Never going back. We love Taco Casa but this experience was dismal. The girl at the register never put her cellphone down and continued chatting to her friend while taking our order even telling them that she had yo take an order.(Did you ever find out why she/he didn’t get the raise!?) The woman standing next to me had her cell phone on Speaker while she chatted with her bank about making a payment so she could do some more shopping.(Hope that worked out for you) My husband said that the bathroom was disgusting and in serious need of attention while the 2 employees sat in the dining area chatting it up while we ate. Harper’s location is worth the drive.

Let me get this out of the way right off the bat — I dearly love the food at Taco Casa But the strange thing about this place is most folks I talk to either really love it, or really hate it — views seem very polarized. And it seems to both start and end in most cases with the key ingredient — their taco meat, which goes into about half of the items on the menu. The taco meat is finely ground hamburger mildly spiced with the same sort of spices most of use use to make tacos at home. But it has a certain something, one or more things added that I cant quite put my finger on, that change both the texture and the flavor into something a lot better, at least in my opinion. It has a slight creaminess with very little grease, not much heat, and holds together well, almost like a very very thick meaty sauce, It is hard to describe, and I’ve never had anything like it anywhere else. The most popular thing here is the taco salad, but I prefer the sancho boat, which is a tortilla stuffed with the taco meat, rolled, covered in red sauce(your choice of hot or mild, its kinda like a enchilada sauce) and melted cheese, then topped with fresh lettuce and chopped stewed tomato. It might sound a little weird, but it is tasty as all get out Prices are a bit higher than you’d expect for a counter service taco joint like this — 2 dollars for a standard american-style(meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato) taco. More expensive than Taco Bell, yes, but a bit bigger and a lot tastier. Plenty of parking in the strip center lot it is located in, right next to Arby’s. Service is friendly, but a little slow. Plenty of indoor seating. Recommended

Just not impressed. Got the small taco salad 6.99(1.40 more if you want chicken) and the chilli con queso 4.95. First time here and was not informed the salad comes with chips. So i basically paid 4.95 for more nachos and cheese. This is NOT good mexican food. The salad i got tastes cheap and feels like this business is just in it for the money not because the have a good product. The chips are way to salty! $ 13 for a meal that i could have gotten at taco bell for half the price and better tasting food. Chipotle hands down is the best mixican food in this area. And i would not recommend this place to anyone ever.

I usually go to Hyde Park location, but when I found out they were opening one up in Norwood, I was psyched! What I love about Taco Casa is that it’s simple American Tex-Mex food, quick, and cheap. I absolutely love their Taco salad-lettuce, tomatoes, beef, beans(I tell them to hold it, since I don’t like it on my salad), onions, ranch dressing on the bottom, and ground beef with chips, your choice of mild or hot sauce. I usually get the junior size which is perfect portion for $ 4.99. Simply delish! I’ve also tried their Tuna Boat, Cheese Quesadilla, and hard shell beef taco, which are great too. Their pricing at this location is higher. The Hyde Park location is $ 4.59 for a junior salad. The employees are very friendly and fast at making my meal. You can also dine in, which restaurant is really clean and the condiments section is very organized. I would choose Taco Casa over Taco Bell. I don’t see why the reviews are bad, because if you are expecting authentic Mexican food, you are definitely not going to get it here. I’m obsessed with this place!

I had been to another taco casa years ago because people always would talk about their salad. This new location in Norwood is close to the area I frequent for lunch. I will start with the positives. The inside is nice. It’s clean and has a tv. The staff seemed friendly. They have some old style bottled sodas and regular fountain drinks to choose from. The menu consist of typical fast Mexican food. I have learned people either love or hate this food. I decided I would try the taco salad again. Last time years ago I got it because someone I knew raved about it. I did not like it then and I do not like it now. It’s canned stewed tomatoes, lettuce beans, lots of cheese and ranch dressing. The dressing and cheese is nice but something is up with the meat and canned tomatoes. The hot or mild sauce is just a canned sauce. I so like the variety of sized they have tho. But I just do not like the salad at all. I may get brave and return to try something else but the salad is a no go for me.

As a regular taco bell goer this place was honestly preferable for just a plain beef hard shell taco. It was fuller than I would have thought and pretty good.
