Awful communication. They left doors sealed in the house, and no mention of whether or when the seals could be removed. They let pets outside, even after being alerted to not let pets out.
Poor service. Poor communication. Unfortunately, we will have to eliminate Moore Mechanical from future consideration in our remodel, since these bozos at alliance are their asbestos sub.

When we started a major home improvement project, we were caught off guard when the asbestos survey told us to do abatement. We quoted a couple of companies and were shocked by the price tag. Fortunately, our general contractor referred us to Alliance of Bay Area. Their manager Ed quickly came in and did the measurement. Their quote was much more competitive than what we had got. So we went ahead with them. Since the abatement intertwined with other parts of our project, Ed coordinated closely with our contractor on all kinds of details. We stopped by the house a couple of times during the abatement. The site was always professionally enclosed. Several days later we were informed that asbestos-​containing materials had already been removed and we could go ahead. We couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.

I don’t really understand the bad experiences people have posted on this company; our experience was very easy and straight-​forward. We had Alliance do a full asbestos duct removal and abatement of our Concord house and they had a crew of 4 up all the way from San Jose for about 5 or 6 hours. Then they had one guy make a second trip all the way up the next day for cleanup of the protective film they left. Considering the man-​hours invested plus the drive time for 4 trips makes it a very reasonable total bill. Especially when you consider they climbed all around the crawlspace with the spiders and mud, which is something I would be less than reluctant to do.
My initial estimate with Greg was very smooth and informative, and one week later the work was all done. A lot of service companies do a confirmation call or email the day before the crew is set to arrive, and I didn’t receive one to my knowledge. This may be what some other Unilocalers felt was lacking when they complained about communication. However, I as expecting them, and the price didn’t change from the estimate.
Overall my wife and I are very pleased with the service and glad that we will have all the required documentation on record for when the day comes that we need to sell.

I am so glad we decided to go with Alliance after we had a fire loss. They made they the whole process so much easier and less stressful for myself and my family. I would highly recommend them

They are working across the street in Encino, CA right now. One worker is rude and racist. He keeps making derogatory comments at women as they walk buy, speaking obscenities and making racist comments about foreign people. He needs to be removed immediately from his position and I fear he will get his butt kicked if he says the wrong thing to the wrong person right now. He should not be allowed to work with people in any way. He’s either just plain rude or on something — this is unprofessional and not right — he’s extremely loud right now. I have the address of the building he’s working at and his description — the company should have him removed ASAP!

I had a horrible experience. I will start with the positive. Jerome Black, the project manager at Azusa location was quick to respond with a bid of $ 24K+ to remove all asbestos on my house after a fire. Once hired, he increased the price claiming that he made a mistake on calculation the price. I negotiated to pay him an extra $ 2,050 making the job close to $ 27,000. When he finished the job he left the house completely unsecured by taking down the boarded panels on the house that had been used to secure the house after the fire. All the boards were left on the floors with the house completely open. When we asked him to put the boards up again he refused stating that it was not his job. He reluctantly put one up after a long dispute. Everyone that came to house to give me bids pointed out that he left two big asbestos pipes that should have been removed. When we asked Mr. Black to come back and remove it as it was part of the bid, he refused to do it unless we paid him another $ 1,000. He said that those pipes were not on his bid. As a homeowner we are not trained to know what is asbestos, so that is why we hired Alliance environmental to remove it all. He claimed that in the contract it states that they don’t guarantee that they will remove it all, however these two big pipes were obvious to all that it was asbestos, but I’m a single female homeowner who does not have any knowledge in this matter. He was also rude about it and said that he lost money on this job. I never asked him to lower his price when he have me his initial bid. After taking to contractors, they told me that I over paid by at least $ 10,000. In the end he refused to remove the asbestos pipe. Homeowners beware.

He was very prompt and responsive to my calls and emails to arrange a time for the work.
His communication is great, and he is extremely professional. Jenny is a great girl to work with too! Great people make work so much easier! The work was done impeccably. We couldn’t be more pleased.
We found him and his crew very detail orientated and they pay attention to the specifics to get the job done right. His price is competitive. He completed the work in time and excellent finish.

