Bath Concepts

We bought our house a few years and found the original receipts left by the owners for a bathroom remodel. The Alumax shower door was purchased from Bath Concepts so I called them when I need to replace some of the nylon inserts. I sent an email initially which he (Larry) responded to (which is great). When we spoke on the phone he agreed to call me on a Saturday and I’d drive over and we’d see if we could order the parts. When I didn’t hear from him that Saturday I called and he said he had forgotten (no problem). He said he made a note and would not forget the following Saturday. I never heard from him. That was a couple of months ago.
No one was rude as some reviews have indicated. It was just a waste of my time and follow through is important to me.
I also cannot recommend the Alumax doors. These nylon parts are the long skinny parts that act as seals to keep water inside the shower. But the doors are designed such that you cannot easily replace these parts which become moldy or lose their shape after 5 – 10 years. I removed what I could but had to sheer a magnet loose to access one. Another had a frozen screw and another could not be removed without considerable surgery.

These guys were great from Mitch the salesman to Joe who measured and Don and Justin who installed a frameless glass shower door in our condo in Rossmoor. Everyone involved was courteous, efficient and communicative — and the price was below other estimates!

My overall review for this company is 3 stars (updated from 1 star which is only based on customer service).
The product itself is great. The installers were professional and pleasant.
The rating would be higher but due to the lack of customer service from the office I can not give this place a 4 or 5. When investing in something for your home that is a bit pricey the whole package does make a difference.
If there are other companies out there that have the same product and better customer service go with that company.

This review is for customer service. Bath Concepts is the company my contractor works with.
They quoted a price more than what they charged my neighbor (we are in a townhome so pretty much bathroom sizes and bath are uniform). My husband signed the contract and after we learned we were charged more. Day of install they installers learned the glass cut out was an error! They told us it would be a week for them to return with the correct door.
Did I receive a call from the company apologizing for this ?? NO!
I told my contractor this was poor customer service on their end and they should at least offer a courtesy call to apologize (offer a discounted for the error would be nice but we all know that would not happen). After mentioning this to my contractor I get a call from Bath Concepts «hi, this is bath concepts — asked me to call you and explain what happened» was the first thing she said. So first off didn’t even say sorry along the lines of sorry for the inconvenience !!! Just said it was a mistake on the manufacturer and that they are covering the cost for the second trip of labor. EXCUSE me but no labor was done the first time! She seemed annoyed that she had to call me in the first place!
These doors are costly and customer service to show customer appreciation goes a long way.
Please seek a different company when spending that much money where a company will value your business!

These guys were great. They originally installed my clear glass shower stall and came back 10 years later and completely resealed the door and replace the sweep on the bottom. When they noticed that the tile was graduated the wrong way they installed a new metal sweep that would counteract that to avoid leaking on to my floor. $ 226 for the repair and all parts. Took them only about 30 mins to do it (2 guys) but worth it.

Bath Concepts provided and installed a new frameless shower door for a remodeled bathroom. They gave a fair quote, came out as scheduled to measure, and installed the door without a hitch. The door did have two defects, so they came out to evaluate it and without hesitation ordered a new door and installed it. We are very happy with the service.

I just had a shower enclosure installed for a customer and had a great experience with Bath Concepts. Larry Walker was my contact for the quote and they had the best price for a quality product. I didn’t get to meet the person who measured but spoke with him over the telephone and he was able to do the measurement and describe what he was going to put in the work order which came out exactly what we wanted and last, Dan and Justin did the installation. Both great guys, quick, clean, professional, polite and even helped us carry in some stuff that we were unloading for a chairty function, very nice guys.
Overall, great customer service, follow-​up, getting the order remotely from us, quick turnaround time, nice clean installation and best price without any games, just straight forward business. The Customers came home and just loved the enclosure.
We have worked with other Contractors and compaines, not all of them 4 or 5 stars; we didnt’ write about the less than stellar ones, just a couple that stood out from the rest.
Two thumbs up for Bath Concepts, we will certainly recommend them.

