My wife and I decided to eat here tonight. Although we’ve eaten here before, this is the first chance I’ve had to do a review. At 5:45 there was already a crowd, but we were seated right away. Considering the number of people, it was relatively quiet as Sinatra and Bennett crooned in the background. Our server brought a basket of warm bread and garlic butter, which we devoured in short order and requested another. We skipped the appetizers, knowing that the entrees would be more than enough food for us. I ordered the pork chops in Portobello sauce, asking that they not be overcooked. She suggested medium, which turned out juicy, tender and absolutely perfect. This was served with angel hair in a garlic sauce that a good Italian would call aglio oilio, and was cooked al dente. It was very good. Wife ordered Chicken Sinatra with sauteed greens, mushrooms, subbing green peppers in place of hot peppers, and garlic mashed potatoes. Another excellent choice. For dessert, we split and lovingly forced down a tartufo, which is a maraschino cherry surrounded with vanilla and chocolate ice cream in a hard chocolate shell topped with homemade chocolate sauce, raspberry sauce and homemade whipped cream. Highly recommended! We left stuffed, and with a doggy bag to enjoy another time. If you haven’t been there, try it, but come early.

This is a great steak house… But we will see how they compare to all the new high end steak houses new to the area…

Had never been to Delmonico’s before but had heard many good things. I took my mother here for her birthday and I’m glad to report that its reputation is well earned! They feature excellent steaks and pasta dishes, a fine wine list, gluten free menu and the atmosphere is lovely. The wait staff is impeccably dressed and very attentive. There was no wait for seating and the food arrived about as quickly as a well prepared steak possibly can. The dishes are a bit pricey, but well worth it and within the bounds you’d expect an an upscale establishment. The wait staff came out to wish my mother a happy birthday near the end of the meal and presented her with a free cannoli for dessert. Very pleased!

The second star is only for the wine which was excellent. Never had filet that was so tough and as much grizzle as a bad London broil. I had the filet marsala and the side of buttered angel hair was poorly cooled. The atmosphere was nice so if I come back it will be for a glass of wine only. For the price of a plate of food you might think they would throw in a salad or a veggie.

Decent overall dinner, cocktail experience. Fun staff. Nice balance between chain restaurant and spendy steakhouse.

Classy, hip, and trendy — fun enough for a night with friends, nice enough for a dinner with mom, and with solid hearty food to boot. We ordered the frutti de mare(seafood pasta), chicken marsala, and garlic cheese bread, which turned out to be too much food for two, but it was all great and served piping hot! There were large clams and generous chunks of fish in the pasta, and the chicken was juicy with large cuts of mushroom. The crowd is classy but lively — a mix of young families as well as working professionals. Wish this place was around when I lived here!

The Utica mothership is better… Clifton Park is quite a douche magnet as well. Take the plunge and drive 80 miles for a weekend and check out the other Utica eateries as well.

Took my wife to the Clifton Park location on Black Friday for dinner. We arrived just after 5pm and only took a few minutes to get seated, as a few other partis got in the door just before we did. We were seated in the room which had been converted from outdoor seating a year and a half ago. Our server, Liz, was attentive, super friendly, and not pushy at all(I HATE being upsold at a restaurant). A small loaf of warm bread was brought out with Garlic butter when she brought us our sodas. There were several specials for the day but none appealed to us. My wife always gets a Caesar salad and it did not disappoint. Super fresh, cold, and just the right amount of dressing. Perfect. For our dinners, I had the veal parmigiana($ 22) and my wife had some kind of tortellini($ 16). I asked for rigatoni instead of the usual spaghetti and the kitchen staff delivered. The piece of veal covered the entire plate. I ate half of the veal and the rigatoni and the rest went home with me. Very good as usual. My wife never had the tortellini before and she said they were delicious. She is a garlic lover and that dish had plenty of it. Like me, she ate half the dinner and the rest came home. By the time we left at 625 pm, the restaurant was very crowded with people waiting. It’s always good to get to Delmonicos by 5pm as there is rarely any delay in getting seated. Gave everything a solid 4 stars. Took one star off because of the gas fireplace in the room was cranked up, making the room way too warm for me.

The restaurant was bustling and very alive. Seems like a popular spot to dine. We were there with a large party and they took care of us well. I ordered the ribeye. It was cooked perfectly although under seasoned. The asparagus was perfect. The Amaretto cheesecake was good but had no flavor of Amaretto. This was also noticed by another diner I was with. Maybe give it another shot in the future.

So let’s start off by saying there Priority Seating is a joke! You are better off just showing up then wasting your time with this trickery. The wait ended up being 50 minutes instead of the 30 – 40 we were told at check in. The calamari looked great but after several soft mushy pieces we are hoping not to get food poisoning! The one pound lasagna must’ve been microwaves because the noodle was crispy in parts and barely room temperature. The Meatballs were good and much warmer by comparison. Really disappointed in wasting my time at a sub par Italian eatery.

