I’ve been here twice in the last couple of years, and Matt has helped me both times. He’s EXCELLENT. The price is fair and the service is expert, friendly and fast. Highly recommended.

You pay for what you get for. Quality service for a fair price. The guy is super nice too. My bf and I were very satisfied with the service.

When I say that I accidentally «dropped» my MacBook, that wouldn’t be the entire truth… not quite, anyway.
When I say that afterward when I picked up my MacBook, the screen was «shattered.» That’s a bit closer to truth. I mean, it was. It really was! Yet, again, «shattered» doesn’t seem to rightly imply the impact that, upon opening, drove splinters of glass to rain upon my feet.
The embarrassing truth is that my MacBook slid from atop my SUV… while I was driving. Right turn, full throttle – it abandoned its perch and smashed onto the street. (I’d placed it up top while I fished for my keys, forgot about it when I’d unlocked the door, and suffered the consequences after I drove away.)
Time to Unilocal!
Beyond the rubble of the accident-​prone (like myself), Mac Help OC emerges; and Matt and Tim, applauding efforts such as mine, welcome you! Both of them, really, are great guys. I’m not as computer-​savvy as I’d like to think I am – just simply navigating through Google Docs unnerves me – but for these two, Macs are child’s play. Within a few days, my new display was mounted and I was back in business (for the time being, anyway.) I’m hoping I won’t be crossing Mac Help’s threshold anytime soon; but truthfully (in fact, sadly) my laptop has been flung from my truck twice now… within the same year. So, yeah…

Matt and Tim are truly the best Mac guys out there. They’re better than the Apple Store! I came in because I had a broke IPhone 6 screen. They looked at it said, no problem we can fix it for you. Quoted me a price and length of time to fix and I said lets do it!
While waiting I talked to Matt about my laptop and will be bring it in for some upgrades!
I highly recommend Mac Help OC for all your apple needs. These guys are the real deal!

A friend of mine told me about this place. Was having quit a few issues with my mac book pro. Tim sweetest guy ever brings my computer down to me in the parking lot because I told my son is asleep ! now that is great service not only did they fix my computer but they kept my son asleep! Def going back if I have any computer issues.

I had the pleasure of visiting Matt and Michelle’s shop to get my iPhone 5s screen repaired as I clumsily dropped it and the glass shattered. They made me feel like I had been coming in there for years. They not only repaired my phone but actually accommodated my work schedule and waited an hour and a half after they closed to make sure I got my phone back to me. Not many shops will wait 20 – 30 minutes for you let alone 90 mins. I honestly felt like a long termed valued customer. They will definitely get my business again in the future. I wish these two much success in the future

These guys are awesome! They fixed my iPhone that had water damage and restored everything to new… and they did it quickly! Tim and Matt are super cool, down –to– earth guys that really know what they are doing. Love to support businesses like this! highly recommend :)

Sadly for me, I’ve had to visit this place 3x over the last couple of months. Luckily each time I stopped in, the 2 gentlemen working make it a great experience. They’ve replaced the glass on the front of my iPhone (2x) and done some work on my laptop. Every time I’ve needed the Mac Help crew, they’ve worked quickly, fixed my problems and had a friendly demeanor. Best part is that you get quality work at a very competitive price.

I don’t review too much, and often times I have to go a few times and really get good service to validate it. That was the case here. Tim and Matt are both awesome to work with and way more knowledgeable than any of the Apple employees I’ve come across. (Sorry Apple Employees, you are good, but someone has to be the best) Along with being honest and affordable with their services they really do their best to quickly solve your issues and get you back up and running. I would recommend anyone with Mac issues to start here first. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve known Matt and Mac Help OC since 2010 when he first worked on my Mac back then. He is really good with Macs and computers in general. He’s helped me many times and always goes above and beyond. I fully recommend him and Tim. They rock.

Took him my Macbook Pro that quit working after 5 years! Ended up the logic board quit and would be a little spendy to fix. On his recommendation, I ended up buying a new Macbook Air and he migrated everything over from my old hard drive… new Macbook looks exactly like my old Macbook now! Very reasonably priced as well… could not be happier with the service!

Another 5 star rating for these guys. I think the essense of Unilocal is «you take care of your customers and your customers will take care of you.» That’s why I’m taking time to share my great experience with MacHelp OC. Tim and Matt were courteous, professional and engaging. They underpromised and overdelivered on the job they did in getting my Macbook out of Malware Hell, with a new OS upgrade, and cleaning up the junk that was way over my pay grade. All at a reasonable price.

