This place is affordable and efficient. The staff were great and our movers moved everything quickly and safely. They even dealt with a crazy mean neighbor at our old place with professionalism and were polite. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone planning to move!

I hired American Moving & Storage to move me into my new house this weekend and they did an amazing job starting from the initial quote until the last item was moved in! They were in and out in 2 hours (I had everything packed and ready for them) and not a scratch on any of my furnishings.
They are worth every cent and deserving of their 5-​star ratings! Don’t look anywhere else, hire American Moving.

Jeff Frank, the owner visited our apartment we were leaving, at my request. We have a couple of very large, valuable pieces of furniture and I wanted to ensure they would be able to safely move them. He provided a quick, accurate estimate and I signed immediately. The moving crew (Henry/​Bell/​Tony) rocked! Professional, quick, and great senses of humor which is good on a stressful moving day. Everything was moved correctly and without damage. They probably cost 10% or so more than the normal rank and file, but it more than pays for itself! If you ever used «normal» movers, you will appreciate this. No headaches. No regrets. Jeff and all of your team, thanks for a great move!

My girlfriend and I hired American Moving and Storage to move to a new apartment 5 miles from our old one in Dublin and so glad we did!
Jeff was pleasant to talk to and gave us a rate quote that beat everyone else we checked. Additionally, when we talked in more detail about what we were moving he was able to give us an expectation of how long it would take and it was right on.
On a hot July afternoon, Mike and Calib showed up near the beginning of the time window they gave us and worked diligently to get everything loaded. I have a glass desk and TV Stand and they carefully packed away the glass. The only glass I dealt with was small glass shelves in a curio cabinet. I also moved small electronics that I didn’t pack in boxes.
We made our way over to the new apartment and again, Mike and Calib got everything unloaded and even reassembled our bed and the desk and TV stand. I work in the IT field and internet access is really important for my job so while the move was taking place AT&T was out also getting us set up.
About the only snag we ran into was we forgot to tell Jeff how many closet boxes we needed when he called to confirm the move the day before and he didn’t ask. In the end it wasn’t a big deal, Mike suggested calling Jeff to see if he could bring us some; but with such a small drive to the new place it was easier to just put a trashbag over the clothes and loading them in clothes baskets.
I’m extremely satisfied with everything about the move; and will certainly call them again when its time to move from here to our next abode.
I paid for the move with a credit card and then tipped the guys with cash (plus water and a Klondike bar, did I mention it was hot that day?)

Excellent experience from first call to the end of the move. Estimate was spot on, everyone was courteous and polite, nothing damaged, and the price was great. Highly, highly recommend.

I hired this company for the most part on Unilocal reviews and other online resources for my latest move from one side of Cbus to another. Two weeks before moving I called and provided a general list of items to be moved and they provided a estimated quote and explanation of any other charges that might accrue with time and materials.
It initially was going to be a simple place to place move but as I prepared for it I realized I couldn’t do all the packing and preparation due to my health limitations so with one week to go I changed this to a Pack and Move. This was no problem and the company confirmed the amount of packing materials that would be needed and costs of those.
The evening before my Move, they called to confirm their appointment with me and called before arriving the next morning. Two hard working friendly gents, Henry and David introduced themselves and went to work packing my apartment up and moving everything to their truck in about 3 hours. I had still 4 rolls of packing tape left from my previous move which they gladly used first so I didn’t have to pay for tape this move.
20 minutes later we were across town and they quickly unloaded and set all my belongings in the places where I’ll be unpacking them over the next week or so. At this point everything was well packed and I’ve found absolutely no breakage or damage to any of my goods.
The sum up: Professional, Friendly and Fast. Everything they promised was delivered and then some. Was able to pay via Credit Card at the end of the move making this one of most amazing and effortless moves I have ever made in my life. I hopefully won’t be making another move in the near future but I know who I’ll be calling First…

I contemplated giving this company four stars, but when I really think about it, they’re deserving of all five stars.
The quote process was very simple and Jeff did a great job of getting everything set up and asking my husband the right questions regarding our move.
A kind of ‘meh’ moment was that we did not receive their confirmation call the day before. Not really sure what happened… Might have been a number transposed on their end, but we have no record of their call. I called that evening, but we had been so busy the day before with packing that they were already out of the office.
However, I left a message, and Oscar got right back to me on the dot the next morning around 8 a.m. to confirm that the movers were indeed coming and that they still had us scheduled.
The move went by pretty quickly and smoothly. Nothing damaged & virtually no stress at all. The guys were pretty funny and friendly.
Two and a half hours later… we were all moved in and the financial damage was very close to what they quoted us, so I can’t complain. We had an upstairs, and a basement that these guys had to take heavy furniture and appliances up and down, so this wasn’t an easy move for them, but they did it like nothing.
It’s seriously worth what you pay. Compared to others I saw within the area, the prices are actually really close, but you won’t have to worry about some scrawny guy dropping your furniture, or people just slamming your stuff down and breaking it.
The experience was overall very good. Hopefully, I will not have to move again for a very-​very long time, but should I require a moving company again, then I know who to call!

This company was recommended by a friend who used them for her move. When I called both Oscar and Jeff were very helpful with my quote and getting my move set up. The guys showed up on time ready to go which is much appreciated on moving day. Moving is incredibly stressful but the guys made my move painless. They were professional, efficient, and accommodating to our needs. We moved in the rain and they made sure not to make a mess of the carpet in either place. This was some of the best money I’ve spent in a while.

