Inland’s Best Home Improvements & Handyman Service was founded by Jon Portillo and is a licensed, bonded and insured company located in the Inland Empire. We are centrally located to be able to serve our customers in San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles counties. You’ll certainly find that our company offers its clients reliable, quality and affordable services.

Inland’s Best Home Improvements & Handyman Service was founded by Jon Portillo. Jon has always been very good with his hands. Through the years, Jon began working in the industry with handyman-​like jobs and progressed to renovating an entire home. It’s been a life-​long dream to obtain his contractors license and now that he has done so, he’s working day-​to-​day to ensure that each and every one of his clients is satisfied with his quality workmanship and reliable schedule, at reasonble rates.

Jon has over 10 years experience in the industry and has been a resident of Riverside County, California for over 10 years. Aside from work, Jon enjoys coaching soccer, riding his Indian motorcycle, fishing and dirt bike riding season.

These guys are awesome! Very meticulous, clean and professional… not to mention timely and responsive. Home improvements are usually such an inconvenience, but Jon and his crew made sure it was anything but. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends!

Terrible customer service, called to get estimate spoke to a lady and explained what needed to be repaired. Never received a call back with estimate. I guess they are so successful that they don’t need my business!

They use to be great… I’m not sure what happened. John and his crew
came to my house a few times for significant repairs and gave me great deals for having all the work done with them ie. beating an electrical quote when they were working on my ceiling at the same time.
But a year later I called for a quote with Johns wife, Jan. I got a sassy attitude through email for a quote I declined due to a way over priced quote. They are kinda messy too but they were down to earth folks.
Unfortunately, I won’t be using them again.

We have used this service a few times now and are always happy with the job done. Prompt, professional, and very understanding when we had an urgent request. Prices were great. We wouldn’t use anyone else! Don’t know what the other reviewers are talking about but we really like Inland’s Best Home Improvement & Handyman Service. I guess only people that are unhappy leave reviews. If happy customers would take the time to review, I’m sure there would be pages and pages of five stars!

I appreciate the fine job you did with the bathroom remodel for my mother’s house. The project was of very high quality, you were always on time and the final invoice was within the estimate you provided. The site was left very clean and all waste materials removed. I would have no hesitation in recommending you for other work!

My home warranty sent this company out to fix my garage door opener. I had to call them several time just to get them to scheudle an appointment. When the finally did arrive two days later, they did not have the parts or a new garage door opener with them as the said they would. They tried to start the job and completely busted the garage door opener that could have just been repaired. I can’t figure out if they were just completely incompetent or if they intentionally busted it so they could charge me more money. They also refused to give me receipt that I paid them for the service call despite numerous requests for one. To make matters worse, the woman (Janet) that I had to speak to is one of the most miserable and rude people that I have dealt with in my life. No wonder they consistently get just 1 star! If I could give them 0, I would.

Called and made appointment for fence repair estimate. Person with whom I spoke took the address and my cellphone number. She told me she would call me if there was any problem meeting. Not only was she a no show, but I’m still waiting for that call. So this is supposed to be «The Best Handyman» in the IE? I don’t think so! Frankly, I’m glad she didn’t show. At least I have knowledge prior to establishing a business arrangement. Good Luck with this one.

I was a sub-​contractor for these people. I got lied to, jerked around, payments went past due, and they did not hold up to the terms of our Contract Agreement. I was blamed for their incompetence and every thing was a catastrophe. Unprofessional, amateurish, and a waste of time. Rude, insulting, poor customer service and I will never work for them again.

I called for a quote on a few repairs and the person who answered wanted to give me a quote over the phone. When I asked for someone to come in and check it out she gave me a bit of an attitude. Bad customer service over the phone, not worth the hassle.
