Rocy start with slow service and appeared to be a little disorganized. But, now, they are rocking it. The burgers are great and the fried are amazing. We love it!

Just had a burger with mushrooms and swiss. If you remember the same from McDonalds this is not even close.
At least if they did not use those cheap buns it might be more «gourmet»

There are better places to get a burger for the price charged. One should not have to pick the grizzle out of a $ 6 – 7 burger. I can get all the grizzle I want at a fast food joint. I’d take a ride to Jake’s in Flemington or The Committed Pig in Morristown, or Pearly Baker’s in Easton (grass fed burgers) sorry Scotty, you need to step up your game, this is Clinton!

Clean and simple décor. Friendly staff. The burger patties are small, but good. Similar to Five Guys, but with some unique signature burgers. The fries great, served as «one size fits all,» for $ 3.50. Which really means «one size fits all (except if you are the only one getting fries, in which case, we give you way too many).» I don’t want to eat 3 pounds of fries. Charge me less and give me less. Why force me to buy the super size?
A single cheeseburger, fries, and a drink will run you around $ 15. Adding sauteed mushrooms, onions, and dipping sauces for the fries, and you are looking at $ 17 for lunch.
Pro tip — Wait times are rather long. If you plan on eating here on your lunch break, make sure to call in your order ahead of time.

From the delicious burgers, to the extremely FOH friendly staff, I can give nothing but praise to this new Clinton establishment.
Walking in, the wife and I were greeted extremely warmly by the cashier, a very pleasant young woman, who rang up our order and also brought us our food. This place doesn’t have «servers» per se, but a FOH staff that brings out your food, sort of like how Sonic does it (minus the rollerblades).
We have been here twice so far and it has been absolute delightful. Clinton needed a place where you can pop in, fill up, and pop out without having to sit down and deal with waiters or waiting for a check at the end of the meal.
From the pleasant staff (thank you ladies!), to the delicious burgers, to the scrumptious chocolate shakes, Scotty’s is where it’s at.

Overpriced… under good. Find a Five Guys and go there instead. Location is promising, but that is all.

The fries are out of this world and the milkshakes are tasty too. I really like the fact there are specialty milkshakes listed on the chalkboard, in addition to the standard menu. The milkshakes are extremely thick so I let it sit a bit before I sip on it. I’ve only tried the signature seasoned burger so far, which was perfectly spiced and I’m looking forward to trying the rest.
The décor, like most of Clinton, is very shore-​like. I really like the bright, clean look. Orders do seem to take a while to process, so my only comment would be to add some music for customers to relax too while they wait. :)

I went for lunch, pretty decent crowd on a weekday for Clinton.
The girl who took my order was a bit frosty, she should probably work on her demeanor. If I was the owner I wouldn’t be too pleased with the vibe she was putting out there to the customer. There was another girl there who took over about half way through my meal, and I noticed that she was much friendlier and she really did a great job.
My food was delicious. I got the signature burger with cheese, and an order of fries. Everything was fresh, and all of my toppings were in good proportions and fresh as well. Fries were good, although the serving size is way too much for one person, which is always a pet peeve for me. Charge me a little less, and give me a little less, or offer a smaller size. I get the reason it is this way though, so it’s fine.
My only few complaints would seem trivial, but easy to fix. First is the drink selection. When I was there, there was about 12 different types of generic canned soda. Now, I’m already eating outside the calorie comfort zone, so washing it down with a sugary soda is the last thing I want. So I really feel strongly that there should be more options (ice tea, seltzer, more than one diet soda option, or even just something interesting that is as carefully curated as the rest of the food there. The other thing that I found slightly annoying was the lack of indication anywhere on what kind of cheese is offered. Myself and the two people behind me asked for Swiss. The response (from the frosty counter girl) was «We don’t have swiss.» Well what do you have? Are you going to tell me? I was really annoyed by this, but only because I feel it is such a big oversight. Admittedly it had little effect on my visit or my experience, but as I sat there watching people ordering cheese that they don’t have, or asking what kind do you have, or BOTH? It did make me a bit annoyed. The other thing that was odd was that there was no music in the eating area, but pretty loud music in the kitchen. This meant that the kitchen staff was talking louder than normal, which meant I got muffled music and loud kitchen chatter. I could literally hear everything word for word. Again, I was fine, but something that ownership might want to consider. Some acoustic treatments would also help the very loud dining area (this has been a problem for all past tenants in this spot).
Overall I think they are on a good path, because the most important part is the food, and that seems on point to me. I’ll definitely go back and recommend it to friends. Good Luck guys, Clinton has a need for what you are offering.

