Received my glasses within a week in spite of being told to wait two weeks.
Plenty of inventory to choose from but prices vary and seem to be in the high range, so be prepared to spend.

Great all around Customer Service
I called for an appointment and spoke with Carla, was asked for my information and was good to go from there. As soon as I walked through the door was greeted and asked if I needed assistance. They walked me through exam process and were helpful in explaining the details. Moving on to picking out my glasses. Giovanni was a great help, we looked at some frames but they didn’t really suit me. He found a pair that he though I would like ordered them in to see if I would. Well he was spot on they look and feel great and I can now see clearly once again. I don’t write to many reviews however, there are those exceptions to give credit where due. The staff at Eyeworks really took care of me and it was very much appreciated.

Customer service there is awesome. The lady at the self checkout line can turn a bad day into a great day.

This place is only getting 4 stars because of the RUDE front desk staff! I was carrying a carseat and NOBODY offered to help me open the door as I came in or left! The woman had the nerve to laugh when I said I was having a hard time. The docs are great– knowledgeable, friendly, and great with kids! The place is gorgeous but the staff almost makes me want to not come back! Get new front desk staff and you’ll have a 5 star establishment!

This place is ridiculous. They are way overpriced. I’m a person that researches before I purchase and in this case im very happy I did. I went to an Oakley store and found a pair of prescription glasses. MSRP was $ 240. Came to Otay Ranch eye works and they were charging me $ 290. After insurance and what not the total came out to $ 350! And I would have to essentially wait a month for my glasses. Went to LensCrafters with my prescription in hand, let them know what I wanted and the total was $ 178.63 (with the frames that I wanted). And keep in mind LensCrafters isn’t covered by my plan.

Horrible customer service! I’m giving 2 stars just for the Dr who saw my daughter. She was awesome. It was a Sunday and I was extremely happy they offered weekend appts. My daughter and I were dropped off by my husband. We had finished the eye exams and had a good 20 min to look at eyeglasses. Mind you it was overwhelming as it was my daughter’s first time needing to wear glasses and I come from a family that never wore them. Anyhow I told the lady at the front desk that I need more time to decide on a pair and would come back. I asked if it was ok to wait inside while my husband was on the way. There was still 10 minutes left before closing. The lady was fine with it. However her coworker approached me a minute later and basically was kicking me out of the store. I was 8 months pregnant as well. Very rude! If you’re so in a hurry to leave on a Sunday then don’t see any patients at all!

I needed a contact prescription asap and Costco didn’t have any openings
I give them props for being able to see me right away on a Sunday, however I feel like they have you running around in circles. On Wednesday I went back for my trial pair and I believe I got a defective pair so they told me to call with my old prescription details to verify the next order. A week later I got no call back so I call them and they say they will have the doctor call me back. Another week later nobody calls me back and I ask what happened and they say the lab is taking long so they will order another pair and finally I was able to get my right contacts after 2 weeks.

I had such a great experience at Otay Ranch Eyeworks. Dr. Moghadam is very professional, polite and understanding. My lenses were finished before the expected date and staff were very good with communicating updates. I would definitely come back for another eye exam!

For about 6 months my husbands eyes had been bloodshot and dry. We tried to ignore it, but it really started to get him some strange looks from people, so we decided it might be time to go to the eye doctor.
Eyeworks was recommended to us because lets be real here, most of us don’t know where to begin when it comes to trusting someone to poke us in the eye.
First off, its super cute in there and not at all intimidating like a doctors office.
I was immediately swayed because of all the designer stuff in there. If the doctors office had Chanel and Dior every time I walked in, I may be more inclined to make a visit.
The reception girls are so adorable and sooo smart. I was so surprised when it was these girls that performed all of my husbands exams before going in to the doc.
They are trained quite well and young little lads, so it was a comfortable experience for my hubs. We didn’t wait more than 2 – 3 minutes after reception got him checked in and he was off to all the fun eye charts and tests.
After we got in to the see the doctor and she continued with the more intense stuff, she recommend some eye drops for the redness & dryness and we thought we were done until she informed us that she noticed he needed a slight prescription. My husband wanted to cry, almost turning 30 was hard enough, now glasses?!. I think he looks cute with them, so BONUS for me!
We had a super easy time with the reception girls trying on as many as he wanted and they never made us feel rushed or annoyed that he tried so many on. They were very descriptive and informative about his new lenses, his warranties, etc. which was great because neither of us wear glasses and all of this was new to us. We were able to use our medical insurance for everything which was awesome and my husband left with an adorable pair of Ray Bans.
All in all, we had a good first experience. Since then, my husband has continued to use the eye drops the doctor recommended and he hasn’t had anywhere near the issues he had before & the glasses are growing on him.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by such polite and professional staff, I knew I was in the right place! From start to finish I had a fantastic experience and couldn’t believe how much I loved my new cute glasses! I felt great when leaving! I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks again !!

