Grapes & Gallery combines art entertainment and a wine bar in a relaxing atmosphere in the Main St. area of downtown Columbia. You are invited to enjoy wines by the glass/​bottle and craft beer in our upstairs bar area or downstairs lounge. You may also sign up for one of our nightly, artist-​led painting sessions in the painting studio or choose to paint on your own (Do Your Own Thing) during business hours. We deliver a premium wine and art experience that is accessible to everyone.

We still paint! As a painter you will enjoy a stand alone, professional easel on which you can Explore Your Inner Artist®. We provide all of the painting materials, instruction and encouragement to ensure that you leave with a painting that you can be proud of whether it’s your first time painting or you are a seasoned pro.

The wine bar features a variety of wines from around world, craft beer, and several small plates.

History

Established in 2011.

Grapes & Gallery was founded in 2011 with the goal of bringing art entertainment to Columbia. After all, what is more entertaining than enjoying wine with friends while painting?

Our guests enjoy a premium paint and sip experience with stand alone, professional easels, a spacious art studio, appealing paintings and skilled instruction in a relaxed environment. The atmosphere is suited for individuals and groups of all types, including birthday and bachelorette parties, business gatherings, church groups and your friends.

In 2014, the Grapes joined the Gallery with the opening of a wine bar featuring wines by the glass/​bottle and craft beer. With the addition of the wine bar, the initial vision of Grapes & Gallery came full circle — wine and art appreciation in the same venue. Whether you want to paint or not, you can enjoy wine and small plates in the upstairs bar area or downstairs lounge.

Meet the Business Owner

Anna R.

Business Owner

Anna opened Grapes & Gallery in 2011. As someone with an appreciation for both wine and art, she was inspired by the paint and sip trend that was taking root in other parts of the country. With that in mind, she set out to create a location where people could learn about and experience both wine and painting in a relaxed environment. Her vision was to give guests the opportunity and freedom to explore their inner artists.

After building the business around artist-​led painting sessions, Anna introduced a wine bar to complement the existing offering and to complete her vision.

She is a hands-​on business owner. If you visit Grapes and Gallery, you are likely to see her pumping paint, teaching a painting session, painting on her own, working behind the wine bar, or offering a greeting as you come in the door. Anna really enjoys meeting new people and hosting them as they relax, paint and enjoy a drink.
