Art On A String is a stunning collection of some of the most beautiful and complex kites on the face of the planet. It spans the globe focusing heavily on Asia with kites from Japan, North Korea, China, Malaysia, Thailand, etc. It touched buttons for love of aviation, innovation and art. We ended up staying far longer than intended as the exhibit is very comprehensive. It made me reflect on the 1970’s in San Francisco when our school launched one of the largest box kites in history at the time. Yet these are complex little (to giant) treasures, hand made, unique, some have whistles and bells (literally) and some even have real feathers.
Must see exhibit.
