Precision Movers

Notice that I never got a response from Larry? Any other negative rating he has replied to. Not mine. Larry legitimately no showed me on my move date and screwed me out of hundreds of dollars. I’m sure if he replied now, the response would be «it was 9 months ago, I don’t recall the situation»…if you had any sort of reasonable excuse at the time, you would have replied to my post. I’m sure at HIS convenience, Larry has made for a good moving experience for some others. But it’s at HIS convenience. If your move doesn’t take priority for you, not only will he not show, but he will ignore your calls. Larry is garbage and runs a garbage company.

I got a hols of Precision Movers as they came up when I rented my U-​Haul truck from Houston, TX to Costa Mesa, CA. Larry was very responsive over email and assured me he would take good care of my stuff (especially the item I was most concerned with which was my Washer/​Dryer, all-​in-​one unit — a $ 1,700 piece of equipment).
Larry and his other colleague actually showed up earlier than they were supposed to (like 15 min. earlier) which freaked me out since I know moving companies are always trying to squeeze every dime they can from you and will charge even the 2 seconds they work extra. But that wasn’t the case. Larry was very polite and put no pressure on me at all (I was still busy with the property manager touring my apartment complex).
These guys moved me into my new apartment in less than 2 hours. They are professionals and I could tell that just by talking to Larry. He observed how my truck arrived and pointed out many issues on how the truck was loaded by the previous company — it all made sense. He knew that my Washer/​Dryer, all-​in-​one unit was supposed to have the moving bolts screwed back in to make the drum stand still while they moved that beast. These guys were professionals. Not even close to the guys I hired in Houston.
They do a high quality work and are reasonably priced. They also have a great attitude towards work and you can tell that when they show up, they are not BS-​ing and «buying time.» They are there to WORK and WORK HARD. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Larry and Willy showed up on time, and ready to work. These guys moved my house in just over 2 hours. They wrapped up big items from upstairs in heavy blue padded blankets, so the items wouldn’t scuff the stair hallway.
Excellent job in a professional manner. Nothing got broken or lost.
Would recommend them 100 times over.

These guys are awesome! Called me the day before to make sure all thier information was correct –great customer service the whole time. When they arrived they immediately went to work literally running back and forth getting boxes. It was also over 80 degrees too! They filled the truck in a speed I didn’t think was possible and managed to get an incredibly frustrating refrigerator out fast and professionally. I would recommend them to anyone and I already have! Great job Larry, Willie and James! Thanks for making my move way less of a headache then I anticipated!

Best moving experience of my life!!! My sister and I were moving very late notice, and called Larry. He offered to even do it that evening but opted for the next morning. His truck was already booked for a job, so we rented a uhaul and Larry and Brett met us at the storage unit. They did in an hour and a half what it took the other guys that moved us in there 6 hours to do. The second location for a pick up was a 3^rd floor apartment, and even then they were quick and efficient and in very good spirits. Both men were accommodating, efficient and very likeable! They’re the only moving company I will ever use. Cannot find better professionals anywhere!

but he just bailed on me and didn’t show up on the day of the move!!! he didn’t even pick up my calls or respond any texts!
that cost me a whole lot of trouble and money to find other movers that late at night …

A superb example of what customer service should be like, Larry and his partner Willie showed up early and got right to work with efficiency and continued to work until every thing was done. Then went the extra mile to make sure every detail had been seen to, all that i had to do was unpack and put everything away with no wondering where everything was the fellas at Precision know what they are doing when it comes to moving. Best of all the rates were excellent and well worth it the gentlemen were pleasant and professional and this was the smoothest most painless move i have ever experienced. I will definitely use Precision Movers for all my moves and will suggest them to everyone I know who are moving.

We were so impressed with this company. Larry is truly a great guy and amazing at his job. Our move had a few hiccups but Larry took care of us and charged us hardly anything.
We were supposed to have 3 guys move us from HB to lake forest. One guy called in sick the morning of and Our move was larger then Larry had originally thought so he had booked another move that day. Larry showed up on a Saturday on time with only 1 other mover, Willy and his largest truck. These 2 worked so hard and so carefully. They are so respectful, kind and courteous as they are moving. They were sweet to my toddler. They were conscientious of not dinging our walls or furniture. One dresser had a chip and Larry pointed it out to me, didnt try to hide it. They wrapped all furniture with plastic. Nothing was broken. They hooked up our washer, dryer, put all the beds together and rebuilt the crib. At 10:30pm after a 15 hour day they asked me what else could they do for us and were smiling. They ended up bringing a 3^rd guy on halfway through the day and having to make a 2^nd trip to get all of our items. Larry didnt charge me for any of that. For a 15 hour day, I was charged less then $ 600. Larry wouldn’t let me tip him either, he just asked us to give it to his guys, he said they needed it more then him.
So I will reccomend this company to everyone I meet who needs a mover. These are the most hardworking guys I have ever met. They have big hearts. They will take care of you and your belongings. Buy them a good lunch or dinner, or both if you have a long move like I did. They take no breaks an they’re literally running carrying your boxes and furniture all day long. Tip them well. You won’t be disappointed.

