First off, this place is IN Richland Fashion Mall. It’s also hard to find in this barren wasteland because their website doesn’t tell you where in the mall they are, just that they’re on the second floor. In order to find them, you have to call.(Because one side of the mall does not connect with the other.) We had to call twice. And only found it after someone waved to us. Secondly, they don’t take credit cards. Really? It’s 2014. Get a card reader for your phone. We were told we could pay through a PayPal link that was emailed to a friend — a link that was not sent to everyone, or go downstairs to an ATM.(If I had to go down to an ATM, I would have walked out the door — why should it cost me more just to come to your business because you haven’t gotten with times and gotten a card reader?) Third, the people you pay aren’t the people that paint for you. They leave once they’ve gotten their money. Oh, also… if you need to use the bathroom, since you’re drinking wine while painting, you have to go downstairs INTHEMALL to the old abandoned food court and use the ones there. NOTHANKS. The girl who did the painting for us was very nice, and I’d give her 4 ½ stars. She’s just contracted by the owners to do the painting. As for the rest, epic customer service FAIL.

I’ve been back to Wine & Design 3 – 4 times now. Ryan is a great instructor. He’s lots of fun and the ladies love him. He starts every class off with a «social» so be sure to bring a drink! At the first class I went to there were snacks provided which I thought was really nice. Every other time I went there were not snacks provided but feel free to bring your own. You can pay with a credit card online when you register for the class which is what I’ve always done. I did have to use the restroom once and it was a complete nightmare. You do have to use the restrooms down in the old food court area on the first floor and it is not at all well maintained. Not a judgement on W&D — just a note. The exterior/hallway of the business hasn’t really been updated and isn’t exactly welcoming. The AC is also still not the best. They have fans in the room but it’s not what I would consider comfortable. As far as I know when they opened they were the only ones in Columbia doing what they do but now that there are many different options for your wining and designing/painting and pouring needs… I’m sure there’s somewhere better. They do have some discount nights though! Only $ 20 instead of their normal $ 35. Just check their website for upcoming classes.