Great service and great selection!!! We have been coming here for 4 years now and I Love coming here and being spoiled by the opticians. They don’t pressure me into anything and ultimately the choice is mine!

Let’s be honest: no one likes going to the eye doctor, especially when you have progressively blurry vision. But, the entire staff at Eyeworks are so friendly and inviting that I felt as if I was shopping at Nordstrom rather than going in for an appointment.
A friend referred me to this location and I’m so thankful that she did. They have an impressive selection of designer collections that for a girl like me, who never has enough glasses/​sunglasses, was like Princess Belle walking into a library. I was able to grab my now-​favorite Chanel frames for much cheaper than I would at any department store (and believe me, I looked and compared). I was helped by the same associate from start to finish, which is always greatly appreciated for an indecisive shopper as myself. And the eye exam itself went by so quickly and easily that it was over (thankfully) by the time I realized it started.
Overall, I was so pleased with my entire experience here. I’d say I’d go back soon, but they may think I’m weird for getting another eye exam so quickly. No one wants to be «that» person. Then again, Belle went to the library everyday… right?

What a mess and no customer service. Wait three weeks for glasses only when they come in you can’t see with them. They did not want to do anything. Even told us to go home and try them over night. Didn’t accept that… felt if we went in the next day we my find some better service and see the doctor. Well the service started out better they checked both old and new and said yes their was a significant change. Please note at exam the doctor said she was only uping the reading by.25. So we know some went wrong between exam and what was ordered. Thought they would handle like today. Nope… no dr appt… told to wait until next week end. What a scam they already have their money so they just don’t care. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!

Great experience from beginning to end!
When I first went in I was greeted by a nice young man at the front desk who was able to set me and both the kids up for an appointment on the same day! Awesome!!!
When we went back the the appointment again was greeted and then we saw the tech first who was super nice and friendly.
She was really kind to both of my boys and explained what she was doing.
We then saw the doctor again super nice made the kids feel really comfortable.
she answered all my questions and took her time.
I will recommend Eyeworks to all my friends for sure!!!

Dr. Sinn and the staff at Otay Ranch Eyeworks are wonderful! They were able to get me in for a same day appt. The office is extremely clean. Dr. Sinn amazing and made me feel extremely comfortable throughout my entire exam.
I highly recommend them to those who are needing an exam in a timely manner, and want a professional environment.
One thing I wish they had was free wifi for customer use. The reception was nonexistent for my Sprint phone.

I love this place I love my glasses and I love the staff they shipped y glasses to NT for me expediated for $ 25. I am moving back to San Diego and they will definetley be my eyecare professionals. I saw two doctors and they were both super nice and awesome I really had a great expierence. They saw me right away and fit me in when I was in a rush. The contacts were awesome too and they were super, nice and friendly!

2 years ago we moved to the area and I was looking for a new optometrist. I wear both contacts and glasses. I found this company when I was driving through the area.
The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to make my first appointment easily and quickly. The optometrist on staff is wonderful. Since my initial appointment, I’ve also taken my two step-​children and husband in for exams. Their service has also been a great experience.
They also have a wonderful selection of eye glasses. Both my boys and husband purchased Oakley’s. They look so great on them!

I typically get my annual eye exams at Costco (since it was affordable for contact lens & eyeglass exam) but decided to go to Otay Ranch Eyeworks this time around. I rely on Unilocal reviews and was a bit hesitant to come here, but went ahead and gave them a try since the accept my insurance.
When I called 2 weeks before my appointment, the person I spoke to was friendly. I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly, which was awesome. I also made an appointment for my daughter, which the OTE was able to work both of our appointments in at the same time. Score!
We did the basic eye tests and Dr. King was seeing us. She said my daughter’s vision was ²⁰⁄₁₅. which is better than the average person. I can already tell she was really honest. I’ve had my daughter’s eyes checked in the past at another clinic and was told she needed reading glasses and wanted to prescribe something right away (at that time she was only 8).
After the typical checked up on my vision (I’m blind as a bat and rely on contact lenses), the doctor asked a few questions about my contacts. I told her which brand of contacts I was wearing and she asked me if I wouldn’t mind trying something new. I’m glad that she asked, because other doctors would continue to keep me on the same brand. She even advised that the new brand is less expensive and I could keep wearing the same ones for a month. She also explained the curvature of my eyes and that I probably would see much better with contacts on than glasses (although I still want glasses to wear at home).
I liked the fact that she sent me home with a pair of new contacts with my new prescription to try on for a week. I will have a follow-​up appointment next week and will provide an update from that appointment.
But based on my recent visit, so far so good!