Just too small. You feel crammed in like cattle. For the price of a steak here you should be able to sit and feel a bit more comfortable. Just too small of a building.

We love the food at this restaurant. This is a special occasion restaurant for us(birthdays and anniversaries). Though I don’t love their red sauce, everything else is delicious. Steaks are obviously what they are known for, but their sea food dishes are what draw me!

The ambience and wait staff were great. I ordered the veal special. Frankly I could have done a better job myself. There was so much pepper in the dish I was barely able to discern any other flavor. The veal sat on a bed of veggies and mushrooms. They added way to much bread crumbs thst what was supposed to be a bed of veggies became a stuffing. Added to that were garlic mashed potatoes thar were good. Overall it was car overload. Frankly either the chain or the restaurant needs a chef to direct them. I’m a good and aventurous cook. This entrée was an overall disaster.

I love the Delmonico’s on Central Ave, the atmosphere is great. The quality of food is the same at both locations(I appreciate the consistency). But if I have time I prefer the Albany location. If you have never been to either– know that the food is high quality and gigantic portions. My top choices: chicken riggies, the Delmonico steak, the chicken and eggplant parm(a special during the week) and seriously the Caesar dressing has to have crack in it… it’s that addicting!

I have been to the one on Wolf Road many times and the food is always phenominal this food was also great but the experience was not. The general ambiance was just not the same I was seated in a heavily trafficed area which was not exactly the setting for a date. the hostesses were rude but the waitress was not, I will only be going to the Wolf road loaction from now on.

The NY Strip may be the best $ 24 steak I ever had. I asked for it rare to medium rare and they nailed it. It was seasoned perfectly. The side was penned pasta with oil and garlic… pasta cooked perfect. …I sat at the bar since I was by myself and the service was good and attentive… overall excellent value and good solid service…

Driving towards Albany and we hadn’t eaten since breakfast. We called ahead and put our name on the list and we’re told 40 minutes, not bad considering we were 20 mins away. We get there and the place is packed to the rafters. There is a stretch golf cart making rounds from the parking lot to the front door. How lazy do you have to be to take a golf cart to go eat food? Anyways, the blonde bitch at the front counter couldn’t pull her head out of her ass long enough to do the math on a wait time. The 40 minutes we were quoted over the phone just became 65. No thanks, we wen’t elsewhere. Something about the attitude of the people at the front desk told me it wasn’t going to be worth the wait anyways…

Quick Look: Same quality meals w/heaping proportions that you find at their always-busy Central Avenue location in Colonie. In Depth Review: Visited with a large group of 8 people early on Sunday, June 8th2014 at 2:30pm. The restaurant was very quiet at this time and only saw two other tables sat. Unusual compared to the Central Avenue location that seems to be busy all the time. Our group was sat in the semi-private Sinatra Room and we fit just perfect. The entire room was decorated w/Sinatra photos and memorabilia. The Italian side of the family really enjoyed this special space. Our waitress was attentive, on point and on top of her game. Our group ordered three appetizers(2 fried calamari and a Bruschetta Pomodoro). The appetizers were delicious. The calamari was fried just perfect and they gave you a large quantity. We ordered a couple bottles of wine and they were priced reasonably($ 30 range). Removed a star as one of the larger bottles of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio was unavailable. The waitress made suggestions, answered everyone’s questions and accommodated special requests. The orders all arrived at once, they were hot and there were no mistakes. I thoroughly enjoyed the heaping portion of Veal Parmigiana. It was as good(if not better) than the same dish I enjoyed at the Colonie location. So they have consistency between the restaurants. The pasta was Al dente and the red sauce was superb. Everyone at the table was ranting and raving about their dishes which included Chicken Parmigiana(special request), Frutti de Mare, Chicken Sinatra & Chicken Marsala. We were all too stuffed for desert and enjoyed a coffee to awaken us from our food comas. As always, we left with those doggy bags that made Delmonico’s famous. They certainly do not hold back with the portions. Does anyone ever get desert at this place? So much food! Summary: Nice restaurant space and conveniently located right off the Northway(I-87). Great option for out of town people driving through Clifton Park on their way back from the race track in Saratoga. Would happily recommend Delmonico’s and feel comfortable doing so. They are consistent and never disappoint.

I’m a local and couldn’t wait for this place to open to get a quality steak in town. FINALLY! I’ve eaten here 4+ times since it opened. The waitstaff is very good(all beautiful) and bartenders as well. Everything I have ordered has lived up to my expectations. You really can’t go wrong no matter what you order– and the portions are pretty big! Great Delmonico steak deal. I’m addicted to the house balsamic vinaigrette! Very busy on weekends during prime dining times– be prepared to wait.