I am yet another very disappointed client.
The gist of the story is I am a renter and my landlord hired the company to remove mold from 1 wall in my living room (1000 sq ft. cottage).
I asked, via email and on the phone for the Ed the rep to explain exactly what was going to happen in my home. I even asked him if electricity was going to be used. I wanted every detail.
All he said is it is a 1 ½ day job (it was 5 hours) they would wipe down walls and do what needed to be done under the house.
I waited a long time so I could get a weekend slot. He said the job would be Sat & Sun. That was all he told me. As it turned out, they taped off my whole living room and expected me to run the huge fan all the way until Monday when a person was going to re test. I had no knowledge of any of this. I didn’t even have an appointment lined up on Monday. While they were here they tore apart my closet and left it for me to clean, their tape ripped off over a foot of paint on my wall and the workers left a mess in my toilet.
This could have gone so differently. Ed could have told me the full truth of what was going to happen. I would have scheduled on a late afternoon so the test could have been done the very next morning. Instead my son and I were shut off from half our home with a huge hot fan going for 3 full days.
This company gets a big F as for customer care.

Awful Awful Awful. Dave came out for an estimate and lead me to believe my asbestos abatement would be easy and hassle free. Boy was that wrong. FIrst, it took me 5 days to get ahold of Dave to schedule my abatement. He scheduled the wrong time for his crew to get here, luckily I could buzz them in remotely, but his crew didn’t come in, instead they said I refused entry. SO, they came back the next day. Did there thing and left around 1pm, no instructions about what to do or when they would be back to pick up their giant equipment or where my abatement stood. I continued to call Alliance to try and figure out a pick up time. They would never give me an actual time, instead showed up unannounced twice! Luckily, I was home the second time and already had their equipment removed from the house. Seriously, don’t do business with them. Also, they didn’t even complete the scope of work I originally asked for. SO AWFUL

This company, Alliance Environmental Group, was recommend to me by another and very reputable extermination company. DO NOT use this company, even though they are on Angie’s List. DO NOT use this company based on their recommendations on their website or in Unilocal!DO NOT Use this company because of their association with the Better Business Bureau.
This company cannot be trusted to communicate basic information between departments, adhere to their work schedule or send the appropriate number of people for the job. Marco cannot be trusted to communicate to other departments to get your job done.
Their customer service is so poor that I cannot believe they can still be in business. They, must not have any repeat customers. Bottom line for me, it took many calls and three scheduled appointments for them to get the job of hauling away a bed bug
Infested couch. They never even showed up for the first appointment –no call, no communication, nothing! Even their employ who came to do the work said that communication is very poor within the company.
I have contacted Angie’s List with complaints about this business.
Do yourself a favor and keep your peace of mind, look to another company to get the job done.

i’m a owner of a hvac company and i use alliance to remove all my customers air ducts that have asbestos. there price is reasonable comparing to pw stephens. now they are a ripp off. they do good work and never had a complain my customers.

Clearly you are not aware of what transpired at my home during the abatement. Since you were not at the site, I’m guessing that your employees lied to you (which should be of concern to you as the CEO) or you’re just trying to protect the integrity of your company by lying yourself. If your workers performed meticulous work, then you would not have so many reviewers making bad comments about your workers. As I explained, ALL register holes were open while the negative vacuum was running which is why there was no negative pressure. It’s like sucking on a straw with several holes on the straw instead of one. Re: the photo, I witnessed your worker go all the way inside pass the safe zone. I could not take a picture of him while he was inside since the plastic was cloudy and you can only make out the shape and would not be able to tell that the person had no hazmat gear. Re: refusal to let your workers in, I had to work the next day from 6 am — 8 pm. My husband was extremely tired from the ordeal & is on oxygen; since there was potential asbestos in the house, it’s not safe for him to enter our home. We were not about to let your workers go in the house without me present. Re: agreement to pay for the TEM test, Shaun, your VP, knew the cost of the TEM test and approved the aggressive TEM test to be performed by Titan. Shaun originally wanted a PCM test which was about $ 50 – 80 but does not specifically test for asbestos. Why would we even do this type of testing if it does not test for asbestos? It was unfortunate that we did not get Shaun’s agreement in writing. We trusted him and Alliance and thought he would keep his word. Re: bedrooms with asbestos, all the register boots had asbestos and all bedrooms have registers. You and your workers did not follow Bay Area Air Quality Regulation 11 Rule 2 Section 302 which includes having a foreman at the site.

Please do not use these guys, they are deceptive and dishonest. The short of it is that they will entrap you into working with them and then try to shake you down for more money. Read below for my full story:
I made an appointment with Alliance to remove some asbestos popcorn ceiling in my house. On the day of the appointment their workers show up and say they can’t do any work because the house needs to be completely empty, no furniture or anything. They never communicated this to me at all and i have a lot of furniture. When I called them about itthey just pointed to a vague one-​liner in their contract that said «internal contents must be moved» and fined me $ 125.
Nonetheless I didn’t make a big deal of it and worked out a plan with them to do the work in two phases, where I would move the furniture out of one half of the house to the other and they would to do the work in the half that was clear. And then vice versa for the other half of the house on a separate day.
Two weeks later, on the day before work on the first phase was to begin, they send me a text message saying they are going to charge me an additional $ 375 for the second phase of the job. I said no and cancelled the second phase of the job but went ahead with the first phase as I could not take any more delay in the work. I then found out that the $ 800 permit they pulled was non-​transferable and I would have to pay for a new one if I went with a different company. They entrapped me and left me with no good options.
So anyways, please avoid them, but if you do work with them please be prepared for them to raise their prices after you’re locked in to working with them.

