The professional clothiers at Xerxes specialize in high-​end and custom suits, casual shirts and denim, shoes, belts, and accessories. We carry a variety of stylish brands such as, Jhane Barnes, Hugo Boss, Hickey Freeman, Hart-​Schaffner-​Marx, Florsheim, Cole Haan, Mezlan, Bruno Magli, Allen Edmonds, Robert Talbot, Ike Behar, and Tommy Bahama. We encourage a personal approach to shopping, with private consultations and wardrobe coordination. Our employees are trained in the art of custom fitting and Xerxes’ full time, in-​house tailor is an expert in alterations.

History

Established in 1995.

Xerxes «Righteous King» was the Persian Emperor, who furnished his soldiers accordingly. When entering the grand Persepolis arena they were dressed magnificently in majestic colors displaying the Splendor of the empire, and outfitted mightily when entering the field. Today we carry on his tradition by clothing our clients for business, cruises, weddings and everyday events. We are located at 319 Yale Avenue in the Claremont Village on the corner of Yale and Bonita. Established in 1995 by Arman Ariane.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Arman Ariane was born in Tehran, Iran in 1960. At the age of 14 he left Iran to attend high school and university in Vienna, Austria. Arman moved to America in 1984 and lives in Claremont as a businessman with his wife Morgan and their two sons Parsa and Kourosh. The couple has established two high-​end retail stores, Xerxes and Susa in the heart of the Claremont Village where they specialize in building personal relationships with their customers. He is a representative of the Zoroastrian community of Southern California and has been instrumental in the establishment of Zoroastrian Studies at Claremont Graduate University, where he was also the president of Board of Visitors from 2003 to 2009. Arman was the recipient of The Claremont Colleges Community Partner of the Year Award in 2009. Arman is a Rotarian and has been a member of varied interfaith groups in Upland, Orange County and Los Angeles.