Wow! Talk about service! And their prices are VERY reasonable.
Larry (the owner) and Willy arrived to help me pack my moving truck. Not only were they careful with my things, but when their hands were empty they RAN back inside to get more! Larry even made sure to put padding over the truck’s interior light so my furniture wouldn’t be damaged. Every detail was paid attention to. They packed up my home and storage unit (2 bed 2 bath) all inside of two hours.
When I arrived at my final destination (1400 miles away) nothing had shifted in the truck. The movers I hired to unpack the truck were amazed at how well Precision Movers packed it. Larry must be a Jenga master: I reserved a truck a few feet too short, and he made it all fit. Every single thing. He actually seemed to welcome the challenge.
I will be using Precision Movers again if I move back to the area and have already recommended them to family/​friends. You should too!

I called these movers last minute for a move after another moving company refused to move me. They fit me in their schedule for the next morning and they were nothing but nice sweet and very efficient. It was 2 men and they moved my entire house into my storage unit in only 2 and a half hours. I was so impressed! I’m getting ready to move again and so excited to call them for a second time. Their prices are so reasonable and they were nothing but courteous and accommodating. Not only did they help me also but I referred them to my dad when he had move back to this country and had all of his stuff shipped on a boat, and my father said they were amazing as well. I would definitely choose this moving company over all others.

Larry, James, and. .. damn. .. pretty sure it was Dylan (sp?) were awesome. Confirmed with me details in advance by phone. Showed up early.
We were moving from one apartment building to the apartment building next door, which involved a bunch of back and forth trips with hand trucks and whatnot. They didn’t start the clock until after moving one complete load to get the lay of the land. They were super friendly, professional, respectful, careful, organized, detail-​oriented and speedy. It took about twice as long as I expected (because I underestimated how much crap we had to move, not because they were slow) but I still had to insist they eat lunch.
My only misgiving was that it took a few days /​phone calls /​voicemails (then, a full voicemail) to finally get through to Larry. Dude is in high demand. Glad I persisted. You should too if you can’t reach him immediately.

We recently had a new addition to the family that required me to give up my condo and move into a house. I was contemplating on doing the move myself but last time I checked I ain’t no spring chicken anymore. I reached out to my trusted resource, Unilocal and it directed me to Precision Mover.
I spoke to Larry and he was very professional and knowledgeable. We provided a list of items to move and he quoted us a very reasonable price.
On the day of the move, they showed up 15 minutes early for a quick walk through of the home. They started to move all the boxes in the garage and did not start the time until they moved the first item in the home. Score! They were extremely careful wrapping all the furniture and even provided a clothes rack. Larry and his partner were on a mission and were able to finish in a timely manner. He even plugged in our washer and dryer for free.
Who da man? Larry you are the MAN!
They have gone above and beyond my expectation. I recommend them to anyone who needs a professional and reliable movers.

The Best! I’m a man of few words. All I got to say is The Best! Was referred from the new apartments from where we were going to move to. My wife does not impress easily and both our mouths dropped when we saw them in action. All the other positive reviews are accurate I must say.

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my stuff then these guys!!!
Larry and Kelly moved me not only insanely quick, but were more careful with my stuff (even the junk) then myself. They treated absolutely everything as if it were valuable china, oacked it carefully… moved quickly yet cautiously and got the job done.
Such a tough job to do, but they smiled… laughed and worked their butts off the entire time.
Their rates are INSANELY afforadable, honestly they could get away with charging much more. Their service is worth a pretty penny, but they keep it honest, affordable and do able for people of all finanical abilities.
These guys get 500 million stars for being speedy, very reliable, extremely motivated, all in all AMAZING!!!

I had a great experience this past Sunday with Larry and Kelly at Precision Movers. They are hardworking, professional, and very fair when it comes to their rates/​charges. For example, they did not start the time clock until after they had arrived, finished their preliminary look through, and actually started moving items. Also, at the end of the move, they took off some time because they felt the move took longer than they had anticipated, which shows they do business in an honest and customer-​friendly way.
They very carefully wrapped every item in cloths and further wrapped fragile items like TV, mattresses, nightstands, etc in plastic wrap to protect them. Everything made it through the move untarnished (even my crappy IKEA bookshelfs).
Moving is typically a painful experience, but hiring these guys made it really easy. Highly recommended and a great Unilocal find! Thanks Unilocal and Precision Movers!

Larry, the owner, is the best guy ever. He is a kind and genuine person and this extends into every aspect of his business. He was able to meet me and 3 different locations and end up in the final location with only a few days notice. He and his collegue treated my belongings as if they were there own. They did not let me or my boyfriend lift a finger and they got the move done way faster than expected on a hot summer day. Turns out I had Larry in the past and had remembered him as the ‘Best mover ever’ but has lost his number. He of course has now gone on to start his own business which I love. I am very picky about the types of businesses I spend money at and I like to support small local businesses that deserve it.
On top of a great and easy move, he was able to squeeze in picking up a couch off of craigslist for me!
I will never use any other movers EVER! Thank Larry you are the best.

I am SO glad I called precision movers instead of begging friends to help me figure out how to get my oversized couch into my upstairs apartment with an undersized front door. They were friendly, enthusiastic, energetic and motivated to get the job done. I am so impressed with them that I’m hiring them to do my full move next week!
