AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care

Went there twice with misdiagnosis… go to little client in krogers! They are slightly cheaper and Much better!

Have been there several times for not so serious and more serious things. Have always been seen quickly and been treated professionally. A bonus is that if you use the Walgreens next door they transmit the RX electronically and it is waiting when you get there.

I recently moved to Cincinnati and have visited this UrgentCare twice due to location convenience. After a bad experience the first time, I should have known not to visit again. I will not being going back, and I advise anyone wanting care to go somewhere else due to their unprofessionalism, bad customer service, and inexperience.
My first visit: I went the first time due to a yeast infection, which I get recurrently due to birth control. I let the nurse know the issue (which I know exactly how to identify by now), and before receiving anymore information, she told me to go to a drugstore to get Monostat, which I let her know I’m allergic to. She then told me that I would have to go to the ER instead, as it was not their policy to inspect further. After much back and forth, I convinced her to let me se the doctor. 30 minutes later, the doctor comes in and says I have to go to the hospital to be treated because she can not inspect «internal» problems. I, again, emphasized that it was a yeast infection, so she called the nurse back in to ask why she said it was internal – the nurse snapped back claiming that was what I said initially. The doctor then did a test with the nurse still in the room glaring at me, sent it to a lab, and sent me home with a general antibiotic until results came. A week later, my infection was gone, but I was never contacted with results, so I called only to have it confirmed a yeast infection. They said I should go get Monostat… interesting that it was never noted that I was allergic. Very unprofessional and negative experience overall.
Second visit: My second visit, I came in and the same nurse was at the desk. I came in for shortness of breath which I had felt for the past week and especially when exercising. The nurse told me to go to the ER again. I explained that she told me this last time only for her to be wrong, and asked what the physician could do for my symptoms. She said «I wouldn’t know, I’m not a physician.» I asked to see the physician, and she said no, go to an ER. At that point, I was too frustrated to argue further. Glad to know they don’t care for a person’s actual health — they’re only interested in doing sports physicals.

The hours and location are great! I’m not ready to give up my family doctor of 26 years, who is an hour away, so this place fills the gaps when I can’t get there! I’ve been a half dozen times and they have always been friendly & quick.
It’s pretty inexpensive. I’ve taken a friend with no insurance and they outlined the prices of everything before taking her back which is awesome — no surprise bills!
They are not pill pushers! I’ve walked out several times empty handed with instructions to get OTC meds — which I’d much prefer! They take the time to explain drugs/​interactions/​side effects which is nice. I’ve been back again & again with no complaints!

Friendly support staff and physician. Immediately identified my son’s ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. She was wonderful in her counseling and treated my son with kindness and respect.
He said he would like to go there for all his check-​ups.

great experience here. no one in waiting room, the doctor was very friendly knowledgable and took her time with me. It was only $ 85. totally recommend this place. Just don’t waste you time filling out the online form, they have a blitch in their system so it doesn’t transfer.

Went okay at first. Until they forgot to send prescription.

I arrived at Doctors Express when they opened at 8 am to be seen for possible strep throat. I am 30 weeks (and obviously) pregnant & it was 3°F outside, yet the receptionist continued to stare at me with a dirty look on her face and didn’t open the door for me. The doctor actually let me in when he showed up (late). When I was taken back to be seen, the doctor was rude and seemed like he didn’t have time for me, and the nurse who came in to do the strep test didn’t even speak to me, she just came in and stuck the swab in my mouth! I will NEVER come back here. Absolutely ridiculous customer service.

I honestly wasn’t all that impressed. After waiting over 30 minutes on a Wednesday afternoon, I at least expected the Doctor to spend more than 45 seconds with me. I had a few questions that he basically told me he didn’t know the answer to and was halfway out the door before I could even finish my sentence. The reason they got 3 stars from me was because their location is convenient and clean and the nurse that checked me in and took my blood pressure, etc was very nice, but if I was rating this on the doctor alone I would most likely only have given 1 – 2 stars.

Working full time and getting a doctor’s appointment can be hard. Luckily, doctor’s express is open until 8PM on weeknights! I had a great experience here, aside from being sick. It wasn’t very crowded on the Tuesday evening I went, so I got to see a doctor very quickly. Getting checked in was simple and the people were very accommodating and nice.
The doctor I saw listened to my concerns very thoroughly. I always expect urgent cares to not want to pay much attention to your personally, and just get you in and out. I didn’t feel that way at Doctor’s Express. The doctor gave me sound medical advice and prescribed me what I needed.
My sickness was making me feel pretty down emotionally too, so it definitely helped when I was given a carnation on the way out! Can’t say I’ve ever been given flowers at a doctor’s office until I visited this urgent care. If you need to see a doctor and you don’t have time to get in to see your primary care physician, I’d definitely recommend this location.
