This place is absolutely wonderful! My family and I love coming here for afternoon tea and lunch! Our favorite tea room closed and we were so glad to find The Drawing Room! We especially love the blueberry scones, the chicken salad and the egg salad sandwiches! Whenever we come we always get a pot of tea to share. The servers are always very kind and welcoming. I love the décor of the café and we always love looking through the art gallery and store.

So this is why the English people like tea! It was a small cute little place, with a handwritten menu on the board. You’ll be served by a courteous, and accommodating server who has the repertoire of scone and jam flavors memorized. It was my first time to have tea from tea leaves, and the difference was astounding! Orange cranberry scone The hint of orange when going through the crisp exterior and chewy interior makes this a winner in my book. Add cream or jam, and make it yummier! Blueberry scone I couldn’t really taste the blueberry on this one. Maybe because the blueberry got dry when bakes into the bread? It was dry compared with the orange one. Rose jam I didn’t think the taste of flowers would be appetizing(I am not a bee), but it was really tasty! The taste of rose was not overpowering, and it was sweet. I wish they sold this. Clotted cream Interesting. It was indeed hardened cream, but soft enough that it’s spreadable. I feel like it could be better, you know, it’s like the 2 kinds of whipped cream — one doesn’t taste like anything, the other tastes yummy. Ginger citrus peach(Peach orange ginger green tea) Oh yes! Fruity tea heaven. A bit sour by itself, but add some of their delectable honey, and it’s peachy orangy goodness. It didn’t taste like ginger, but the tea was warming(maybe from the ginger, maybe from the warm weather and warm tea) Silver tip tea Not a fan of this one. Tastes herbal, similar to that of a Chinese tea in restaurants.

Super cute place. Very nice ambience. Kinda feels like Alice in wonderland. They have delectable tea selections and the desserts are amazing I recommend the triple green tea. A raspberry scone and then a egg salad sandwich. Great place to go with friends on a date to catch up. It’s also byob for a cork fee.

Have Mercy! Continuing my quest for really awesome tea rooms and found The Drawing Room less than 2 miles north of Greenwich. When it comes to tea, I get giddy and happy and I simply can’t wait to drink! The Drawing Room is like your 2-in-1. A boutique in one separate space and The Tea Room in another-just feet away. Their boutique, is comprised of plush home décor accessories and a small selection of clothing for the family. I was little lost in the sauce with the layout, and quite honestly, I didn’t come here to shop for my home. Simply put, I came here for one thing only and was then led to The Drawing Room Café in a snap. The Drawing Room(Café) is a cute, picturesque Tea Room. Exterior has that antique turquoise-wood finish– just adding a cool and rustic energy that I love and directly beside The Drawing Room, is a refreshing-looking creek. Interior of the Café on the other hand, is light and beautifully airy, yet, with a soft and inviting energy. Lighting was delicate and gorgeous even at 3:45 in the afternoon. Service was top-notch as soon as I walked in. Tables are on the small side, but to me, that just adds to the whole cozy-intimate-cute eatery energy that I totally love. Now for the pièce de résistance… I went for the Vanilla Spiced Chai with cream, that was so smooth in taste along with a cranberry-orange scone(ok… So I didn’t go for my usual chocolate pastry, but when in a Tea Room, do like the Tea Sippers). I received my tea pot with my prize, my scone with my choice of Tea Rose jam. Damn it was delicious. To add on to the relaxed energy, French music was playing, but what I really heard(in my head) was ‘La Vie En Rose’. Totally beautiful and so unique.

Charming and cosy café and tea room for sweet tooths and breakfast goers. At the back of a deco and art gallery, the café offers delicious scones, teas, banana breads n breakfast in general. Capuccino, tea, 2 scones with the works(cream and jam), and a banana bread come up to about 28 $. Not cheap but a great treat!

I love this place. Especially after lunch time when the loud lunch goers are gone. You can just sit on a corner get some(Hot Momma) tea and have some peace and quiet. Food is great, I always try what ever specials their friendly waiters recite and its always been consistently great. A friend of mine loves the cucumber sandwiches, hmmm but I’m not into that. Overall its a really pretty place, good ambience, and great service. Only wish they’d extend their hours.

Had an amazing experience here over the weekend. Went for a quiet spot to get some reading and writing done. Kiana helped me, and was thoughtful, kind and had great suggestions. I tried the ginger scone with clotted cream with raspberry jam– it was delicious! The ginger scone had a subtle flavor, and the clotted cream was perfect! I had a café au lait and was pleasantly surprised at the serving size, well worth the price. This is a great café spot, the lunch menu looked awesome, will have to try that next time.

Such a beautiful place for a truly lovely afternoon tea! It’s a bit pricey($ 28 pp) but considering the location, the quality and the luxurious way everything is presented and served it is well worth it. My daughter and I enjoyed a sweet afternoon together in this beautiful place and I’ll be recommending it to others and coming back again soon. Treat yourself!

