This place is now #donut dons. First time here and so far so good. We had the maple glazed cronut, snicker doodle donut and cookies & cream donut. Cute little place with a few interesting flavours

Tried out this place while I was waiting for my car to be serviced next door at the Dodge dealership. I ordered their drip/brewed coffee and a sausage/egg/cheese breakfast Sammy for $ 7.00 The coffee was self serve, which is no big deal and was quite good — hazelnut was one of the choices. As for the brkfst sammy, meh. I definitely ordered the wrong thing. It was $ 5 and it was almost identical to a sausage mc muffin… small and tasteless. Not worth it. I did notice a lot of customers ordering the ham & cheese croissants for half the price. They looked much better. They do have wifi which is nice. So overall it was decent, but I wasn’t impressed.

Unimpressed with product, service and atmosphere. Refills are self serve but you have to go to the register to pay. I find this a little tacky. Doughnuts are on the overly sweet side.

I was first introduced to Mag’s at the Newport Beach location. I was pleased to see one a bit closer to home when I moved away from Newport. Unfortunately, this one’s not quite as great. The selection is considerably limited(by comparison), and the«cash only» can be a pain in the rear when you don’t routinely keep cash on your person. Not quite as tasty as the NB location but still better than most.

Best apple fritter I have tried. Crispy but not burnt. And the donut holes were delicious. Definitely our cup of tea

I come in here every once in a while because it’s close to my house. The lady that runs the shop is really sweet. It reminds me of a donut shop I used to go to as a kid. I usually get a chocolate bar and lately a maple donut. Donuts always cheer me up!

I love coming here in the mornings to pick up a donut for breakfast. They are always friendly and ready with a smile which makes the mornings just a little bit brighter.

This location was a Winchell’s when I grew up in CM40+ years ago. Winchell’s has pretty well died out as a thriving chain, but Mag’s is better than Winchell’s ever was. After decades away from Calif, and living in a baker’s dozen other states, NOBODY has more great donut shops than SoCal. Visiting the area occasionally, Mag’s is one of the best I’ve tried in OC. The curlers are so light, and just ever so lightly crispy. Delish!

Good, colorful donuts. I brought a dozen to a meeting, and they were well-received. Quick, friendly service and easy parking.

I hate going in there, I get attitude with what I buy. They have second rate donuts and a bad attitude. I only go there when I am short on time to get the kids something. I don’t need a bad attitude when I am spending money.

Good doughnuts… nice lady behind the counter… I come in on the odd saturday or sunday with the girlfriends young daughter to get a dozen or so doughnuts for the kids. Always a good selection and they are always fresh and tasty. AND the price is always surprisingly low considering how many we get. This is my «go to» place for doughnuts. Mmmmm

The owner(I guessed, since she was alone in the shop making stuff) was really nice. I had the sugar and chocolate ones, they are pretty good. The dough was quite solid(compare to some other shops, those bubbly hollow donuts)

Great place for donuts. Always really nice, professional and most importantly, the donuts are great. I got the cronuts. Pretty good, flaky and soft in the middle where it counts. I only really get one other kind of donut, which is the triple chocolate donut which is super good. I heard the old-fashioned donuts and the blueberry donuts are pretty good too. They’re also one of the few donut places in Irvine that are open past 5PM. What, we can’t get the munchies after dinner? What if I want a donut for dessert? Wow, just talking about them makes me want to go back to the gym.

Came in for a drink but had extra change so I got a blueberry donut too for $.90. It wasn’t bad but I definitely regretted finishing the whole thing. The glaze is a bit sweeter than others but still pretty good. It’s cash only with their ATM inside the shop. Small place with just the basics. I’d come here for all your basic donut cravings.

So check this out, Yesterday a customer brought a box of donuts into the shop and left them with us all they long. I usually don’t eat donuts, in fact I don’t even like donuts but this morning as I’m lying in bed I told my wife that I need to find out where those donuts came from because they were so good. I called my shop and had one of my employees find the empty box that we through in the trash and sure enough just as I remembered there is a name on the box. Mag’s Donuts. I’m on my way to get more, very very good donuts

My daughter and I go on Sundays for some good eats. She loves the donut holes, which are delicious! The glazed and chocolate topped are amazing and melt in your mouth. Nothing special about the décor but that doesn’t bother me. Get our donuts and go home. Good local owned spot.

I think the most important compliment I can give this place or any donut store for that matter is that the donuts do not taste greasy. Nothing is worse in a donut then the taste of grease. These do not. Every time I am in I have a hard time deciding which ones I want since I have never had a bad donut here, also everything is always fresh, never tastes like I am getting a day old donut. My new favorite is the chocolate custard filled. Prices are pretty standard. Owner I am presuming is always friendly always has a smile. If you think that donut store is gonna have a good selection in the afternoon, that is a you problem, not a donut store problem.

I came here after the local Japanese market was closed. I wanted some bakery! Maple Buttermilk Bar 3 Stars Chocolate Doughnut 3 Stars Pink Sprinkles 3 Stars. Here’s the thing… Donut holes were deeeelicious. I can eat it all day long. Sugary, sweet and oh such a treat! They were soft and melted in my mouth.

My friend has been bringing me Mag’s donut holes for quite some time now. I’m addicted to them, so finally, I went to the bakery myself. Michelle is super friendly and nice. DONUTHOLES are my favorite here. I always get half a dozen, and they are so fluffy and delicious. The perfect complement to my morning coffee or tea. APPLEFRITTER is packed with flavor. The outside is crisp and before I knew it, my friend ate the whole thing and i only got a bite! FATFREEBLUEBERRYBRANMUFFIN. I rarely get fat free stuff because they taste gross. These do not. They are light, fluffy, flavorful, and great to munch on. My friend loves to eat the top part, but the bottom is quite yummy and I’ll finish it off by the end of a class lecture. HAMANDCHEESECROISSANT is just so so. I am spoiled rotten with Seaside Bakery’s ham & cheese, so this just didn’t compare. The ham is still good though, and the croissant is ok to munch on. CHOCOLATECROISSANT is not as fluffy as I usually find in little saigon, but the chocolate filling is good. COFFEE is just ok. Nothing special.
