–French Crullers are so flippin’ tasty here, quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. They have a lot of body here, and a moist milky texture with just the right amount of flavor. Delicious! –Their simple Glazed and Donut holes are addictive, a perfect balance of sweetness and thick, chewy, breadiness. They rock! Beyond those two, ALL of their donuts are fresh and tasty, and prices are reasonable. They sell mostly the classics here and do them very well. Service really is great here and very friendly. And the nice folks always throw in holes for free. I also appreciate that it’s open late every night. Just be aware that it is still cash only.

This isn’t the same donut shop like in Orange, which I originally thought was but its a good shop. The high ratings are definitely for the friendly service no doubt cause to be honest the donuts are just ok. Its nothing special but the lady working was super duper friendly and caring I can’t help but give em a higher rating. I was in the area getting donuts prior to work. Seems like the perfect choice since its open super early. I came in and ordered a bunch of donuts. The donuts are good but not overly special. The glaze was still my favorite and probably the best thing to get for me. Its not KK glaze donuts but its still pretty good. The donuts are pretty large in size so thats always nice. The lady was so friendly. She was pretty patient with me. I picked up what I could and then proceeded to bounce. Its a nice shop indeed but I’ll only come through if I’m in the area. I wouldn’t make a drive to this spot since there’s just so many options for me. They even have a drive thru so props for that. Overall its a pretty good shop for breakfast and donuts if you’re in the area. Prices are very reasonable and they open super early so why not. Its a good mom and pop shop donut joint. Glaze donuts are the bomb squad here so pick up like 20 dozen of them.

Maple bar was really yummy but I found a long piece of hair lodged in the middle): I couldnt eat the last half of it Ham and cheese croissant was ok… The inside tasted kind of raw… The iced mocha was really good though Complimentary donut holes were a plus… But they tasted more like cupcake/muffin balls? Rather than donuts…

Super yummy, fresh, and still hot! I just ate a maple bar and it was probably the best I’ve ever had. It was still warm and the maple icing was heaven. Excellent price for a dozen. I would eat a maple bar from here everyday if I could. The ladies here are very nice too.

Place is fake! They don’t even have what they post on their menu here, there’s no «cronuts», they don’t even have decent donuts. Very slim selection here, they don’t serve croissant sandwiches like they also claim here on Unilocal, false advertising! You can tell they were made with no care what so ever and very cheap ingredients. Save yourself a trip and don’t go here if you at all want a decent donut.

Was going to go to sidecar donuts but saw the line and decided I wanted something lighter anyways. So on to my quest for the princess of donuts the crueler! I know DK has them AND there’s a drive-through! So I pulled up in my car. I love the lady who takes your order is always wonderful and happy to see her customers. So handed her my cash(cash only) and got a ton of classic donuts and she always throws in extras in your bag too! this time it was an assortment of happy little doughnut holes ! Good donuts, fast and still an awesome place!

Cash only but best doughnuts In Orange County! Their mini doughnuts are incredible, and if you’re a chocolate lover this is the place for you! Not to far from OCC and fair grounds in Costa Mesa!

Good donuts for a good price. Lady at the counter and the man making the donuts both smiled and said hello to us. Appreciated the friendly atmosphere and, of course, the yummy treats!

The staff was lovely, the doughnuts were okay and the lady even gave me extra doughnut holes, thank you. However, I came in for the ham and cheese croissant which was a little over price for with little ham and barely to no cheese! Pretty disappointed, I would rather drive all the way to seaside doughnut in newport beach. Seaside knows how to make ham and cheese croissants correctly and it’s cheaper.

The quality of the donuts is great! Customer service is good. They gave us a bunch of free donut holes with each donut and it wasn’t that expensive at all. I did take off one star because they accept cash only :( Luckily I had a few bucks in my wallet. Highly recommend this place for a quick snack or breakfast treat.

The lady here is an absolute sweetheart. I came in for an afternoon sweet craving and just ordered one glazed and she threw in some donut holes since it was probably the end of the day. Service you don’t really see anymore. Hole in the wall, mom and pop type of place that will best Krispy kremes any day of the week. Theres even a drive thru.

Cash only but we are used to that by now when it comes to donuts. Barely anything left when I came, and it really seems that not one DK’s is alike. The one in Santa Monica is by far the best, some in OC are excellent as well, this would have to be my least favorite one. No cronuts for one, staff was meh, location a bit run down and scuzzy and not much to chose from right beofre lunch time. We had a mixed dozen and while it was cheap, $ 10, nothing wowed me at all. Not super fresh, no unique flavors, not bad, but not worth going out of my way to come back for.

As others have said — CASHONLY. Know this going in. No ATM on site, so best be ready to roll with dollar bills. I was torn between a solid 3 stars and going up to a 4 star rating. The doughnuts were absolutely delicious. I mean… yup, we will be back for more doughnut deliciousness. Staff was a bit rushy. There is ZERO signage as to what doughnuts are what, which was hard for me since I have a nut allergy. Each tray could use a sign with what that particular doughnut is to save time from having to ask. My husband asked what something was, and due to communication issues he ended up getting it with our other orders. The inside was a disaster. There was glaze goodness everywhere. The donuts definitely get messy, but every table was decorated in this messiness. Seemed like most people grabbed and ran, so guess that’s not a big deal overall. You do get an adorable mini doughnut bite with every order, which is awesome. And like I said… yum on the doughnut scale. Overall: A In some serious need of signage for what’s what inside. Grab and go with your doughnuts. Get doughnuts here. Yum!

My ham & cheese croissant craving is insatiable that it’s borderline disturbing. Lol Could it be a medical condition? Whatever it is, DK’s Donut’s only feeds into that problem. For $ 3.25, you’ll receive a well-sized, flaky, doughy, and tasty ham, cheese, and jalapeño croissant. I love how sweet and salty the ham is here. However, my complaint would be towards the proportions since it lacks the meatiness and cheesiness at each bite. I’d dare say that only a rolled, sliver of ham is provided. Although with this notion in mind, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again if I were in the area, but Seaside still reigns supreme. As for donuts, all the classic favorites are available and can be had at anytime since this establishment is open 24⁄7. They’re all $ 0.80 cents to $ 1 too. I can’t endorse them as having the best tasting though because my glazed donut and maple bar lacked the doughy and dense bite that I prefer. I also have a problem with their glaze which resembles the dissatisfying taste of artificial sweeteners. Perhaps it was a bad night, but I can’t say I’d run full-speed to grab these donuts again. A dozen can be had for $ 10. —- Conclusion: While the ham, cheese, and jalapeño croissants are worth a try, the donuts could use improvement. The owners are extremely nice though and gave me a free donut on my visit. I’ll be back to support and you should too! – Just make sure to bring cash. Extra Notes: –CASHONLY –ATM available inside with a $ 1.75 fee –open 24⁄7 –Drive thru available –Great service –Décor is similar to winchells –Seats inside and out –No restroom

I came here as stop #2 on a donut run, and thought it was just okay. I had visited Donuttery prior to stopping by here and thought it was much better. I walked out with a glazed donut with rainbow sprinkles, and thought the glaze had a really bizarre taste to it. Didn’t taste sweet or vanilla-y like most glazes, but had more of an artificial, sugary flavor to it — blegh. The lady working was nice though — she gave my friend and I each a couple complementary donut holes, which I appreciated. Also note that this place is cash only, so I had to go to a nearby 7 – 11 and get cash back(I think they have an ATM there as well but they probably charge you a fee for withdrawing money).