I’m always excited for new restaurants setting up shop in Clinton so we gave this one a shot. From their prices, Scotty G’s seems to be jumping on the Gourmet Burger Bandwagon that’s been growing in popularity. I had high hopes but my burger was dry. This may have been attributed to the fact that I ordered Cajun burger with andouille sausage but at the same time it did not really strike me as a $ 10 burger. The rolls felt/​tasted like they were purchased from Costco and my pattie was «grizzlier» than I like… again this could be due to my burger selection. I enjoyed the fries however my wife felt they were too salty. Also, what’s up with the pizzeria style soda fridge? A place priced like this should at LEAST have a soda fountain.
To the owner, HERE’S A TIP: Install the soda fountain and sell some of the cool craft sodas that are growing in popularity. Be different. Be creative. This is Clinton.
Lastly the swinging cantina style door for the kitchen SLAMS every other time someone walks through it… after a few times and it really begins to grind on your nerves when you’re trying to have a conversation or enjoy your food.
Ok, I know that it’s poor taste to promote another restaurant in a Unilocal review but I feel that ALL up-​and-​coming burger restaurants can learn more than a thing or two from this new burger place in Morristown called the «Committed Pig». They’re an example of a burger place doing it RIGHT.

Overall I’m happy that there’s a place in town to grab a quick bite to eat. Seems a little pricey for the atmosphere and size of the portions. This was my second visit to the restaurant and the staff seems a little disorganized. If you decide to eat outback don’t sit at the right two tables. They back up to the garbage dumpster.!! The smell is horrible and the flies are abundant.

Very pleasing and needed addition to Clinton. Burgers were damn tasty and appreciate the blends of meats that are available.

As one who grew up in this area, moved away, then returned home again, this was a refreshing change of pace. In a tiny town that has multiple pizzarias and coffee shops, if the only burger joint is McDonald’s, there’s a problem. Fortunately, this place fit the missing niche perfectly.
Burgers were moist and juicy, nice range of seasonings (highly recommend the cajun burger with the andouille sausage ground right into the burger patty), good fries and excellent dipping sauces. The shakes are nice and thick. Have yet to try the salad, chicken or hot dogs.
The prices are a touch on the high side, but with the exceedingly high rent in downtown Clinton, I can give them a slight pass on that. Also, it would be helpful if they put their hours out front of the restaurant. The road that they’re on is not heavily traveled by pedestrians, so making people wonder when they’re open isn’t ideal.
For those who are looking for picture perfect burgers that are worthy of posting onto your social media of choice, this place is not for you. It’s a simple, no frills place. Personally, I really don’t care what the burger or restaurant looks like, as long as it’s good… and it is. I really really hope this place takes off, it’s a nice change of pace from what’s usually in downtown Clinton. Highly recommend.

Still like the burgers and they are the best you will find in the area. However I did note they
increased the price for the cheeseburger. Single hamburger is $ 5 with cheese it is $ 6.50
It is a $ 1.50 for a single slice of cheese. That is crazy, a buck fifty for a slice of cheese!
The service has getting better although this time my order was messed up and had to get it corrected. Still working out the kinks I guess. In site of it all I would recommend a visit.

Here’s what makes Scotty G’s a great new place for Clinton:
1. It’s not another creepy antique shop
2. It’s not another misplaced clothing store
3. It’s not another coffeeshop
4. It’s not another real-​estate /​accounting /​law firm
5. It’s not closed and up for rent
6. The owner actually seems to give a crap (though time will test this)
7. It serves the kind of food that simple, red-​blooded people want to eat
By the way, the burgers, fries and shakes were pretty darn good, just make sure you get everything smothered in cheese.
Did it blow my mind? No, but I’ll take what I can get in a tiny town mostly full of empty, useless store fronts that close by 4:30pm. For what it is, it does just fine: a little joint that makes it easy to stuff your face full of good ol’ junk food. Nice to have a local place to get something casual to eat that’s open during hours when working folks are not at the office. Critics can say what they may, but bear in mind that if these guys leave town, you know what’s going to pop up in it’s place… see above #1−5.