These guys saved us. We moved in the middle of a white out snow storm on Valentine’s day and Mike and Bill got the job done from start to finish in less than 7 hours. We had their 26 foot truck packed to the BRIM, wall to wall, floor to ceiling, front to back, and they still got the job done FAST. They didn’t waste a single second of time and were practically running the entire 6.5 hours. They were extremely nice, professional, and careful with our stuff. I literally tipped them with all the cash I could find in my wallet and would have given more if I had had it. They worked HARD for that money and didn’t complain once about the absolutely atrocious weather. I was terrified and stressed about the move but they made it painless. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

We were using ABF u-​Pack to move from California to Westerville and were in need of assistance getting the trailer unloaded. After much searching we took the chance to go with American Moving and Storage. Setting up move day with Jeff went quickly and he was knowledgeable about what we needed to have done. We scheduled for two movers and, even with ABF only able to give a window of arrival on the trailer, Jeff was willing to work with me on the arrival time. He followed up the day before the move and on the morning of the move too.
When his team arrived (Henry and Tony) it was all business for them and they worked there asses off for us. I had two other friends assisting with the smaller items that did not require the experience of Tony and Henry. Tony and Henry worked well with all of us working together to get the job done. Even though we had some tricky turns on the stairs they were able to quickly figure out what needed to be done to get the furniture to the places it needed to be. In one case they had to go around to the back of the condo through the snow to get the couch inside. Not only did the move get done quickly but it was done with no damage to the house or the household goods.
I highly recommend Jeff and his team for your move. They are true professionals and great businessmen.

We had Henry and Tony move three pieces of furniture within our home that we couldn’t move ourselves. They were prompt, courteous, and careful. We will definitely call when we need their services again.

This was my first time using a moving company. This company’s price range was slightly higher than some of the other moving companies I called. I went with them because they had great Unilocal reviews, zero complaints to the Better Business Bureau and zero complaints to the Ohio Attorney General’s Consumer Complaint office. Most of the other companies in the same price range could not say the same and I definitely got what I paid for.
Before the move, I spoke with Jeff who provided an accurate statement of the costs. On the day of the move, my movers Henry W. and Chris R. arrived on time. They worked hard and efficiently, which is great because I was paying by the hour. My biggest concern was moving my washer/​dryer because when it was installed, it literally took the crew 2.5 hours to get them in the tiny, awkward space and hooked up. Henry and Chris got them unhooked and removed in less than 30 minutes. It was such a relief! Then they hooked them back up in my new place. Also none of my stuff was damaged nor were the walls in either house damaged. They also made sure not to muddy the carpet even though it rained that morning. Overall, I was pleased with the service and have already recommended this company to a friend.

No one likes to move. I would question the sanity of anyone who said otherwise. I didn’t really have the spare cash, but with my life as hectic as it is, I decided it would be worth it to pay someone to assist with the process.
Unilocal to the rescue! Jeff reached out right away and was extremely courteous. We checked a date and he followed up the day before the move. The arrival time was at 8:30 AM.
Miraculously, as if they teleported, they showed up at 8:30 on the dot. They were professional and thorough. The two movers (Dennis and Bell) went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. My entire apartment was packed, loaded up, unloaded and set up in roughly 3 hours.
I hope I don’t have to move again, like… ever, but if I do, I will be giving these guys a call. Thank you!

Hired American Moving and Storage based on many of the reviews already posted and am happy I did. Price was very competitive and the movers worked extremely hard with good care of items. They were polite and professional. Can’t ask for more. They’ll absolutely be my movers of choice in the future.

I’ve moved at least forty times in the last decade. I’m a gypsy, sue me. Honestly, my move with this company was the best of all of my moves, by a lot. Set up for the move was easy. Dennis and his buddy showed up right on time, and moved me in a bionic sort of fashion. Unbelievably fast, zero damage. And the guys were fun and charming to boot! I am moving to Philly next month, and am so disappointed that this company only does local moves. So tough to find a decent company in this genre.

This place came highly recommended, which we all know is particularly appreciated when dealing with moving companies. My move was scheduled for tomorrow, yet over the weekend I ended up getting help from friends. This morning, it was on my list to call and cancel the move for tomorrow (there is no deposit or cancellation penalty), but before I got to that part of my to-​do list, I received a call from them. As the guy was telling me I’m all set for tomorrow, I thanked him for calling and said that my needs changed over the weekend and I needed to cancel, and that he was next on my list of calls. Not only did he tell me he didn’t appreciate my not calling him sooner, but he said, «how would you like it if we called you in the morning and told you we changed our minds and wouldn’t be moving you.» This gem of a man even told me that I was «negligent» in my behavior. Seriously?
As a business owner, I would never speak to a customer in such a way, even if the person were canceling a business transaction. Customer service, respect and decency should not be contingent upon a transaction.
What this fool didn’t know is that my entire business entails acquiring houses and moving people into them. Five people, from five separate houses, into each one of my homes. Guess how many of these people will need a moving referral. Guess how big I plan to continue growing my business. I actually WOULD HAVE felt a sense of obligation after having to cancel and this place WOULD HAVE been my first choice for me personally and my clients. If this is how my referrals will be treated, I can absolutely say I will refuse to do business with such a place.
Completely unacceptable behavior.

Yes, dealing with a hospice death over the weekend, and then on Monday morning trying to assist the family with many post-​death questions and action items was a higher priority than calling you. I’m sorry that I prioritized someone’s grief and suffering over my own personal moving needs.
Your being a sassy queen on the phone simply underscored that I made the correct decision in my priorities. Some of us save that side of ourselves for happy hour with friends; I welcome you to try it.

I cannot say enough about my moving experience this morning with American Moving and Storage. Joe and Henry were on time, sociable and courteous, and SO efficient and careful with my things. They were even nice enough to set my bed frame up and help me carry things to my car. Moving is the worst but I was all moved into my new place by 10 am and it was a stress free experience. I will never move without movers again and I will certainly be calling American Moving and Storage back!
