I take my daughter there on a regular basis for gymnastic classes. It definately lacks any of the wow factors of other gyms. It kind of has a Rocky feel to it. Not sparking clean. Instead chalk dust is all over. It has a well used feeling with equipment that looks like it has been used for years. For me though I like it. It feels like a place where you go to learn your craft and nothing else is important. Instead of a nice neat trophy case, they have trophies all over the place. You practically trip over them as you walk in the front door. It makes me feel like they have the attitude that we are not here for the trophies we are here because we love gymnastics. My daughter loves it. She has build some strong bonds with coaches and other gymnists over the year we have been going. Cost is reasonable

Been here many times since 2005 for their open gym: Wednesday from 8pm-10pm for $ 5. It used to be super crowded with stunters(cheerleaders), trickers and bboys. But recently I went(Dec 2010) and it has been super empty. Only around 30 people showed up. That meant tons of room to do whatever you wanted. Also before closing the Chinese head coach came out and showed us how to properly spot for a backflip. He was very friendly and enthusiastic and was high fiving people after they did a flip. It was a very safe and self-esteem boosting atmosphere. I could see he was a very good coach. The price for open gym is still $ 5 and now they require you to show proof of insurance to get into the open gym night. That is probably why there aren’t many people there, they are turned away by needing proof of insurance. Some of the equipment is pretty dusty and some stuff smells like vinegar. The foam pit in the back is pretty dusty. But the gym is a regularly used for classes so what do you expect. The main plyo floor used to be this rough blue material. Now it is some type of gray carpet which is much better. There is a nice cold drinking fountain next to the mirrors. I really like this gym cause its cheap and close to where I work. And now that not many people show up I will be going more often. UPDATE: after coming here a bit more often on wed nights, i’d say I am impressed with this gym and gave it another star. I like that not many people show up, and when there are alot of people, they are all pretty friendly and I know most of them from UCI. And for the sound system they don’t allow you to plug in your mp3, you have to bring your own CD. I like that some nights they allow us to stay 30mins to 1 hour later than closing time, which is nice.

Wednesday night is when I went. I went to break and practice flips. Kinda crowded and smells like vinegar and ass. $ 5. They have the cheerleader section, bboy section, the crazy flipping guys section, and some gymnastic heads. They have a foam pit, springy floor, and some gymnastic stuff.
