G&M Honey

I was referred to G&M Honey to deal with a wasp nest interfering with repair of our condo’s 3^rd floor roof AC unit.
It was during a heat wave of the July 4^th holiday week and I was told the employees had been promised the week off and they could not come out until after the holiday weekend — unless I was willing to pay extra. It was a brutal heat wave and I couldn’t get the AC repaired until i dealt with the wasps. They asked for $ 350 which i reluctantly agreed to. It was extortion.
So, they came out and presumably exterminated the wasps.
I called the AC contractor who returned and the first thing he reported to me was that there was an active wasp nest. He showed me a snapshot taken on his Smartphone! He sprayed the wasp nest before proceeding with the service call (this was a different company than the one that initially reported the wasps). They charged me $ 41 for spraying the wasp nest that I had already paid G&M Honey $ 350 to exterminate.
I called and emailed G&M Honey several times requesting a refund. No effort was made to get back to me or rectify the situation.

Now and days it’s hard to find company’s that have integrity and are honest. I have been going through a Nightmare Flea infestation. Mike has been wonderful and is very knowledgable. Would highly recommend

Mike Heroll of G&M Honey removed a hive for us from a difficult spot inside a column in September. He arrived on time, did his magic, assured us that there would be some remaining, angry bees for a few days, which there were, and asked me to call if I had any questions later or if there were a problem. There wasn’t. The bees did exactly what he predicted.
Mike knows his bees and his business and, an added bonus, was less expensive and more available than others I’d called.
I highly recommend him.

