I recently moved to the area and wanted to find the perfect doctor for my daughter… after researching, I came across Dr. kumar and I absolutely LOVE her!!! She takes her time with the children and REALLY listens to your concerns and CARES about what your saying and tries getting the best care for your child… she doesn’t make you feel rushed! My daughter was really sick a few months back and it turns out she had acute pneumonia and bronchitis, so I took her in and Dr. Kumar seemed worried and even though it was late (around 5pm) she took her time with me, she showed me how to work the nebulizer (breathing treatment) and gave my daughter medicine, within a wk she was cured! She is truly amazing!

Best pediatrician ever. Dr Kumar has treated my son since birth. He is now 5 years old. I highly recommend Dr Kumar as she actually cares for her patients and take time to get to know them to build a great trust and bond. My son says his favorite doctor is Kumar and I agree.

First of and foremost, I want to start by saying that I am SO happy that I found this office. I’ve struggled to find a pediatrician after my insurance switched. My husband took our daughter in for her one year check up about a week ago, and unfortunately I was unable to attend but he loved Dr kumar. I love Marisa. She’s been so helpful since the start when I had an issue with my daughters insurance at first. I spoke with Dr Kumar today in regards to my daughters test results and she sounds like the SWEETEST ever! She personally called me, very professional. Unlike other offices I’ve had to deal with. I’m looking forward to meeting her and her staff at my daughters follow up. Thank you all for being so amazing! The negrete family appreciates you! Xo.

My husband is in the military so we have moved a lot. I have had to find a new doctor for my kids each time. Dr. Kumar and her staff are great. I decided to post this review because I saw other reviews stating long wait times. I’ve never had to wait longer than 30 minutes (we were booked same day as an emergency). Dr. Kumar explains everything to you and welcomes questions. Her receptionist and medical assistant are very friendly. I am so happy I found this office. I have 4 kids and she has been great each and every visit.
I have waited hours, yes hours, for rude, impatient and condescending pediatricians. Dr. Kumar takes her time with your child, and you, and she is so caring. She has never made me feel like she knows everything and I know nothing, as some other pediatricians have. I don’t mind if I have to wait a little bit because I know she is going to take her time with my child too. Dr. Kumar and her staff have made me feel like they actually care about my kids. This is such a family friendly place but they are still professional.
I can’t say enough pleasant things about this office.

She’s nice but her wait time is ridiculous!!! Staff is rude!!! Id much rather drive 30 minutes to Dr. Barker in Glendora, than go down the street to this office again. Staffing never pick up. And this place is so unforgiving and money hungry!!!

Since my last review I have stopped taking my kids to this doctor. Not only are the wait times ridiculous, but the doctor disregarded a tumor I had shown her on my 2 year old-​after I insisted, she referred me to a specialist, they removed the tumor in fear of cancer. Needless to say– we don’t go there anymore. I actually drive 30 minutes to a new pediatrician

Ive been taking my 5yr old to Dr. Kumar since she was 1 yr old. Ive changed my health insurance plans several times and have even moved and I will not change pediatricians. Im very picky and I can honestly say she really is a good doctor and a caring one. She really takes her time she has never made us feel like a number like a lot of busy doctors do. She really cares about kids and is passionate about her job. She has a great memory that impresses me. She will remember things from a year ago that happend with my daughter, things she asked me to do or the medications she prescribed. She’s amazing. My daughter loves her and so do I. For the person complaining about being harrassed for not vaccinating her child, My daughter is not vaccinated due to personal beliefs and though she prefers I vaccinate my daughter she respects my decision and has never harrassed me for it. She is very understanding and I will never switch.

At this point I don’t think I will ever take my kids to another pediatrician. Dr. Kumar tells it like it is with no B.S. and I very much appreciate that. She is a great doctor and is very attentive. The staff is also great and super nice!

If you have to see a doctor, she’ll do. If you have a choice in a doctors, I would go elsewhere. I don’t doubt her knowledge or competency as a doctor, but her customer service and the atmosphere, for lack of a better term, was not what I would have hoped for.
First, I had to wait an hour in the waiting room, and my kid was the only one there. After being escorted to the exam room, I waited at least another 20 minutes. With what seemed to be no other patients in the office, I don’t know why I was waiting so long.
Second, the «atmosphere» I referred to was two kids who were children or relatives of some kind to an office employee and the dad walked in and out of the office like they owned the place. It may not be a very big deal, but it gave an unprofessional feel to me.
Lastly, once I finally saw the doctor we essentially got into an argument because my daughter didn’t have a vaccination, I couldn’t explain why, and she refused to give her the vaccination citing she was too old to get it. She kept harassing me as to why or how I could have missed a vaccination. I asked her if that makes her a high risk for it, and she said no it’s not that big of a deal. So she harasses me about missing the vaccination, but admits my daughter will be fine. On top of that, I went to another doctor later explaining I missed the vaccination and if my daughter can still get it, and the other doctor said yes and it wouldn’t be a problem. So again, not a big deal and no need to yell at me for nothing.
In regards to convenience, I was a little spoiled. We moved to the area and previously were taking our kids to another doctor, Coastal Kids, who was very available with several doctors, a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) on staff, and after-​hours on call nurses to call. Their office also had separate sick and well patient waiting rooms. Dr. Kumar’s office has none of that. Granted, it is private practice, but to have no off hours and being the only doctor made it tough when my youngest needed some care in the middle of the night a couple times.
I would not recommend Dr. Kumar. I recently visited Pediatric Partners. Only one visit, but so far a small step up from Dr. Kumar.

Dr. Kumar and her staff are GREAT! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Kumar is genuinely attentive and kind. Office is in a nice bldg and very clean!
5÷9÷13 Update: On a Sunday at 4pm I had a scare with my 5 month old son. I called into Dr. Kumar’s hoping to speak with an on-​call nurse for advice and was directly connected to Dr. Kumar. She reassured me and suggested I take him to urgent care to be checked out… my son was fine! I was so grateful to Dr. Kumar and felt a little less frantic once speaking with her. I did not expect to be connected to her and am SO GLAD I chose her as our pediatrician!

The office of Dr. Kumar is very friendly and quick. Our visits are usually quick, attentive and efficient. The few times I’ve gone, the most we waited to get settle into a room is about 10 minute. We are usually out within an hour tops. The facility is nicely organized and clean.

My daughter had her 3 month check up with Dr. Kumar and I was very impressed. Other reviewers are right about the wait but it’s well worth it. Dr. Kumar has a great bedside manner. She dimmed the lights to make the setting more comfortable for my daughter. Our visit was at least 30 minutes and she took the time to answer all of my questions. Really helpful as a first time mom! The office staff was very nice and attentive as well.
