I had the orange chicken teriyaki chicken and the food tasted left over. For the price I would not recommend this place to anyone.

If I could give it no stars I would. The food looked like it was three days old it was not good at all. I would not recommend it to anyone.

The food is tasty and inexpensive. I love it. If they’re out of something just ask them to make it but don’t hold it against them. If their food wasn’t good then they’d be fully stocked all the time!

Came here for lunch today, not all the food was ready and the menu is very limited, seemed like 10 food items… I mean with a choice of ‘orange chicken’ or ‘spicy orange chicken’ it seems a bit retarded to do(my grams was disappointed they had no soup of any kind served here). The setup is similar to what you’d get at a mall food court. The few food items they had weren’t anything decent. I had a huge scoop of slightly mushy white rice with a tiny scoop of kung pao shrimp on the side which had about 8 very overcooked shrimp the size of nickel(thus equaling the size of 1 normal sized shrimp) it also had some diced green bell-pepper and onion in it which was diced bigger than the shrimp. I also tried an egg roll which was a decent size but it was a bit mushy inside and not that good either. My grams barely touched her chow mien and didn’t want to bring it home either. The best part of the meal was the soda machine, free refills, big cups: P The staff was okay but something felt off, the place wasn’t that clean as there was food pieces on the seats… other than that I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I LOVE coming here whenever I’m in the area. The orange chicken is great and the noodles are nice and thick not the crap they try and overcharge you for at panda express. My food is never more than $ 7 and takes about 2 minutes to get. Food doesn’t taste cheap at all and they give you plenty of it, it’s the best rice king in San Diego period

I used to come here often, I love Rice King cuz of the noodles. I hadn’t been here though in years. other food got in the way. I tired coming here on a couple of Sundays for lunch but the don’t open till 3pm, and my lucnh time is usually at 2ish. When I finally came though I was disappointed to see new owners. The place looks the same but doesn’t feel the same. There are a lot of signs chastising you. The food though is delicious, and most of it isn’t just sitting out, they make it fresh when you order it. I love the pepper steak. although its more peppers than steak. The teriyaki is great, and its the Rice King specialty . I will keep coming but not as often, those noodles, man they beckon you.

This location used to be good. I think they are on the 3rd owner in the last few years. Best things here are the teriyaki chicken and orange chicken. I’d be nice if they offered new items every once in a while, like Panda. Same dozen items for the last 10 years… booo
