Barclay Pipe Tobacco & Cigar opened for business at the Shops at Lane Ave in 1980, making us one of the oldest & most experienced tobacco stores in central Ohio. Due to the success of the Lane Ave store, a second location opened in 1996 at 2673 Federated Blvd, conveniently located near Sawmill Road at Interstate 270.

Both stores feature large walk-​in humidors carrying the most respected names in the cigar business. For the pipe smoker, we offer a selection of fine briar pipes in every price range. Barclay is well know for an extensive estate pipe selection and blended bulk tobaccos.

Both Barclay stores offer exceptional customer service and professional sales advice on cigars and pipe smoking… and smoking IS permitted in both stores.

Gary (one of the owners) is a great guy, and there are some great regulars that come in to smoke in the shop. They are getting some great brands I’m the store like under crown by liga privada. They always have a lot of pipes that is really a specialty of theirs

I’m new to the area and I have been visiting the local pipe shops. I dropped in on Barclay the other day and found what was a small but well stocked shop. There was a large cigar humidor, a few counters of premium brand pipes, a good deal of bulk tobacco, and a small group of locals hanging out and having a pipe. All in all, a very comfortable atmosphere.
I took a look around and an elderly lady behind the counter was very helpful and knew how to sell. Her and another gentleman asked me how they could help me and after a couple of questions about what type of tobacco I like, directed me to their Club Car blend. As the bulk tobacco was being measured the locals continued to chat. Though I wasn’t there long, this shop had a very nice atmosphere and welcomed it’s customers to do more than just buy something and be on their way.
The Club Car blend was wonderful and I’ll definitely be going back. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star review is that it was only my first visit. Once I see that what I experienced is everyday practice at Barclay, I very well may raise it to a 5. If your in the area, I’d definitely recommend dropping in.