This company has been calling me every week for the last three months pushing their services. I have repeatedly asked them to remove our name from their calling list but they never do. I have told them repeatedly that I will never employ them because of their intrusive and obnoxious calling but that doesn’t faze them. I don’t know how to make them go away.

Contracted them after the initial asbestos removal company we hired did a sloppy job. They did a great job, pointed out all the areas where work still needed to be done. We felt we were in good hands.
I recommend selecting them for asbestos removal, very knowledgeable, came the 1^st time on a Friday and re-​arrange their schedule to remove the asbestos ASAP. When they left our place was clean.

I have worked with Ed Work for 8 years. Alliance is a great company. I previously Recommended them when I was a consultant due to their flexibility, pricing, and their ability to perform heat treatments for mold and water.
I have more recently been working with Starr and Sabrina! They are both great, and help me get asbestos numbers to clients at great prices.

This company is dishonest, misleading, and completely lacks any sense of customer service whatsoever. I had an asbestos removal job done by them and they left me without running water or access to my bathroom WITH all my toiletries, medication, etc. with no notice. I came home to find that my bathroom had been cordoned off after 5 hours of work.
I called approximately 7 times and never received a call back from anyone. When they finally did call me they told me I was wrong and that he was right. Unreal.
I wouldn’t use this company again in a million years.

I called ALLIANCE ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP for asbestos removal. They set up an appointment for the estimator to check on the property. I drove 45 miles to the site, after waited for 30 minutes, no one shows up! I called the company. The operator transferred me to a voice mailbox but no one ever called me back.
I would never use this company again and would not recommend them. They wasted my time and didn’t have the courtesy to make a call.

Beware! They will try anyway they can to charge you extra. They won’t even guarantee their work was done correctly via a 3^rd party independent tester. How things have changed with them nice 2010!

I hired Alliance Environmental Group to remove asbestos popcorn ceiling from my condo and was very satisfied.
I got four estimates and David Mouser from Alliance gave me the best price. I was a little worried because of some of the negative reviews on here but I’m glad I went ahead with them anyway.
They did an excellent job. The workers showed up on time and carefully protected the walls with plastic and took all the usual «required by law» precautions. I told them that I would be finishing the ceiling next and they kindly left one coat of clean plastic taped to the wall, making it MUCH easier for the next crew of workers to do their job.
If I move to another home that requires this work or know of any friends needing this service, I will definitely recommend David Mouser of Alliance.

There are so few licensed asbestos removal and, when I first found alliance, I was pretty happy. When I first contacted with David, he was pretty quick to response, provide a quote and pleasant to work with. After I signed the contract and paid the deposit, David becomes a little harder to find and the job start date is delayed by a few days. I thought, maybe he is a little busy so it’s OK. Once the job started, it was supposed to finish within 2 days and it becomes 3 days. David called saying that another job has an emergency and he is pulling out his crew to fix that so the job will be delayed. It’s all fine I thought, stuff happens.
After it’s the job is complete, I enter the house and find the following surprises:
1). Master bedroom/​bath ceiling sheet rock are severely damaged by the water sprayed and scraping.
2). the water/​glue dripping on the wall was not cleaned up and ran down the wall. The wall is newly painted several month earlier. If it was cleaned up at that time, the whole interior does not need to be repainted. Now the whole interior needs new paint job.
3). Fragments of popcorn ceiling materials are sticking to the wall next to the down stair bath. Looks like someone may forgot to put up plastic containment in that area.
4). Promise of saving as much crown moulding as possible was not done. Not even one complete piece of crown moulding is left.
5). Most of the staples are left on the wall At that time, I was interviewing 3 different contractors for remodeling. All of them visited say that Alliance did a very poor job on pop corn ceiling removal. After I complained the above problems, David send a crew back to pull out most of the staples. The clean up crew still miss that one wall with possible asbestos contamination. I have negotiated with Ed and David for 2 weeks and they refuse to either fixes the damaged ceiling sheet rock or pay my contractor to fix it. They stated that it is part of the contract which I reread it, it does not say the popcorn ceiling removal will damage the sheet rock. I didn’t even bother to ask them to reimburse some of the repainting cost.
