I saw Dr. Hummeldorf at his Mission Valley office for consult and follow up but he removed my wisdom teeth at his Coronado office. So I’m leaving this review on both locations. All 3 visits and staff at both locations were phenomenal! I was referred to him by Dr. Brown in Santee & I couldn’t be happier!
My 2 bottom wisdom teeth first broke through my gums in 2011 but it never bothered me even to this day. However, Dr. Brown noticed one of them developing a slight infection & both of them had roots pretty much touching my nerve so she sent me to Dr. Hummeldorf. I went in for a consult & right away, I was greeted by a great front desk staff at the Mission Valley location. I was stuck between choosing general anesthesia & using laughing gas because I have high pain tolerance but I hear so much about how painful the procedure can be even if my teeth have already emerged through the gums. Dr. Hummeldorf was very patient answering my questions about both. I decided to just use the laughing gas. So about a week and a half later, I went to his Coronado office for the procedure. HE LITERALLY TOOK OUT BOTH TEETH WITHIN ONE SONG. He pressed play on Macklemore’s song «Growing Up» and was done with 40seconds left in the song! And what’s even greater is I had no problems afterwards. He even called me later that night to check up on me. I never had to take any kind of pain meds & the post-​op instructions were clear. I followed them word for word && today, at the follow up, he said the healing was looking great. Thank you, Dr. Hummeldorf & staff for a great experience! My family & friends say I have the best wisdom teeth extraction story ever

Phenomenal experience having four wisdom teeth removed. As a patient, all my anxiety about the procedure (I hate needles) were accounted for and I was given very professional services.

The staff here is friendly. They’re like a charming little family. I had to have a tooth pulled earlier this week, didn’t have insurance. Hummeldorf pulled it for a good price. They even squeezed me in on short notice. He was very careful to make it painless. I literally came out of getting my tooth pulled with a stupid smile on my face. The amount of care they gave was exceptional. They even sent me a get well card. I highly recommend their offices.

I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Hummeldorf and I was VERY impressed by him and his staff. The surgery itself was painless & I went into it well educated by him. I had no post op complications and the pain medication he prescribed was sufficient. His staff are friendly and very helpful. I would recommend Dr. Hummeldorf to my loved ones!
