Went there on a Sunday in the early evening and sat at the bar. Food was not very good but the worst part was the bartender. Dresses in tights and a sweat shirt(not a good choice for her) she spent more time talking, entertaining her friends and texting than servicing the patrons. Had to continually ask for service. Bar supervision is lacking.

Great priced pub food. Wouldn’t be my first choice for a salad, but hands down the best French onion soup I’ve ever had. Tons of seating, have never had to wait for a table. Staff is friendly.

We tried them again… still the same as the last review. I think we are pretty much done w/Riley & Jakes, they’ve lost it. There had to be a change in the kitchen — that’s all I can think of because the overall quality has gone down. Ok for a cocktail but not dinner.

Food is great! Loved the pulled pork sandwich. The staff is super friendly. Out door patio and bar is awesome with great live music… Nothing like it around. Highly recommend.

Went there Saturday night 8−15−15 about 4:30 figuring we would beat the dinner rush. The place was still pretty crowed but we were immediately seated in the dining room in the back overlooking the backyard and parking. It’s a pretty cool room. It was way too hot to eat outside although that area looked cool. We ordered the buffalo perogues(sp) as an app and a few beers. My wife loved them. I thought they were so so. My wife had the sirloin tips with mushrooms, my daughter had the fish tacos and I had a salad with chicken. All where very good and we will be back.

Waited an hour and a half for a hockey puck they call a burger. Didn’t even have taste. This is my second bad experience in a row, I’m done here

Adore this place! The food is awesome, the drinks are good and it’s a comfortable atmosphere. I LOVE the burgers, the pasta dishes are great too. The sausage soup is almost like a gumbo and delicious. It needs some updating with the décor, but it’s really delicious!!!

This place is not worth the hassle at all. Food was horrible for the price. Service was crap too. Waitress and manager were more worried about money and other stuff then waiting on the customers in the dining room. We had to wait 15 minutes or more for the waitress Jennifer to come to the table after finishing our meal. Worst restaurant experience I’ve had!

Riley & Jake’s is located right on Route 31 just north of downtown Clinton. It’s where the old Sunset Inn used to be located. Not sure what year they closed down but I’m pretty sure Riley & Jake’s has been the only place since. We came on a Saturday night and the place was not too packed. We were seated immediately but they did seem to get busier as we were leaving. The menu isn’t very large. Apps, salads, sandwiches, burgers and entrees. For our apps, we had the Bavarian pretzels and an order of the hot wings. I did like the pretzels but not as much as everyone else at the table(I feel slightly guilty admitting this but I love TGI Friday’s pretzel appetizer). I think part of the reason I wasn’t that big on the pretzels was because they were served with mustard and not a cheese dipping sauce. I’m a sucker for cheese with pretzels. Don’t get me wrong, they were good. The waitress really sold us on the wings and they were solid. I’d give them a nice C+/B– grade. Not as good as she made them out to be but still solid. I am a bit of a wing snob so take that with a grain of salt. I’ll bet you’ve never heard that — a wing snob. They weren’t breaded the way I like them and could have used a bit more of a kick. They were served with pretty standard blue cheese but they did give you a lot of celery which is always nice to dip. For my meal, I had the Cajun chicken salad. It was a decent size, had a fair amount of chicken but it was a bit on the bland side. It was pretty uninspired. It could have used some other ingredients. It was also served with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing which is actually a bit odd for a Cajun chicken salad. It probably would have been better with some sort of spicy ranch or avocado vinaigrette but they didn’t serve anything like that. I’d probably stick to sandwiches and burgers at a place like this. I thought it was decent. For the area, you probably aren’t going to do too much better. They had a few interesting drafts on tap, including Long Trail IPA which was very good. The prices were pretty standard and the service was solid. The manager was also very accommodating with our party which was nice. I’d have no problem returning but I’m not rushing back.

Last June, my new wife and I were on our honeymoon, traveling north through New Jersey. It was Sunday and nothing was really even open except for Riley & Jakes. I couldn’t actually comment as to the food, since we were denied service. My wife and I are both decorated veterans and she has a service dog. Even after calling ahead and receiving no indication that it would be a problem, we were not only denied entry inside, but to the patio as well. It’s actually more embarrassing that it sounds to have to publicly educate ignorant middle aged food service employees in New Jersey as to the ins and outs of the Americans With Disabilities Act and how it applies to granting access to public establishments. So we stocked up on junk food and high tailed it to MA.

Food is ok, service is good, the salon could use a good overhaul since the décor and atmosphere are from the 80’s. Haven’t been in the summer time yet, so can’t comment on their patio. Pretzel burger and pasta were tasty, not a great selection of beers. Prices are ok. Overall, a decent joint.

Better than a few of the other places but overall not super impressive as far as food is concerned. However, the service Is pretty great and the environment is great when you’re looking for just your local hang out.

We were driving back from wine tasting in the area when the husband suggested we grab a bite to eat. This is a cute local family restaurant and bar. The bar area was packed as it was a football Sunday. We sat in the restaurant area, no view of the TV’s here but that was ok. We had a few drinks and dinner. The husband had a turkey burger which he loved. My sandwhich The Rush Hour was too bready and was just ok. The bill was slightly higher than expected but this was a nice place with good service.

Riley and Jake’s continues to impress. With a fresh menu, new items, and a clean comfortable dining room this is the best casual bar restaurant in the area. The wings and burgers remain a favorite and oy always recommend the pretzel Burger… This visit we started with the spinach artichoke dip and the ahi tuna salad. The dip was served bubbling hot. Delicious flavors and cheesy beyond… The ahi tuna was fresh, chilled and refreshing. With peanuts mandarin oranges and a few other add ins this is a great salad. For dinner we had the chicken, goat cheese salad with spinach, craisins and goodness! But the highlight was the Mac n cheese. Hot cheesy with shrimp and sausage this is a mac n cheese you will remember!

We discovered this place recently following a birding trip to Spruce Run. We’ve returned twice and really like the place. Good burgers, chicken fingers, pulled pork. Good brews. The service is just fine. An amusing anecdote though. On two occasions we have been seated next to truly obnoxiously, overloud people. You know the type. People who feel their lives are so fascinating that everyone in the vicinity must learn of their exploits. The first person felt that she was lawyer of the century regaling her companion with landlord tenant stories. The next loudly told her dining companion how she made her husband clean the toilet! Great. But I digress. We really like this spot and will be back.

I will follow the trend of a previous review I saw and say I eat here all the time. If I didn’t enjoy the menu or the atmosphere I would go else where. The food is awesome to say the least. From wings to burgers to pasta you cannot go wrong. I will have to say the Pretzel Burger is my honest favorite. However, I’ve gotten the ribs and other specials and they were worth straying from the usual. If you are looking for a restaurant with friendly staff, a diverse menu and a decent beer selection try this place out. Ohhh not to mention they have a great outdoor patio that is like an oasis! The restaurant is on route 31 and you would not know it when sitting outside.
