Wally’s Radiator Service

So I went to pep boys because my 1987 Camry wagon was overheating. Pep Boys was going to charge me 500 and $ 80 to fix it. I decided I would get a second opinion, so I went to Wallys on Riverside Drive.
Honestly, I should have gone there first because this place is awesome! Eddy was super polite and professional. He explained about the problem without talking down to me, and really knew his stuff. Turned out, all my car needed was a new thermostat and a radiator flush.
He explained everything that he did to the car, gave me some tips and tricks to make the fluid last longer, and the end total was one third of what Pep Boys was going to charge me. Wally’s radiator did me a solid, and I will never take my car anywhere else. The bottom line, it’s really hard in this day and age to find a decent mechanic but I found one at wallys! If you could do 6 stars I would give them all 6.

Love, Love, Love these guys! Being a female and having a major melt down with my car heating up (ha, pun!), not from the area and also having ‘some’ knowledge of engines, I was ‘on guard’ for anyone taking advantage of me.
The treatment I received from Eddy and the staff there was like I was family. He ended up replacing 2 fans and a belt. The price was VERY fair and competitive. The work was done in a timely manner and I was on my way!
If you ever have a bad experience here, I’d say you went to an imposter, cause Eddy and Wallys Radiators are the best!

I’m sorry I have waited so long to post a comment. Wally’s is a good automotive repair shop. Fast and reasonable. I recommend Wally’s!

Place is a joke — called today and sounded like a kid too busy too take a question, annoyed if you will when asked if he knew another location that provided welding the answer was nope!!!
Customer service — poor

Wally’s was the first place I called, and after calling every radiator shop (money is tight) within 20 miles, it was 15% less expensive than the next lowest price.
I was surprised at how clean the shop was, and how mild mannered its’ owner was.
They were honest, completed the job on time, put things in writing, and it cost what he said it would.
It does not get much better.
