 12 – 1:30pm because they break for lunch so you have to wait there a loooong time! Staff can be friendlier too and not have to treat everyone like they’re just a number! We are the reason why you still have a job so please treat us better! Thank you!

This is literally the worst place to wait to get blood work done. I’ve been waiting here for over an hour with no one else in the waiting room. It seems like they have no idea what they are doing up there. The lady who barely speaks English ask me the stupidest questions which pro longs getting things done here. My recommendation do not

Well, I’ve apparently become a tougher draw. So much so Lena hates to see me coming and doesn’t want to draw my blood anymore. The one reliable vein she found is now gone due to iron infusions. It’s much more hit and mss for me know and I really need to find a vein whisperer for my twice yearly labs that require multiple vials.
To be fair, if you have normal veins they are just fine. Occasionally they can be brusque at the front desk but waits are reasonable even when you don’t have an appointment.

I like Quest for when you have to do the unpleasant necessary lab work we must all face from time to time.
I find them efficient and friendly. The newer location and enlarged waiting room that seats 30 rather than 4 is a HUGE improvement.
I would give 5 starrs except I can’t. I have had to ask an emplyee to change gloves and wash hands more than once — same employee. As a health professional — I can’t live with that.
I suggest coming early — they open at 8am, and they will start promptly working their way through the walk-​ins.

Brand new location on the 2^nd floor of Edinger Medical (which is on Talbert… strange). Unlike previous suite on the same floor you don’t have to sit in the hallway waiting and then get your blood drawn in a communal area with other patients. Now it’s a big waiting room with tons of seating and private rooms. Employees were very friendly while collecting my fluids.
Get stuck in the arm with a needle… piss in a cup… be on your way. End of story.

It’s usually a 10 – 20 minute wait. Last time I went, I waited an hour on a fasting draw, not fun ! But I totally understood because there was only 1 phlebotomist. They’re quick when you’re actually in the seat.