Delivered as promised. Tasty, moist, flavorful burger served promptly by pleasant staff.
Fries were fine, but not crisp. Five Guys fries are missing something similar to what could make the fries better here. I’m just not sure exactly what it is.
Bright, pleasant, basic décor. Totally works for me to grab a burger.
Some staff was new and I got pickled onions (small additional cost) instead of the raw (free onions) I ordered. No biggie. I’d also prefer a toasted roll.
Didn’t get to try a shake or hot dog. But, 4 stars are within reach here with a couple of improvements and exploring the other parts of the simple, focussed menu.

Mediocre at best.. Thanks to this place we can see metrics on how dollar size burgers that are barely put together do in a busy single main Street. The taste of the cheese burger was nothing to brag about unless you have never had a Burger before or if you just converted from vegetarianism. $ 6.50 for a cheese burger that isn’t put together showed me that they really don’t care. Made to order at a burger joint that makes only burgers should not have me wait 10 to 15 minutes for this.

We ate dinner here during their first week and we loved the experience. I read some of the early reviews regarding wait times and service and we didn’t experience any problems; in fact, everything was extremely smooth. To be blunt, if you go to a restaurant during their opening week, you should expect some speed bumps. I think it is unfair to ding a restaurant during the first week. Everyone working there was super helpful and very happy to be there.
Before I get to the food (which is awesome), the atmosphere is fun and casual. There are picnic tables and seating inside and out. We loved it — basically recreating a backyard BBQ. You go up to the counter to order your food, get your number, and have a seat with your drinks. When your food is ready, it is brought to your table.
Regarding the drinks, the place is BYOB (wine and beer). So if you are an adult, bring BEER. Seriously, bring BEER. They have coke products and other bottles of soda and water, but if you are an adult bring and enjoy adult beverages. After we ate dinner we all had milkshakes — they were just the right thickness and tasted great.
We were surprised how cost effective the food was here. I would have thought the prices would be a lot higher for burgers and dogs. Plus, you can add toppings and it’s the same price for any of their burgers. Four of us ordered 4 double cheese burgers, a chili hot dog, chili fries, fries, and 4 drinks and the entire price was under $ 50.
Now onto the food — it’s awesome. The burgers are a good size so if you want to eat light, you can get a single and it will fill you up (I went double) especially if you get their fries. The fries are large enough to share with another person. I got the signature seasoned burger which had great flavor and just a little heat at the end. A lot of items look they are spicy but far from it. They all just have a tiny bit of heat just to let you know it’s not your average burger seasoning. I also got a chile hot dog, not because I was hungry but because I wanted to try two items. The chili was very tasty and the dog was smothered in it.
Scotty G’s is the best burger and hot dog spot in the area. It’s BYOB and you can get a lot of different burgers to give you a lot of variety. Bring your beer, sit back, and enjoy a tasty burger. We’ll be back — and so should you.

The Mexicana burger was awesome. Just the right amount of heat. Their milk shakes were unbelievably good too — the chocolate shake was awesome.

I got a Signature Seasoned double cheeseburger and fries with the garlic basil aioli sauce. Burger tasted good as well as the fries and sauce. If it was just for the food I’d give it at least a ⁴⁄₅.
The place has a nice modern feel, but keeps it very casual. The menu is easy to see and pricing and ordering is simple, however there are a lot of small details that could be improved on. For example I got a bottled soda, but there was no bottle opener at the table and when my food was brought out the waiter had to go get one for me, which ended up being attached to someone’s personal keys. We were also there for almost an hour because my friend’s order got lost.
Overall the visit was okay, but the restaurant lacked the polish I would expect. However everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful, and hopefully the little things will be fixed soon.

First night was pretty rough. Waited more than 90 minutes for 4 burgers. Obviously hasn’t ever worked at a real burger place. Maybe in a month if they’re still open it will be better. Good luck.
