Wow ~ I should have checked this review site first. This PC Planet Systems is a completely dishonest company. At this point they have stolen lose to $ 200.00 from me with their deceptive, and dishonest methods. I am desperately attempting to get my refund now. I will be reporting them to the BBB in hopes of getting my money back.

Absolutely scandalous and illegal. I ordered a $ 197.00 printer on 10÷24÷14. On 11÷14÷14 I received an email stating my order was being processed. I did an online chat from their web page asking what was taking so long — the PC Planet Rep said they were trying to locate a printer for me in China. (what?) 11÷21÷14 I received an email stating the unit they found did not pass testing so they were issuing a «Credit Memo». On 12÷7÷14 I sent an email asking where was my credit. On 12÷9÷14 they sent an email stating that a «Credit Memo» was store credit only, ORDERS ARE NON-​REFUNDABLE. They included this link to show where their policy statement was:
I had not realized but they had charged my credit card immediately on 10÷24÷14. They charged me SALES TAX & SHIPPING/​HANDLING on an item that NEVER WAS EVEN SHIPPED and that they claimed did not even pass their testing! Thankfully my Credit Card company (US BANK) was able to reverse this fraudulent charge fairly quickly. How they are allowed to remain in business is a mystery to me. Someone needs to go to jail. There are a lot of good internet companies out there to choose from, please do not be another victim of PC PLanet!

Horrible service even using their online website. I am still awaiting for a refund 3 months later.

Run from this company. Very similar experience as previous posts. Paid for expedited shipping and still took 4 weeks to get mother board. Installed it and it did not work, spent 4 hours troubleshooting and finally gave up. I requested an RMA and sen it back and had to request an update on my refund and finally got a response that I would get my refund in 24 hours. That was 4 weeks a go!!! I have sent several emails requesting an update, called every phone number I can find. Finally called my credit card company and they are doing the refund. I also filed a complaint with the FTC.

I wish I had read these reviews before doing business with these sleeze-​balls. ordered a graphics board, got no order confirmation or any other communication from them for 5 days. Emailed to cancel order — was told the order had been accepted and could not cancel and the order was being shipped out (suddenly). I told them if it hadn’t been shipped I was canceling and they repeated their rhetoric.
I’m now disputing the charge with my card company. what a pain in the neck!!!

Ha ha I too got screwed by these liars. Ordered a motherboard from their web site only to have the order rejected due to «credit card issues.» Instructed to return to the site and reorder, I see the price has gone up in 4 hours by almost 20%. Needless to say no order was placed.

I too got suckered by this company as others have (PS, Google — update your ratings on your shopping site!!!). I advise anybody burned by PC Planet to contact:
— California Department of Justice
— Federal Trade Commission
— Orange County District Attorney
— Your credit card company. Most (like mine) offer chargeback services. PC Planet Systems didn’t contest mine and I got my refund very quickly.
Don’t even bother with the Better Business Bureau. They just facilitate contact but they have no arbitrative authority. Worse, they consider any response from PC Planet, regardless of how fictional or libellous it is, as a ‘good faith effort’ to resolve the dispute (which actually works to PC Planet’s credit in some backwards way).
Don’t be intimidated by PC Planet’s ‘legal department’ when they start making threats. If such a department exists (I’m convinced it doesn’t), the people staffing it are dangerously incompetent. When they threatened to call the ‘local authorities’ on me, I demanded the American Bar Association numbers from their ‘legal counsel’ to which I, oddly, got no response. They threatened to charge me with criminal harassment if I didn’t stop e-​mailing them for a refund, to which I dared them to and, again, heard nothing back.
Companies like this rely on the complacency and ignorance of its customers to continue taking advantage of them. If enough people complain, the authorities will respond!

In early April, I hired a local computer repair company to replace my PC’s broken motherboard. My technician ordered a replacement board through PC Planet Systems, which is where the nightmare began. I should have just scrapped my old machine and built a new one from scratch.
My technician placed the order for the motherboard and received a confirmation that it would be delivered in five business days. When the package failed to arrive, he called PC Planet’s customer service and was informed the part was now on back order. Fair enough. The new delivery date would be an additional week later.
April came and went, and the motherboard had yet to arrive by May. My technician again placed four calls to their customer service regarding the whereabouts of this part. The motherboard finally shipped 30 days after our order was placed.
Upon arrival, my technician calls me with bad news: the replacement motherboard is defective. He contacted PC Planet Systems to return it, however, the company refused to issue a refund. On their website, no policy is listed for returning items, and no policy is listed for special orders. My technician spoke to the highest level of management, who still would not refund our money.
My technician contacted his credit card company to dispute the charge. However, he was informed that because PC Planet charged his card in April, not when the product shipped in May, that too much time had passed to file a claim.
Again, my technician contacted PC Planet to try reconciling the situation. Now, it is the end of July, and I’ve given up and taken a $ 255 loss for a useless motherboard. Not only am I out money, but I have been without a computer for four months and it still has yet to be fixed.
Buyer beware! Avoid purchasing anything from PC Planet.