I just discovered a swarm of thousands of bees in a tree in my yard – today is Saturday April 19, 2014 and its 4:20pm. I am highly allergic and my dogs are too. I called Mike and turns out he lives around the corner from me and is coming over in 30 minutes!!! So far I am absolutely impressed!!!
~~~~update — -1 hour from time of initial call and the Queen bee and 98% of the swarm is gone! Mike sent Cameron to take care of things and he was here in 15 minutes!!! I am over the top impressed with G&M Honey!!! If the few straggler bees are still here in 3 days they said to call them and they will come back out for FREE!!!

I came home on a Sunday afternoon to a swarm of bees going in/​out of a small hole in the side of my house. I was completely freaked and called at least 7 «bee people.» I talked to a handful of «bee-​people» but they just made me even more panicked. Then I got a call back from G&M Honey. She was so nice and said she made a special call to me b/​c I sounded upset on the phone.
She said she was going to send Mike out asap. He showed up with a co-​worker and checked the whole exterior of my home. Turns out the bees didn’t like my house and left. Whew! He charged me $ 50 which was a deal for peace of mind. He told me what holes I needed to cover and that I had nothing to worry about. Note that they do not give estimates so you can compare prices, etc. I suggest making sure you ask the owners about this. Still, great customer service!
If you need a «bee person,» call these people b/​c they’re experts!

Good communication throughout and also provided some useful education. Showed up on time and took care of the wasp problem.
Been two weeks now, they are all definitely dead.
Pleasant to work with and I would recommend them to anyone needing to get rid of wasps.

I called and talked to Mike about wanting to employ his exterminating services. He said he may have time at the end of his day to swing by and help me out with my house spider situation. 5:00 rolled around and I still didn’t hear from Mike. I called back and he told me he thought he would have time around 10:00 on Monday to come by. I waited, and waited, and waited– no call to confirm and he did not show up. So frustrating.

Mike, with G & M Honey was very knowledgeable and professional. He quickly dealt with our bee hive. Very reasonably priced.

I’m sorry for giving Mike this rating but he lied to me. I was looking up for a good pest control small business through Unilocal because I figured I rather support small business than the big corporate ones. I am a business owner myself and my building needed monthly maintenance spray. I searched through Unilocal,and since Mike had great reviews, I went ahead and gave him a call. He picked up the phone (which was great) and I was truly appreciative of that. I told him that he had great reviews and I even went ahead and congratulated him for the great reviews. I believe in great customer service and I thought he would provide that for me… smh… not at all. He took my name, my phone number and even my business name. I understand that he was busy at the time, so I waited for his call. Well 3 days has passed. yep, no phone call. I believe in the benefit of the doubt. I recognized that when someone is busy, he or she might just simply forgot. So I went ahead and gave Mike a call. He did pick up his phone and recognized my phone. I asked him what happened and he told me that he «called.» Well, I have receptionists picking up every single calls here. So I said ok, can you make it here. He said that he was busy and he will «call me back.» What Mike don’t know is that I have an extensive call log. I can search through my call log dating back two past months. Well, I took his excuse and gave him the benefit of the doubt and set up a time for him to come to my facility. He did the initial spray with his brother. They did great and we actually tipped them both 20 dollars each! Then, we signed a contract for them to come and do the monthly spray. And unfortunately, he didn’t hold his end of the bargain. I called him and left MULTIPLE voicemails. Still, No show and no call. It’s been three months, and we now found another reputable and unfortunately big corporate exterminating company. Again, I like to support small business but we need a dependable one… and G&M Honey is definitely not. Please stop lying, Mike. You can go ahead and rip up that contract we had. I don’t understand why bother signing a contract when you don’t even show up. Not even once. Very sad and disappointing.

Mike was so cool…
First off, he showed up on time (after responding qickly to my reply for help).
The job turned out to be much smaller than thought (my bad, LOL).
Once he evaluated the situation, he reduced his rate SUBSTANTIALLY, to which the amount was totally unacceptable to me! It was too low!!!
So I paid him a few bucks more, and he quickly, and professionally took care of my bee situation!
Great guy, very prompt, very professional, and HIGHLY recommendated…

These guys are great! We had a hive in the wall of our garage which we ignored for a few years because we didn’t want to call an exterminator for them (I happen to love bees). When the hive began to grow into other parts of the garage we had to find someone. Luckily we found G&M. They were very friendly, told me exactly what was going to happen to the bees, actually took the time after they removed the bees to teach me how to feed them, and collected all the damaged honeycomb/​hive, and gave the honey to me.

We had a swarm of honeybees settle in our yard yesterday. Found the number of George at G&M Honey on-​line through the Mount Diablo Beekeepers Association. He came out, captured the bees for relocation, let me know what to expect in the future and was very professional, helpful and friendly!

We had awesome service from them! We found what we thought was a new hive in the front yard tree and called G&M to find them a new home. Turns out it was a swarm, but they were starting to move in. G&M came within an hour, took the bees, and treated the hive that was started. Quick, efficient, and really friendly. Best of all, I can rest at night knowing that the bees are in great hands!

Great service. Got home this afternoon and found a note in my mailbox indicating a swarm of bees in my tree. Called G&M up and they said that they could be here in about an hour. They arrived, removed the swarm and even took the time to educate some of the neighborhood kids and adults about bees before they left. Really friendly and professional. I’d give them more than 5 stars if I could. Would recommend them highly.

These guys were great. Friendly, efficient, and the only ones that were able to get rid of an 18 month old bee hive. Highly recommended

When I realized that honey bees had moved into the wall over the bedroom closet, I was worried that getting rid of them would be a disaster. After doing some research, I realized that having beekeepers remove them was really the right way to go. After speaking to several people, I chose G & M Honey to do the job. They came in and worked quickly and neatly AND they were calm and professional. They completely removed the bees and the large amount of wax and honey that had been produced. I would highly recommend them and although I hope I never have this problem again, I will call them back if I do.

Just like these guys, I started keeping bees with my dad years ago. Great childhood memories, but I’d since forgotten most of the details.
My wife and I decided to put in a garden this year, and I wanted the incredible pollination benefits that bees provide. We put in a call to G&M Honey, and Mike and George came right out and set me up with my very own hive!
The garden is already producing even more than we’d hoped (at least twice as much as before), and we haven’t had any problems with the bees. Mike and George have since come out to check on the hive and help me adjust a few things, and they’ve been very helpful in answering my questions. I plan to have them come out again when it’s time for our first honey harvest. Highly recommended–
