Good consistent food… fries are always crispy and hot. Great omelets, big portions. Staff is very friendly, fast with refills, and great to the kids.

I don’t understand the line? The wait staff was very friendly but the food was painful bland. Nothing special here but the thing that makes this restaurant a big –10…I drank half my coffee and when I looked in the mug it had a gob of some brown gunk stuck to the side. YUCK! The scalding coffee didn’t even melt it off. I’m still grossed out.

No complaints here. I enjoyed the lasagna and my girlfriend says their blueberry pancakes are good. Although the parking lot is packed, we were seated in just minutes. Our waitress was very attentive. I like the atmosphere as well. Will definitely come back with more people.

Breakfast in this restaurant is very good. The feel of the log cabin and the fire make the visit feel worth while. Pleasently busy but somehow the service was good and our wait was not very long considering how busy it was. I recommend you stop in and see for yourself.

This place was awful. As I write this there are eight reviews with a 4.5 star rating. If Country Inn was ever good it sure isn’t anymore. Definitely not worthy of a 4.5 star rating. I ordered the baked cod and it was rubbery and bland. I’m pretty sure it was frozen and cooked in the microwave. The cod came with the vegetable of the day, carrots. I could tell my carrots were the cut and peeled baby carrots that you would put in your lunch. Their standards are so low they can’t even to take the time cut up whole carrots. My fiancé ordered the healthy omelet and it too was bland. They didn’t even put salt on the eggs. The worst part is that the eggs were burnt. I really dislike handing over my hard earned money for bland, burnt eggs. Cod is a mild tasting fish but I expect a professional kitchen to at least make the cod taste good enough to eat for dinner. I am never going back here to eat. It blew my mind that this place was very busy. People must be going here because it’s a habit and it’s close to their home. There’s no reason to go here for the food.

I’ve driven by this place a few times and they always look like they are busy, so I wanted to check it out. I’m glad I did! LOVETHISPLACE! Comfortable atmosphere, quiet, efficient & friendly service, huge menu. As busy as it was, the food didn’t take long at all. Very quick. They bring out a bread/cracker basket which was very tasty. The food came hot, fresh, and was delicious. Servers checked on us a few times and the portion sizes were very generous. I will definitely be returning and have already given my positive review to friends and family.

i love this place. i’ve been to this country inn i think 4 to 5x now, and i love it. clean. great food. waitresses are super friendly. cannot beat the prices and the portions are generous. this country inn is better than some of the other ones in the metro detroit area. its all about who you got workin, and the employees/mgt at the garfield store are great. thanks guys and gals.

The staff here makes this place. We go for breakfast which is fantastic and it has quickly become our regular place. Everyone has always been very helpful and courteous. They happily make me a double pot of coffee every time that I ask. The service is always great and it rivals that at places that are more expensive. We rarely have any issues but when we do they are quickly addressed. The prices are great compared to everyplace else we have gone. One of these days we will order something besides breakfast.

I’m an irregular regular at this place for years. Pretty much everything I’ve had here is spot on. The food and service is the best bang for the buck I have been able to find locally especially if you get Jessie or Camelia as your waitress. I also notice that there are a ton of workers during the peak busy times so I don’t think service suffers too much. I drink a lot of coffee and REQUIRE lots of refills. Never had an issue of running low on coffee at this place. If anything, I can’t drink it fast enough. I’m defending the quiche also as I don’t normally like quiche but I regularly order it here. Just a little salt on top sometimes and I’m good. I like the fact that they have(Jennie-O) turkey sausage patties too. Wish it was House of Raeford brand but good enough. Also, if you like Splenda like I do, they have it but you have to ask. Wish they wouldn’t ration it but at least they have it. Slowest day and time seems to be Mon around 3:00p. Service is then ultra-fast. Things I like on their menu so far: Waffles, Greek Omelette with tzatziki(yum) sauce, pretzel and BLT sandwiches, sweet potato fries with a little honey mustard sauce and fresh cracked pepper, coconut cream pie. Note: Their Shepherd’s Pie is OK, but not the greatest and not very close to a traditional one if you ask me. Oh, and they don’t have but need WiFi!

I have to admit, I’m a regular here! It’s right around the corner, and the prices and food are great! I like that they use real potatoes for mashing and hash browns(since I’m allergic to sulfites, that’s an important thing!) It’s usually pretty full of seniors and families, but the food is always great! For a generic American family restaurant, the veal or chicken Parmesan is surprisingly good, and pretty much anything off the breakfast menu is tasty. However, beware of the«special quiche»…my mom got it once, and it ended up being overcooked quiche filled with veg-all. There are several locations around the eastside, so if you’re looking for an inexpensive, very tasty, plain ol’ American food, you’ve found the place!

Think a step up from Denny’s or Ram’s Horn with country style food. That is exactly what you will have here. This diner is one of five in the Metro Detroit area, all on the east side basically. The restaurant always seems to have a people coming and going with seniors and regulars. The menu is quite extensive with breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees. The service is decent, I don’t expect my napkin placed on my lap here. The service could be faster, they could be friendly, but they COULD be much slower too. So no complaints. I had the roasted turkey, I really torn into it like at Thanksgiving. The breadbasket with the warm, poppysead rolls and soup were pretty good. The turkey entrée was pretty large, enough for two filling meals. The turkey was normal turkey, at least there was a good amount of it, the dressing was really good-great taste. Mashed potatoes are clearly homemade with the lumps of potatoes inside, my personal favorite. My boyfriend is a different type of person than I am, I prefer the cocktails, décor and ambiance in a restaurant; him on the other hand is more about chowing down the biggest«man dish» and roll out of the restaurant stuffed to the seams, all the while only spending 20 – 25 bucks. This place is much more his speed with their frequent diner card and shepherd’s pie and pot roast. Not knocking the restaurant, it is a place to take care of the hunger for a cheap price, and that is about it. A down to business kinda place, not a date place. ha ha
