I ordered a family meal and their chicken was not fresh their mild salsa was sour. The tomatoes were smelly and just bad. Anyway I called them to tell them this was the second time their mild salsa was bad. All they said was bring the food back. Very polite! Not!!! I’ll go to another Juan pollo for better food and service. The one on Riverside Dr in chino sucks!!!

i think a lot of people confuse this location with the other juan pollo on riverside dr. This location is on east end ave and riverside dr across from Joeys BBQ. I’ve been coming here for years and they always have an A. excellent friendly service and you can never go wrong with their food! LOVETHISPLACE

This is the only Juan Pollo that won’t give you large sides if you pay for them. Lost my business.

Staff and Manager were rude. I purchased a family meal to go. chicken was dry, beans tasted like they were old and reheated, but worst of all the salsa and potato salad were sour. we ended up throwing entire meal away.

Just the kind of place I hate to give my money to. They give you an attitude and a hard time if you try to use a coupon that has their address on it, first claiming«that’s not ours». Not to mention, this is the type of place that charges you extra for every little thing, so using a coupon is nice. Also, their prices are quite high compared to other chicken joints. The bad attitude and the poor management makes me not want to go back, ever. There’s other Juan Pollo’s nearby and I’ll probably try those – hopefully they know how to run a business.

Had dinner there again, what a disappointment. The chicken was salty and mushy and mealy like it was old. The rice was flavorless, cold, hard and old. The salsa had freezer burn, the potato salad was missing olives, super salty and tasted like everything else in the refrigerator. The counter girl was nice, but I couldn’t eat the food. A few hours later I have heartburn. Found a better meal at the liquor store next door. Food wasn’t edible expensive if it was edible. I long for the days when I went to the opening of the first Juan Pollo, quality just isn’t there. Don’t bother there are other choices.

I came here late at night and it seemed as though they were trying to get rid of this old, dry, overcooked chicken. It was a joke when I got home!!! Even my dog wouldn’t eat it. There was nothing to eat, that’s how dried up this chicken was. I would of gone back and throw them this chicken at their face and demanded my money back, but they were already closed!!! Yes, this store and the one in Pomona on Garey and Second st, should be shut down!!! The same mentality on serving their customers dried up, overcooked, and old chicken!!! What a disgrace!!!

Decided to give this place a try. Staff was friendly at first until I asked for extra salsa then the owner’s face didn’t look so friendly anymore. Apparently it’s extra fee for salsa seriously? Chicken was really dried & rice was eh… the only item that was good is the potato salad. Would I come back? No thanks… I’ll stick to el pollo loco with unlimited salsa.

I agree with other reviewers that this particular store blows! Don’t go here and if you do check your order for day old chicken and bad sides. I will admit this is based on going here only twice months ago but I see it hasn’t changed. They should realy shut it down.

If you have never been to Juan pollo don’t make this location your first! I love Juan pollo and have been eating there for years and all the other locations you’re going to get a top-notch meal at a great price. But this one really fall short of all the other locations. First off the menu and combo list are some what different then all the other ones, okay not a big deal. But they charge extra for everything jalapenos to use your ATM card and so on that’s really cool. Also the chicken well it’s dry and that is not indicative of what Juan pollo is all about. Also the famous rice was kind of under cook or old I couldn’t really tell. Also there’s a bunch of bumper stickers near the register that read like«I have a bad attitude I don’t like my job» or «don’t rush me» kind of deal that’s not what you want to see when you’re trying to order meal, that’s really a stupid move. I think new management and maybe a few new staff members would do this place a great deal of good.

Wanted to try something different other than El Pollo Loco… Portions are bigger than Pollo Loco… however the breast meat was a little dry. The side of rice was cold and tasted a little old as well. The taste of the chicken was actually very good… but perhaps I just got a bad piece. I might give them another shot in the future, but it won’t be for awhile…

I recommend Juan Pollo, if you’re in the mood for some rotisserie chicken to-go. Everyone I know loves their potatoe salad. The prices are better than El Pollo Loco. Although it has a mom and pop feel, the food and service are consistent. I’ve never had a bad experience at this location or any others.

Love this place for a quick, cheap lunch. The lunch special is 2 pieces of chicken with potato salad, rice, tortillas and salsa plus a drink for like 6 bucks. The chicken is delicious and the woman who works the counter is super friendly. I always feel slightly guilty for eating so many carbs but I figure the chicken is healthy so it balances out, right? At least that’s what I tell myself.

At this perticular location… A Piece of advice, if you order to-go make sure you check your bag before you leave !!! On more then one occasion I get home and there is ALWAYS something missing ! I like the potato salad but i wont go back and forth wasting gas on behalf of their error! Its not that hard people and if you ran out. simply let me know. ! and why is the chicken so dry! was it yesterdays chicken??? Juan’s «Day-Old«Pollo

In not so sure of this place. It had a B rating before and it didnt seem very clean. The chicken tasted old, and it was an unnatural yellow tint. Ive never seen a chicken this color unless it was raw. But it was cooked all the way. Rice was just okay it lacked flavor, and the beans were bland as well. Potato salad was the best part of the whole meal. Wait, scratch that, it was the tortillas, which were cold. On top if that, they were very rude and spoke very little english, so they messed up my order. Then, it was messy In there. I wont be back. Ill stick to my usual chicken reaturaunt.

If you’re ever craving flame broiled chicken and want something different from El Pollo Loco, check out Juan Pollo. This place isn’t pretty but you really can’t expect too much from a fast food type chain. The food is great, the chicken is tender and juicy and comes with tortillas and salsa. I usually order a mini-pack which comes with a whole chicken and some sides. It usually comes with beans, but I usually have them keep the beans and I either double up on the potato salad or the pollo rice. I would have to say I usually come for the potato salad(it’s the best!) but the rice is not too far behind(rice comes with bits & pieces of chicken and some veggies in the rice)