My MacBook was still a spry 2.5 years old and under Apple Care warrenty when my one year old gunned it down with a splash of milk directly to its keyboard. It was instantly rendered unfuctuonal. There must have been a key permanently triggered from the liquid damage because it was giving my computer a constant comand that made it impossible to get past the log in screen, much less resume normal use.
I knew the existing warranty wasn’t going to cover it; as it is famous for not covering liquid damage and other physical damages in general. We took it into Apple in Brea to see what could be done. They didn’t even look at it. They informed us that their policy on liquid damage of any kind is that there is a flat rate payment of $ 770 dollars, no matter how little or how much has been disrupted, and for that price they repair all compromised parts/​areas. My computer was only $ 250 dollar less than that BRAND NEW almost three years before. There was no way we could pay almost the price of a new computer for a thoroughly used one, even though I very much loved it.
We went home with my $ 1000 paper weight and heavy hearts, pushed her under the bed and forgot about her for months as we saved up for a replacement.
Having mentioned our sad story to someone in passing, they advised that we might want to try taking the computer to a private repair shop and see if we could get our girl up and running for a price we could afford. Trying not to get our hopes up, we took to Unilocal,searching for a place with promising reviews.
After MONTHS out of commission, we picked up my perfectly functioning MacBook from Matt and Tim today for an unbelievable $ 280! It is covered for a year and we couldn’t possibly be any happier. They were fast, professional and honest. These guys are not trying to part you from as much money as possible like the Apple Store. They are geniuely set on determining exactly what is wrong and completely adressing the problem for the most competitive price they can offer.
Truely fantastic. We would be out a very expensive, deeply loved machine if it weren’t for Matt and Tim. So happy to have her back and to keep her far, far away from my rambunctious son.

Thank you MAC Help OC. My daughter called you because she was having trouble downloading software she needed. Whoever answered the phone was driving and stayed on the phone with my daughter the entire time and walked her through her problem. We were never charged for this help. My daughter asked me to please post a Unilocal to thank the kind tech who helped her. We don’t have his name but he was very patient, and knowledgeable. Thank you so much and we will certainly recommend your company to others!

Absolutely Awesome! Fixed my Mac Book Pro. Running faster than ever!!! I will be referring all my friends and family! Very convenient location as well. Right above Nektar and short walk to Mendocino Farms.

Tim is an absolute magician. Brought my MacBook Air back to life after a huge water spill. Other places were going to charge me $ 800 and said they wouldn’t be able to even back up my data. These guys charged about 10% of that to back up my data, got my computer working like new again, and it only cost about ¼ of what the other guys wanted to charge me in total to fix everything. Really smart guys who really care about doing a world class job. Can’t thank them enough — they saved me over $ 1,000 by saving my computer and not charging me an arm and a leg to do it. Would recommend to anyone.

Tim and Matt fixed my IMac!!! Yeah!!! They were able to restore all my pictures back onto the computer and put a new hard drive in!
Tim listened carefully to my concerns and resolved the issues. Customer care at its finest!

Responsive, communicates and stay in touch. Knowledgeable and a reasonable price. Enough said, I’d let him work on anything.

My old Mac Book was crawling like a turtle so I took it to Matt. I didn’t realize how I was afraid to A) part with my computer B) thinking it’s junk and having to shell out for a new one! Matt reassured me that he could pump some life back into my Mac. OMG!!! He thoroughly diagnosed a bevy of issues (caused by me) and was ready to fix them while I was there. He also sent me to a competitor to buy an external hard drive because his were a bit more expensive! Who does that? MATT does!
Folks…dust off your slug of a laptop and take it to Mac Help OC. This is an AUTHORIZED repair center by APPLE! (and me).

I came in here because my early 2011 Macbook was not working properly.
What was wrong?: I had opened the lid of my Macbook and smoke started coming out of the computer, near the speakers. Then there was a burning smell. The biggest concern was that I could still use the computer as in I could still turn it on and use it.
Why I came here?: I wanted to see why my computer was reacting like this. Also, although my computer was working perfectly fine, I wanted to see if it was safe to continue using it.
My experience:
Although they were not completely sure what the problem of my computer was, they did give me recommendations.
They took apart my computer to see what was wrong and realized right away that there was a water mark or some type of liquid that got into the motherboard/​logic board. I was impressed with how quickly they realized what was wrong. Also, they were super friendly and looked at my computer without charge.
They recommended that I use the Macbook without the charger. I asked if I should replace my logic board and they highly recommended not to because replacing the logic board is costly and may not fix the problem. I like the honesty especially since I feel like a lot of people would have recommended otherwise just for the $$$.
Their suggestions seem very cost efficient/​friendly, recommending more budget friendly alternatives.