I contacted Bath Concepts for an estimate for a remodel, one custom shower door and panel and a standard 5′ tub shower combo. Larry quickly provided the estimate based on measurements I provided. Larry then came out to the house made some style suggestions and took the measurements. We agreed to a higher door for the shower/​tub combo so there is no need to duck when you get out of the tub. There was no additional cost and we set a date for the install. In two weeks the installers arrived on time and even called to update their arrival time. They were very personable and cleaned up after themselves. I would absolutley use Bath Concepts again. Great job…

Based on my own experience the customer service and call backs were consistent. Larry came out and measured my mirror wardrobe doors and was very professional and gave his opinion, actually helped me to change my mind on what i thought i wanted. I am very pleased with the end result and I would recommend them. I think you get good product, good customer service at a good price. Hard to find all 3 now days.

This review is still pending as I am currently right in the middle of the job. I will update progress as it happens but here some details to date:
— Customer service is great and they are very good at communicating status of the job. 5– stars.
— The quote they provided was accurate, the day and time window of installation they gave me was accurate and both the quoting team as well as the installers that arrived were extremely friendly and seemed knowledgeable. 5– stars
I am so far pleased, BUT
When the installers arrived, they discovered that the glass supplier/​maker made one of the pieces the wrong size. The installers were apologetic (though it was clearly not their fault) and informed me that the owner was going to put a rush on my job and would be in contact me that day for re-​scheduling. Though I did not receive that call the same day, I left a message, and was contacted the next day — I can live with that. However, the disappointment came when I was told it was going to be almost another 2 weeks before they could re-​schedule which leaves us without our master bath. That is as much lead time as was originally quoted and does not seem to be on a «rush job».
So overall I am pleased with Bath Concepts and I will update this overall rating after completion of my job, which I am hoping will be on (or hopefully BEFORE) my new quoted date. Stay tuned…

I agree with Jeff, the prices are ok but they lack customer service big time.
I found Larry and Beth to be very rude and unprofessional. It was a mistake getting doors installed from them.
Eg: I called bath concepts for a issue with a door they installed and left a VM for Larry. Since I missed his call, I called back and spoke to Beth asking her when would Larry be available (a window of time) to talk so, I can make myself available to call him during that time. She kept saying he is unavailable to take your call, I don’t know when he will be available, doesn’t provide his cell# (understandable) but what really PISSED me off was she wouldn’t answer my q’n of if he was in the office.
When I reported her behavior to Larry he was like «oh yeah I over heard the conversation, she repeated information 3 – 5 times, it is not her fault». When I told him that I will give an honest opinion in my review about my experience, he threatens that he can sue me for that.
5 mins later he calls me back and apologizes for what happened and claims that he reviewed my phone conversation with Beth and admits she shouldn’t have spoken to me the way she did.
Bottom line, I would NOT RECOMMEND getting any service from this company

There prices are OK. I have seen better, but they are EXTREMELY RUDE!!! WORST Customer service ever!!! I have already paid my deposit so i am stuck. If your gonna give someone your business, then you deserve to be treated with good customer service. Don’t waste your time with this company.

I’m very happy with Bath Concepts. I was looking for a double sliding shower door to be installed on my tub. After a string of contractors who didn’t call back and didn’t do what they said they would, Bath Concepts was professional, prompt, provided great service and a great product.

If you are looking for a clear glass shower/​tub enclosure look no further. Bath Concepts is the way to go. They are based in Concord. I am in San Francisco.
I found them online, sent them an email and pics, and they called me the next day. The estimator came out and explained my options. Today, the fellows doing the installation were friendly, professional, and did a quality installation. I also received instructions on maintenance. BC also warrants their doors for as long as you own your house. I am happy with the the look and it accents the bathroom very elegantly.

We just put in a new bathroom and my design ladies contracted with Bath Concepts for the shower door. I met them for the first time when the owner, Larry, came out to measure the space. He was extremely nice and discussed all my options. They scheduled the installation approx 10 days from the day the doors were ordered. Installation went fine. The door looked spectacular. Well, all was fine until we actually used the shower and noticed water was leaking out. When I called Bath Concepts, I was told, «well, we’re not surprised because the installation guys noted that the threshold was built with the slope going away from the shower instead of into the shower.» (I wish the bath concepts guys mentioned this to us before they installed the doors…). Well, long story short — Bath Concepts has been in constant contact with several suggestions on how to fix our problem without having our contractor rebuild the threshold. While our problem isn’t solved yet, we have been very impressed with Bath Concepts’ professionalism, service attitude and follow-​up. They’re completely standing by us, even though none of the water leakage had anything to do with their product or their installation. Now, our contractor on the other hand…
