Peter L Kim, MD

My wife and I are in our 70’s. Both of us have been with Dr. Peter Kim for well over ten years. Of all the many doctors we have had through the years, he is by far the best – very caring, most knowledgeable, and a good communicator (including via NextMD!).
[We have been slow to give a review because of our unhappiness with the overall health care bureaucracy plus the top management that unlike Dr. Kim seem to be more interested in the bottom line. In the last few months the office folks have become much more friendly.]

I’ve been a patient w/​the Baker Ofc for 14+ years and switched to Dr. Kim over 8 yrs ago when my other PCP moved offices. Dr. Kim spends time with his patients, discusses diagnoses and action plans in great detail, always asks if there are further questions and most amazingly — is on time more often than not!
I’m giving him a full 5 stars — but I do agree with the others, that the front office staff (many of whom have also been with the practice for nearly all the years I’ve been a patient) *always* tend to be grouchy and rude! I wonder if their attitude would change if the practice offered opportunities to rate your visit — either online, or old-​fashioned postcards or notes, as various hospitals and hotels do; A «How did we serve you?» type of questionnaire?

I have never had an unpleasant visit when going to this office and I have been going for about 15 years. The front desk personnel are always kind and helpful whenever I come in and Dr. Kim is an amazing doctor who is very caring and provides excellent health care. Everyone in the office is very professional and the office is beautiful with all the new remodeling they have done.

I agreed w/​Jessica. The font desk personel are not professional. I am happy with Dr Kim. He documented my health history in the web site so I can check or ask questions whenever I need.

I have been Dr Peter Kim’s patient for 1 year. I have been extremely satisfied. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a Doctor. He is professional. Seems very knowledgable and is able to explain things in a way everyone can understand. He will communicate with you over the web if your so inclined

I love my Doc but the front desk girls are snotty. If you value your health and want quality care see Dr. Kim just overlook the front desk people.

I’ve been going to Dr. Kim for a few years, He is a very good doctor. As the previous person said, the office staff isn’t much to rave about, but Dr. Kim is very good, never rushes and explains everything well.

I called for an appt and got one the next day. That was the good part and it was downhill from there. The office is stafffed with slow and apathetic people. I get there at 10:10 for a 10:30 appt. I waited 3 minutes until somebody came over. She gave me forms to fill out and then looked at the clock (it now said 10:14) and she scratched out the time of my arrival and wrote 10:15. Filled out my forms and handed my driver’s license and insurance card by 10:28. I suspect the office people had forgotten about me until 20 minutes I asked for my card back. By this time, others have with later appointments with the same doctor have already been called in (I checked sign in sheet. Evidently, they schedule appt in 15 minute blocks, which I doubt they can handle). So I finally get called at 11:15 whereupon I asked «Will the doctor be seeing me shortly?» Nonchalant response: «oh…he’s in there with another patient, so it will probably take another 30 minutes.» So after a few more incredulous exchanges, I walked out. To be fair, I never saw the doctor so I can’t rate his clinical skills. But judging from the unsympathetic, inept staff, I would strongly advise NOT VISITING this whole clinic, unless you have nothing to do and like watching time pass.
