Dr. Yoshii is fantastic! After countless doctors, it was Dr. Yoshii who finally diagnosed and solved a very difficult allergy situation. He spent tons of time with us, explained in great detail our situation and what it entailed, and served as a phenomenal resource. Can’t speak more highly of Dr. Yoshii.

There isn’t enough kind words to express my gratitude towards Dr. Yoshi and all of his staff. Everyone is very kind, patient and informative.
Dr. Yoshi really takes his time with his patients and explains everything thoroughly and in detail. I have received medical treatment when l have felt horrible and he quickly made me feel a lot better within a matter of days.
Dr. Yoshi is now my allergist and I am currently receiving immunotherapy from him. I am very grateful to Dr. Yoshi and his staff for being amazing!

I cannot express how AWESOME Dr. Yoshi and everyone in his office is. This summer, I had my first allergic reaction, (anaphylaxis) and had gone to an allergist that was over at Hoag. I didn’t like her approach and it just seemed like she was going to go through a GAZILLION tests and also mentioned on my first (and only) visit that I could be looking at an autoimmune disorder. (!!!) While that might have been a possibility, it seemed to me she was jumping the gun and that made me so nervous.
About 2 weeks later, I had another reaction, just hives this time… but still I was concerned and then was fine for 6 months, then had my 3^rd reaction. Hives again.
Needless to say, I was a nervous wreck and luckily was referred to Dr. Yoshi. From the second I arrived in his office, the staff made me feel comfortable and that decreased my anxiety. When Dr. Yoshi came into the room, he spent so much time, going over every detail of the 3 episodes and came to the common denominator. He is so knowledgable, friendly, calm, and the fact that he takes his time, shows he really cares about his patients and loves what he does.
I’m so happy to have found him and will continue to refer him to anyone I meet that needs a great allergist.

My daughter has Eosinophilic Esophagitis. It’s a rare and disorder, but it falls into the allergy/​asthma category. Our insurance had us see an allergist who was unfamiliar with this disease, but rather than say that, he did what little he knew how to do for her, and then said «Well, there’s nothing else I can do.» There is nothing more defeating then having a doctor give up on helping your kid.
Dr. Yoshii was recommended by a friend who’s child also has EoE, and even though our insurance doesn’t cover Dr. Yoshii her referral, the Unilocal reviews I had read on him, and our desire to help our daughter’s pain stop lead us to decide to pay to see him anyway. We are so glad we did!
He and his nurse practitioner asked us hundreds of questions, listened to the answers, and gave us great ideas on how to treat her. They suggested changes to her diet that have done wonders with other issues she suffers from, and have helped her allergies calm down.
I have felt like I had to plead our case with many doctors, having tried to convince them that she is in pain and sick (even with a biopsy diagnosis!), but Dr. Yoshii BELIEVED her that she hurts. They believed her that it’s not in her head, that she’s not making up the pain.
We will continue to see him, and pay for the visits, because having a Dr. who cares, and knows what he’s talking about it a blessing!
P. S. The office staff was super friendly, helpful, and extremely kind to my children!

I had a very negative experience with a receptionist at this office. I’m not usually one to complain; I pride myself on being a level-​headed, positive, reasonable person, but I was so frustrated and disappointed at how I was treated. The receptionist was confused, because my insurance says in Anthem’s system that it’s an EPO, and apparently they’ve had bad experiences with EPOs not being covered. I totally get that. Insurance is confusing, especially after the Affordable Care Act. I understand that the clinic may have had problems in the past with people who have genuine EPOs, and that the receptionist has probably been instructed to make sure the clinic is clear that they don’t take standard EPOs. She’s probably worked with unreasonable people before. I, however, was perfectly reasonable and it would have been very easy to help me. My EPO isn’t through Covered California, and it qualifies me for all doctors who accept PPOs in Anthem’s network. I verified with both the HR person at my work and with Anthem directly that I would be covered if I went to this office. I called and kindly explained this to the receptionist, but she still refused to run my insurance and give me and estimate of cost. I asked if my HR person could call and assure her that I’m covered. She said that the HR person could call and explain it until she’s «blue in the face,» but it wouldn’t change the situation. I asked the HR person to call anyway, and the receptionist proceeded to explain that she wasn’t able to look up my insurance (not true), and that my type of insurance is a «crap shoot» (her words — also not true — my work provides exceptional insurance, and it’s certainly not a Las Vegas casino game… I do not gamble with my health). All the receptionist had to do was call Anthem to verify. With the low level of service I received, I’m taking my money and my great insurance elsewhere. I’m concerned that she’ll ask me to pay out of pocket if I go in, and then I’d have to go through the hassle of having anthem reimburse me, when all it would take is a simple phone call for her to verify that what I told her is, indeed, the truth. I guess I’ll have to go another several days feeling yucky until I can get an appointment elsewhere.

Great office! Super friendly staff, got me in within the week and so far my allergy issues have been helped!

Loved every part of my visit from the assistants to the dr. Dr Yoshii found my daughters allergies through testing but not without a very thorough consultation to see what her symptoms were. After we were able to test and find what was causing her reactions, he gave us a packet of information to read on avoiding reactions and foods that may cause flare up of hives. He isn’t the type of doctor to prescribe medicene because you asked. His approach is to eliminate allergens where possible and turn to medicene only when those precautions have been met and have not worked. I was very happy all around. He is great with kids and ultimately seems to genuinely care about his patients and their well being. If I could give him ten stars. I would!

Dr. Yoshi & his staff are fantastic. Very patient & informative. He listens to you, then provides the proper treatment. I highly recommend him & his staff.

I went for a follow up appointment for my son and Dr. Yoshi is great! He sat with us for 40 minutes answering all my questions! As a first time mom I have a lot of questions and he is very patient! I cannot say enough about how great he is. His staff is also very friendly and will greet you when checking in. I only wish I could find a pediatrician as wonderful as him!!!