The Drawing Room is a super cute café that serves afternoon tea-style sandwiches and platters as well as the typical café fare. I really enjoyed the three-tiered afternoon tea set, which consisted of a scone, tuna, cucumber, and chicken salad finger sandwiches, and three different types of tarts. It was all delicious and I loved the cucumber sandwich so much that I ordered their regular portion sandwich as well! I had the Lapsong Souchong, which is my favorite tea because of the smokiness. All in all, I had a great first experience at The Drawing Room and the next time I am back in Connecticut, I will make it out again!

I love this place! The café is great. It is very cosy and I love the way it is set up. The service is very nice and the food is always really good. It tastes fresh and they always have something a little different on the menu. I also love there boutique… great design stuff, always changing and very inspiring. They also have a great selection of books. I am not a tea drinker so I can’t rate the tea, but the finger sandwiches are great!

When I come up to visit the folks, this is one of those places I can’t skip. Nothing is more comforting or luxurious to me than tea-time on a late lazy morning here at The Drawing Room. It’s a tiny little tea/coffee/sandwich/salad nook(that’s what it has to be called since it’s so cute and small) that is attached to an upscale tchotchke shop(even if a candle is $ 45 it’s still a tchotchke shop). Everything about this place is yummy. One of my favorites is the ginger scone. Just throw a dart at the menu and it’s good. The only draw-back at The Drawing Room(hahaha) is it’s size when it comes to little ones. A tiny baby should be fine. A child that can sit still is fine. But anything in– between and you may be looking for trouble. I have to say, I came in once for a latte before closing with my stroller and I think the person behind the bar almost had a stroke when she thought I might sit down with him. This is much more the place for 2 – 4 quiet ladies and gents. No more. I don’t even think they have tables that can fit more than 4. I don’t recall them having more than 4 tables, period. But sometimes that’s nice too.

I’ve held off for a long time to review this hidden gem. The word is clearly out so harm can’t be had but at this point it is important to review because it has stood the test of time. Anyone who has had hight tea knows the special status it deserves and in all of Fairfield County this spot is unique in that it delivers tea and scones but also does tea sandwiches and treats without all the fuss of The Ritz or Plaza. It is a great mother-daughter or friend for lunch spot and in the Spring the outdoor seating is a nice addition. I’d say leave time to shop if you’re going to try it out as there are options in they regard too.

Even though the food was good and I enjoyed my experience, I ultimately walked away disappointed. I ordered the Afternoon Tea service for 2 and it came to about $ 30 per person, which is highly overpriced for what you get. It just didn’t feel worth it. On top of that, service was extremely slow even though the tea service items are all pre-made. The tea took awhile to get to the table to begin with(luckily my black tea didn’t get over-steeped and bitter) and then, it was an additional wait for the food to come. I had the blueberry scone with rose petal jam, which was quite good. The rose petal jam has a strong floral taste and sweet like honey. The finger sandwiches were good too(each person gets 6 small sandwiches which works out to be maybe 1/1.5 full sandwich). The chicken salad sandwich was the best and the simple cucumber sandwich was enjoyable too. I thought the«dessert» portion of the tea service was a complete dud. If you do go here, I would recommend skipping the tea service and just ordering the items you want a-la carte.

In a land of outstanding restaurants and luxury vehicles and exclusive shops and million dollar views, there is something to be said for a place that’s simply… special. Tucked off of the Post Road, The Drawing Room offers the kind of bright, slow and cozy retreat that’s really quite rare. The space is extremely small and the menu barely fills a page, but I love the way the scent of tea mingles with the sweetness of the baked goods and the warmth of cheese grilling and bread toasting. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve overhead someone say«I’d love to open a place like this». Does it get any better? Well yes, it does! Attached to the lovely little dining area is a lovely little shop! So despite The Drawing Room’s modest setting and limited menu, it is surprisingly impressive. A hidden gem for sure.

You would think Fairfield County would have more high tea rooms. and in saying this.. About 1 ½ year ago I discovered this gem hidden away in cos cob, ct. I love the shabby chic décor in the seating/dining room and the little gallery. The scones are delicious and tastes wonderful with their wide array of teas to select from should you want a spot of tea and scones. If you are a little bit more hungry, you shall find their finger sandwiches and soup of the day are quite delightful.

This is a gem. There is nothing else like this in Greenwich and it’s surrounding areas. Perfect location for great food. If you like Interior design, this is even more so a place for you. It has just been renovated so it is so much more enjoyable. The owners have great chic taste. Anything from the soups, finger sandwiches, or some scones are delectable treats. If you’re ever in Cos Cob, CT and find yourself wandering around, take a step off the post road and have some tea :)
